Wow, ironic that I am listening to you and my husband and his family are scheduled for a cruise September 2-7, 2024 to Jamaica and she's one of the gospel singers scheduled to perform.
I used to attend Leandria’s church when she was a pastor. I was never a member, but my neighbor was, and I provided transportation for my neighbor. I remember observing so many people that were vulnerable, desperate for change, and looking for acceptance bc they had been rejected by others, including other churches. There were times when Leandria didn’t show up bc she had been traveling, and couldn’t make it to the service in time. When she did show up however, her members were so excited bc she appeared to be relatable to them. She would give them hugs, engage in conversation with them, etc. Then, there came a time when she would leave service early bc she didn’t want to engage or be as personable anymore. She would sing more than preach, but whatever she asked of them financially or otherwise, they would always come thru for her. As she became more popular, it seemed she had less and less time for her church. When the ministry ultimately disbanded, it was gut wrenching. Many of those people that she had drawn in were now back in a situation of trying to find acceptance and not judgement from church folk. I’ll never take away from her singing ability, and the way she was able to bring comfort and peace to those that were under her leadership at that time. But I still pray for them til this day because in the end, they were abandoned and let down again by a “pastor”. I don’t even think that she realized that the church hurt she has spoken of experiencing is what she ultimately exuded upon her members. I think she had good intentions, and her heart was in the right place, but I pray that she at some point she totally submits to and be guided by the Holy Spirit. I have nothing but love for her, and wish her God speed. 💜
I love LeAndria , she one of the most realistic and one of the best singers I’ve ever heard. I give her the upmost respect for telling her story, because it’s a lot of other gospel artist and other people in general that deal with the same thing, but act like it’s nothing. Continue singing your heart out to the Lord you’re doing your job. You’re saving souls and I hope I get to meet you one day because you saved my life..
There are high functioning addicts... Rather alcohol or drugs etc... Doesn't mean she's not struggling with her sobriety. She's just coping. Now is she trying to make money with her talent absolutely.. Most performers get paid for their talent or gifts...
Leandria has been out of order longer than 14 years. Alcohol is not Leandria's problem. Alcohol and other substances are her coping mechanisms. The reason people excuse Leandria's behavior is because they live the same type of carnal lifestyle that Leandria lives.

She could be! I was married to a functioning alcoholic for 13 years. He couldn’t function without a drink. He drank for breakfast, lunch and dinner! He went to work everyday though. He finally hit rock bottom and got help.
She has become a gospel hustler. This is just awful. She should be ashamed and so should those who support her in this. If any of those artists had an anointing / discernment they'd lay hands on her and rebuke the devil...for real. Just shamming!
I agree with some of the points that you are making regarding Le’Andria and her scamming abilities … she is talented and can sing you under the benches but I have always side eyed her since Sundays Best!!! The Clark Sisters came to sing in concert at my church and they were ridiculous, like she just said what the one Clark Sister requested before she came..... times that by all 4 sisters, and they all requested certain foods individually, even the different types of water they wanted (most expensive water), but the church spent a lot of money getting ready for them, buying specific foods etc., and the sad part is they didn't eat not one thing, acted like we were beneath them, even snubbed our Bishop... SMH, but their entourage carried food containers, drinks to their cars /vans etc. and the Clark Sisters were gone headed back to Detroit, after they requested a ton of things and didn't touch not one thing. But you can't treat people like that, as quickly as God gave it he take it away. Leandrea has never been one of my favorite singers and never been one I'd pay money to go see but stop with all the antics, as the old folks used to say, "either poop or get off the pot".... IJS!!!!
I’m not sure if I fully agree with the gift versus calling take. I think she’s using her gift in the wrong way. It is exhausting to use your gift-calling to generate income. That doesn’t mean she’s not called to sing. Singing for her is easy. It’s the other stuff that is exhausting because of the expectations put on her by the industry. If she could make money doing something else and be able to sing for free, I think she would. Interesting take though…
I was literally thinking 🤔 about her , Kirk Franklin, and a lot of these new age gospel singers that think they can live how they want and support the world and still sing for the Lord.

Le'Andra stood my church up when she was expected to perform for a concert. She took the bag and ran. She was a no call, no show and didn't even tell her band. We found out when she was not at the airport where a driver was there to pick her up. The story she gave later was unbelievable, however, I hear that there is a video of her on vacation, sipping on something, waterside. This is MOMV!!!
Discernment is missing amongst church folk. Anytime someone has a beautiful voice, I hear the same thing, he or she is anointed. A preacher delivers an awesome sermon, he’s anointed. Not necessarily. Some preachers aren’t even saved. As you pointed out so well, there is a difference between having a talent and a calling.
I have to comment on this again. I wish my nephew who committed suicide could have said to himself let me go on tour for a year and make some money and then come back to take care of my mental health. Mental health didn’t wait on him 😢😢😢 She needs to stop playing around with God.

I agree with much of what was said and I see the game being ran. How much is rehab?Everybody singing in the concert is just as guilty if that’s the case. Gospel Artists rarely truly belong to God nor themselves. They belong to the same industry as Secular Artists. They don’t choose, the clothes they wear, where they go or what they say. We see what happens to those who don’t go along with program. That IS their job! They are in unholy COVENANTS as soon as they sign the contracts! I’m still praying.
It is sad she is using her issues to get money ou t of people, she isnt a victim. If she is really going to rehab, she shouldn't have to raise funds for rehab, if she's been touring, she should of saved some money. And if she was going to rehab, she wouldn't be going to Belize. She has a gift, but I think at times she takes it for granted. At least she is honest about her problem. She needs to do the music that she wants to sing. Just do the secular music. I'm not trying to judge, but I feel that she wants folks to feel sorry for her, but this has gone on for years. She isn't going to get help until she gets serious. She doesn't really want help. She was out here in New Orleans at average size churches charging 40 per person to get in.. like no light show, real production, just basically a good musical 😂
That is why I do not run to concerts, gospels, or not. It is sad that so many people get caught on the emotional side instead of the spiritual side. A talent is a talent, but that does not mean someone is walking with the Lord. GOD does and can deliver a person with addictions if they recognize they have a problem and are willing to be delivered.
I thank God that I am not moved by what these people call themselves. The music that they make help win souls, but they need to surrender to their own music! 🤷🏽♀️
Leandria came here to Florida, a few years ago, to perform as the headliner at a center I was working at at the time. Her time came and no one knew where she was. She finally showed up an hour or so late, in regular clothes, and announced to the crowd that she would not be performing because she didn't get all of her money, and walked off the stage. She did stay a few minutes to take pictures with people in the hallway, but boy were those saints upset with the promoter. The cops even had to be called at one point. This raised the question of should she have still performed or at least sang one song anyway, because she was doing it for God and as a way to minister to the saints? Was she being a deva, or was this her standing up for herself? To many, it was a reminder that even though these people are "gospel" singers, it's their bread and butter and they do it for the money.
She needs to repent to God and listen to her gospel song 'Deliver Me" and cry out to God for him to deliver her ftom the demonic things that she's going through.
When the music stop and when the band goes home that's when I live the life I sing about in my song!! These so called gospel singers so called pimping pastors bishops I can't listen to that mess! I do no she spent time in jail for DUI and apart of her release required her to wear a ankle bracelet she told the story at one of her performance!!! But I must say I enjoy her voice the girl can sang!!!
I think this might be the first time I disagree with you. I do think she has a problem as well as everything else you said. I believe it’s both. Now she may be an alcoholic because she’s going against her true self to appear to be a gospel singer and that’s not what she truly wants. She’s probably always abandoned herself for her family’s approval so she’s become an alcoholic but I believe she is. But she’s always grifting and manipulating people for her personal gain. I believe it’s all true.

LeAndria reminds me of a panhandler. Instead of holding a sign she uses her voice and religion. She wanted the fame and riches of the secular world but Gospel is where she landed. The crossover is frowned upon also. The based she built won’t carry over. In the gospel music world you have to work 10x’s harder, less wealth and deal with backlash when you be who you really are!
The fascinating thing about the Gospel music industry is its ability to be Pious while simultaneously being “Gangster” at the time. The whole “art imitates life” thing has always had a what came first “chicken or egg” quality to it. I believe over the years Gospel artists realized they could meet Hip Hop and Secular halfway and really capitalize on things that would have maybe slowed their career years earlier. Now they can use these antics to “Pimp” the fans🤨
Sadly, I feel this is where many have headed. Even the everyday folks. I'm all for cutting out the middle man and monetizing your gift, opinions, recommended products, etc. However, it's starting to all become a big grift and a form of manipulation. They know the buzz words and topics that will grab people's attention and "keep them safe" from being held accountable. I can only imagine the overtime those folks over at GoFundMe are doing to keep up. Just because you can do it and get away with it doesn't make it right. As believers, we have to be convicted about these things. You know when you are manipulating a situation because of folk's soft spots or even personal struggles. People brag about having all this emotional intelligence, but what good is it without common sense? 😫🤦🏾♀️

That is why I do not run to concerts, gospels, or not. It is sad that so many people get caught on the emotional side instead of the spiritual side. A talent is a talent, but that does not mean someone is walking with the Lord. GOD does and can deliver a person with addictions if they recognize they have a problem and are willing to be delivered.
I thank God that I am not moved by what these people call themselves. The music that they make help win souls, but they need to surrender to their own music! 🤷🏽♀️

Leandria came here to Florida, a few years ago, to perform as the headliner at a center I was working at at the time. Her time came and no one knew where she was. She finally showed up an hour or so late, in regular clothes, and announced to the crowd that she would not be performing because she didn't get all of her money, and walked off the stage. She did stay a few minutes to take pictures with people in the hallway, but boy were those saints upset with the promoter. The cops even had to be called at one point.
This raised the question of should she have still performed or at least sang one song anyway, because she was doing it for God and as a way to minister to the saints? Was she being a deva, or was this her standing up for herself? To many, it was a reminder that even though these people are "gospel" singers, it's their bread and butter and they do it for the money.
When we all get to heaven, i doubt that we'll see any of the gospel artists up there with us. Stop putting these worldly singers on a pedestal.
She needs treatment for substance abuse And therapy for the trauma she's been through Hiw can you minster to others, when you are so broken 😢

She needs to repent to God and listen to her gospel song 'Deliver Me" and cry out to God for him to deliver her ftom the demonic things that she's going through.

I do no she spent time in jail for DUI and apart of her release required her to wear a ankle bracelet she told the story at one of her performance!!! But I must say I enjoy her voice the girl can sang!!!

I think this might be the first time I disagree with you. I do think she has a problem as well as everything else you said. I believe it’s both. Now she may be an alcoholic because she’s going against her true self to appear to be a gospel singer and that’s not what she truly wants. She’s probably always abandoned herself for her family’s approval so she’s become an alcoholic but I believe she is. But she’s always grifting and manipulating people for her personal gain. I believe it’s all true.

LeAndria reminds me of a panhandler. Instead of holding a sign she uses her voice and religion. She wanted the fame and riches of the secular world but Gospel is where she landed. The crossover is frowned upon also. The based she built won’t carry over. In the gospel music world you have to work 10x’s harder, less wealth and deal with backlash when you be who you really are!

The fascinating thing about the Gospel music industry is its ability to be Pious while simultaneously being “Gangster” at the time. The whole “art imitates life” thing has always had a what came first “chicken or egg” quality to it. I believe over the years Gospel artists realized they could meet Hip Hop and Secular halfway and really capitalize on things that would have maybe slowed their career years earlier. Now they can use these antics to “Pimp” the fans🤨
Sadly, I feel this is where many have headed. Even the everyday folks. I'm all for cutting out the middle man and monetizing your gift, opinions, recommended products, etc. However, it's starting to all become a big grift and a form of manipulation. They know the buzz words and topics that will grab people's attention and "keep them safe" from being held accountable. I can only imagine the overtime those folks over at GoFundMe are doing to keep up. Just because you can do it and get away with it doesn't make it right. As believers, we have to be convicted about these things. You know when you are manipulating a situation because of folk's soft spots or even personal struggles. People brag about having all this emotional intelligence, but what good is it without common sense? 😫🤦🏾♀️

In regard to her being an alcoholic, I agree with you, I have watched her sing and a FOR REAL alcoholic can’t do what she does on stage or otherwise.
