I was walking down the street, listening to this song, when I came across a dead squirrel.
I was staring at it, thinking about how to move the squirrel so he wouldn't get squished by cars.

My theory: Jack was inlove w a random gurl since they were kiddos, but she always friendzoned him, as we see in "stay friends, problem that u can't defend". Some years later she accepted his proposal and they started to date, but he noticed that she was sending love letters to other guys, as we see in "but sth bugs me bout the way u lick your envelopes" and she kept cheating on him until adult age. My theory: he is singing about an amazon package but the package was delivered to the wrong house so he had to order the product a second time. He really liked what he ordered too, infact he states he loves it. When he oppened it, he was in the dark so he turned the lights on. After that, he got some lunch with his friend. Then then he goes home and tells the product he likes it. So he sends a letter to the producer to tell him how much he liked it. When he got a response, he did not like the way the envelope had been licked shut. When he opened it, he realized he sent it to the wrong place! This broke his heart because he put a lot of effort into the letter. So basically the song is kinda a vent/rant about the whole situation.

Apologies for rambling in the comments, but this song means a lot to me. I don’t know if there’s a purpose or meaning behind the song besides random words strung together, but I can relate to this song beyond belief. I struggle to deal with certain sounds and sensory things, so sometimes someone popping gum or sitting a certain way will quite literally feel as if someone is stabbing me in the head with a screwdriver, I’m being blown up by blazing fireworks, I cannot describe my pain. It hurts. It always hurts, and I struggle to deal with it. When I was younger, it was a fairly recent issue (it only showed up when I was in fourth grade), and I had a lot harder of a time handling it and trying to understand what was going on. So I hid it, continued to smile, and didn’t tell anyone for years, literal years, how much I suffered on a daily basis. I was convinced everyone would think I was insane if people heard how much little things in life hurt. So I just stayed quiet. And for a kid riding the bus home in sixth grade, feeling like nobody understood them and ever would understand them, having dealt with a day of just being in total pain, this song helped me a lot as I tried to cover up my tears as I cried. Like the whole envelope thing- I would genuinely feel like I was going to die some days if I saw a person lick their finger or something. I felt so alone, that I couldn’t tell anyone, that it was a problem that I could not defend. Seriously. That’s how I relate to this song, and though it sounds stupid, this song got me through one of the roughest times of my life, and now I am stronger and can talk about my pain more easily. Some people think I’m insane, but most are really supportive and just idk, this song really did help me in a time where I didn’t feel heard.
