Hi can you tell me what the difference between these and weber. I like this grill for the height adjustable and also the cast iron grates. Is there a new model and what's the difference is there is.

Smoke should not be escaping where lid meets bottom half.
Hi there! Our units are not sealed, so some smoke will escape. This is also a charcoal grill and not a full smoker unit, so while you can smoke effectively on charcoal grills, that is a secondary function of this BBQ.

Weber also allows smoke to escape around the lid: ruclips.net/video/wywzXh5sB7U/видео.html . So it is a common issue with lids with hinges, regardless whether it is Napoleon or Weber. Of course you always have the option of buying a Napoleon without hinges so you have more leeway to achieve a tighter seal.
Yes that was a shockingly bad fit. Worst advert for a kettle ever. I have a Napoleon grill with a lid that seals quite nicely. Though it is not hinged.
