(7:07) Then, Bryan Lynn reports on the latest findings about the presence of water on the moon. A new study suggests sources of water on the moon are more widespread than previously thought. Past studies had suggested water existed in the moon’s extreme northern and southern areas. But the new research found evidence that water molecules likely exist over much wider areas of the moon. (13:41) Following the Science Report, Ashley asks Bryan how the most recent study is different from earlier studies that suggest the moon might hold an amount of water. Bryan answers that the most recent study seems to suggest that there is a lot of water under the surface of the moon over a wider area than had been thought before.
