I did not expect Pam’s 2nd date to be so good! He really handled and kinda calmed her quirkiness so well and was not easily off put by it. So good to watch!
I noticed none of the men asked Anise what her PhD was in. That seemed the obvious next question. Also interesting how much conversation on the internet about this show.
Great review as usual! Although I like the show and can relate to the pissy dating pool, I’m not sure how I feel about some of the daters. I’m part of the target audience (I’m 56 & single) these people seem much older than me and my friend group. And YES, I can also attest that we do use the word “Thirsty!”
Somehow I get the feeling you are white cause only white people would say this... Cause the Southern white lady in the show would NEVER date a Black man (she only wouldnt say this on tv........) got me?
I get how the glasses are part of Lori's brand, and for her career, especially the PR related one, I can see how it works for her, but in the romantic part of her life, those glasses are a detriment to her. On the one hand, yes if they are a part of her, then whoever likes her will like her glasses too. But really they take away from the visibility of her face. Dating and romance are a lot about body language, and those glasses impede visibility of her face, they dominate her face. If the eyes are the windows of the soul, then Lori is hiding them. Every time I see her daughter (and son) I see what nice features she has and how she looks like her mom, but Lori's pretty face is obstructed by those big ol' glasses.
She seemed happy that he was leaving. I don’t think 💭 he was her type and that’s why she was so nervous because some people just can’t hurt peoples feelings. Anise would’ve called an Uber 😹😹
One thing that rubbed me the wrong way with Pam’s date was when she asked him if he WOULD or WOULD like to get married again. He confidently confirmed “I WILL get married again!” Women don’t often get that easy choice 🫤 He wasn’t physically attractive, but still knew without a doubt. One of the other Later Daters had the same assertion in a future episode. Meanwhile, Pam probably still has hair dye under her fingernails and her birds are her closest companions besides the engaged granddaughter.
I agree about the glasses being a prop. They scream over the top to me.
She is more into those glasses… just wait! It’s her branding while I think it should be an occasional frame for certain outfits. It’s too much!
The glasses act like a barrier to the outer world. If they were round or see-through, that would be a different thing.
The glasses are fly but once the coach pointed it out she should have taken the advice

Tell me that Suzanne doesn’t remind you of Golden Girls’ Blanche Devereaux?😂
I said the same thing!

I really enjoy watching your channel!! So glad you are covering this show !!Great team & love your perspectives & takes
Anise annoyed me by how much she kept focussing on him being white. I get it given her history but it became visibly uncomfortable
She just wasn’t as open and cosmopolitan as she wants to portray.
