Watching Jeff playing along with Chris and David is a dream come true to me. How could it posibly get better than that? I'm a big Marty fan, but Marty belongs to an another era of Megadeth, wich I also truely love, but damn, this reunion of old school Megadeth is a true gift from these gentlemen to us. Thank you so much to everyone involved in this project for letting this happen. I'm blown away!
Jeff Young is a monster we didnt get to hear enough of in Megadeth. Chris Poland is a legendary jazz crossover metal guitarist. Jr is the shit on bass. So Far, So Good, So What? Is a gem and the reason for not playing songs off of SF,SG,SWh? Is not many can duplicate those sounds.

This is really neat because these are former members of Megadeth, so everybody played a huge role in this band’s success and existence, so everybody in Kings of Thrash keeping their music alive, everybody had something to do with Megadeth, especially the two guitarists and the bass player, I mean tough shit is Dave Mustaine is jealous or pissed off because the members of Kings of Thrash do not care about what Dave Mustaine thinks, Jeff Young said, in an interview that they were going to just keep the music and legacy of their former band alive, it’s not going to benefit Dave Mustaine, i’m led to believe that this band will end up writing original music eventually, I’m sure all of these guys are very creative and will have no problems writing new music, I think it’s phenomenal that they get to play early/old Megadeth songs and playing the first couple of records in full and in its entirety all of the way through, I mean hey everybody loves good music, there’s no reason to hate upon what happened with their former band’s drama, they just want to keep the music alive and I don’t blame them!! Damn... I'm kicking myself for missing this still!! Got to meet Dave about 2 weeks after this show and got to hang with him for a good 6ish hours! Very humble guy!!! No ego in sight at all. He was selling that bass he is playing in this video and he let me hold it and play some riffs. Only thing I forgot to to was ask him to play peace sells on it!!! But got some stage used strings he used, a sweat band, picks, guitar strap and of course had to get those signed. One of the best moments of my life!!!!

I seen the greatest guitar player in our time EVH when VH got back with Sammy and Ed was fucked up. He was out of tune out just phoning in his shit and I’d still see VH anytime anywhere. I’m glad these guys are out there giving it a go. I’d see them out of tune and off time just to hear live music from one of the all time heavy bands. Dave M is one of if not the best heavy metal guitar players to ever strap on a Flying V. Big shoes to fill. Give these dudes a little more time to get it together and they will get back to gigging firm! Keep it up Kings of Thrash!

That man is clear outta this world. He is the most unique player ever. I was lucky to see them in 1987 at the Hammy Odeon in London, England. A night I will always cherish.
yes, really... my man - all apologies. i was lucky to get this red guitar with the strap on 2 of the 4 nights... imagine THAT! LOL you look down mid-show about to start the wicked, concentration intensive KIMB set and diespite your clearest, most polite instructions - NO STRAP anywhere in sight & the only "tech" on the other side of the stage!? that part of this first run was an unexpected drag and i do sincerely apologize. we had 1 "guitar tech" the management hired, paid a crazy $um and flew in from the other side of the US, but why??? i made the mistake of trusting him to tune my guitars properly before the shows, he had some of the Floyd Rose fine tuners cranked so hard one way or the other i couldn't adjust on the fly - Floyd Rose tactics 101: fine tuners need to be centered to start a show so you have play either way. This was ongoing for the four shows but what happened here on this night is, i was shredding some solo on an earlier song & the high E got caught under the edge of the neck pickup - somebody below says i broke a string but that wasn't it, just the strain on the string when it got caught on the pickup put it out of tune and the fine tuner had no play to correct it @ that time. anyone @ The Whisky show knows we went on 1/2 late cute same dude hooked Poland's rig up wrong after opening bands. you can trust, i'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again - this kind of Spinal Tap stuff is a buzz kill for all of us - when i toured in the classical/flamenco world, the audience expected and appreciated that the artists take time to tune between songs .*shrugs* i hope you guys can tell, we're doing our very best for you, we've poured over every measure and cell of every song to give you the best performances possible but even the best laid plans... @ this show/venue for example, the RF and Mexican radio interference was so loud out of all of the guitar amps @ sound check, i had to do what Eric Johnson did @ this same place, wrapping tin foil around my amps and in between every pedal connection - idk if you can see the foil or hear in any of the AZ videos but it was silly... it worked, "a little bit." no excuses - stuff happens & we soilder on! just thought it might be interesting for some to hear a little little of the behind the scenes from our vantage. the good news is, we did a 3 camera/multi track recording @ The Whisky couple nights later & it came out really cool... i'm going in to mix the best of Tuesday & Wednesday this week! so, we hope you'll give that a listen early 2023. thanks!
