It feels really satisfying to watch the aim7 speed up slowly burning its whole way to a target instead of zooming out and flaming out in a few seconds (although it does suffer from slow acceleration)
lee can you please play the gr7 or av8b at the 11.7 br aim-9ms and the matchmaker is quite good i mostly get 11.0 games and sometimes 10.7 where i can dunk on f5e's with aim9ms and the Harrier II models are actually quite agile they can pull 13G sustained sometimes (although bleed speed) they can still be manipulated with thrust vectoring. And finally the harrier gr7 has 700 flares at 11.7.... the av8b has around 200 whic is still insane for the br
@OumuamuaOumuamua F-5 has a much much better flight model than the Harriers. Not to mention I don't see complaining about a flareless 9.3 or 9.7 fighting the F-5's
Liked before I watched, knew you'd speak highly of this one. It really is a precious plane. For it's BR the EJ Kai with F-16 radar (which somehow isn't as wonky) lends itself unexpectedly well to aggressive charges like what we all saw Lee doing here, it's not an anomaly.
I've been playing a lot of the Harrier GR.7 at 11.7 and that is a sneaky little plane. You have a good amount of flares and 4 AIM-9Ms. Most people aren't expecting to get hit by missiles they can't see
what makes this jet scarier is that half its kit isn't even in the game (all be it I kinda don't want them added for a long time as its br will definitely increase), from what I can tell it's supposed to be able to carry alot more ground ordinance, aam-3s and possibly 4s and 5s (as this jet wasn't retired till literally last year)
@@GeneralLee2000 knowing gaijin and knowing that Japan doesn't really have much left to add other than prototypes/testbeds, trainers/tandem seat jets, variants of aircraft already In the game (possibly proposed export jets similar to the f-16aj) and 2 heavy hitters (f-2 and f-35j) I think they'll probably only get new rank premiums and possibly a squadron Vic (even doh i hate that idea) it only makes sense since we're definitely getting to atleast rank 10 in air imo

11.7 is really great right now. I have been enjoying the Mirage 2000. From my experience as well the sparrows are just doing their own thing lately. I had on example of a mig29 afk flying at like 2000 meters, fired 3 7m's at him coming towards me and all 3 flew into the ground.
I got a taste of the EJ Kai via the Kurnass 2000 in the configuration that it originally released in with an F-16esque radar, sparrows and 9Ls. Truly a joy to play, definitely still an amazing plane now with 6 pythons at 11.3, but a completely different playstyle for sure. I don’t miss it enough to grind the entire Japanese tree for what will only ever really amount to copy paste planes and then the F-2 “eventually” though 😂
@@GeneralLee2000 the missile must have already pulled enough lead and was simply flying towards the guy such that the seeker was mostly pointing forward and the guy must have not moved enough so the seeker probably reverted to pointing directly forward it was still able to re aquire
I kinda disagree, AAM-3 should be added to EJ kai, as with the R-73 on Floggers, WT is IRL accurate to gadgets and mechanics and weapons. Although some weapons do get balancing changes. Cough* the F-100F in chinese tree should get AIM-9Ps cus it had them IRL but doesn't ingame cus of balance. I hate that. This is why I would like Gaijin to add it in the roadmap to make a dynamic BR system. Depenind on your loadout and stock-spade performance you will be matched accordingly.
The main reason F-4S players are not too competitive in air RB comes down to the fact, that the plane is used for grinding. And unfortunately the most reliable way of grinding XP and SL is just bombing bases. So why even bother trying to get kills, when it's inconsistent and doesn't actually compete farmwise with ground pounding?
I was initially rather disappointed to find out that EJ Kai didn't get the AAM-3s back when the F-15J first dropped. In hindsight that's probably for the best since it'll get uptiered if it DID get them EDIT : lmao haven't reached the 2nd half of the vid when i wrote the comment, jinxed
One thing i did suggest to my friend one time is the idea of the BR changing depending on equipment selection. altho it'll be a lot of work I bet. I love the EJ Kai, my favourite aircraft honestly. and I would like the AAM-3 on it (plus other things that it is capable of carrying). But I know that the BR would increase doing so. I was thinking, maybe say, 11.7 with current kit and 12.0 for when AAM-3 is selected kinda thing. say if you want to challenge yourself. I personally like the idea but idk, i would like to ask for your and others opinions. But yeah, just a suggestion/thought. It's been brought up quite a lot, it would be both hard to implement and easy to abuse, and would also make it more difficult to know what the enemy is using. Probably more trouble than it's worth but who knows
Flares & chaff are somewhat limited in the game. IRL they were improved just like missiles. Maybe not at a similar pace, but still flares used in 1980's are not the same as flares from 1960's. So in theory advanced seeker head on high-g missile shouldn't mean 100% kill rate.

Even if the matchmaker is better I would still prefer the f-14 just because of its maneuverability. half of my kills in it are gun kills which isn't very feasible if you're flying a brick. P.S. Instead of saying 1st stage afterburner just say halfterburner, it's a lot quicker.
You say you are not a fan of strong Missels on old Airframes. Then what are you think about the German Phantom ICE with AMRAAMs??? Maybe Gajin impliments a new EJ Kai wit AMM-3.

If you can harness the F4E's power, vs the F4S, and, to a degree, the 23ML, it truly is your best jet. 11.7 sounds like F-14A, and if we keep to that strictly (just to keep it shorter'ish) at that BR you meet the Mirage CS5 and J8F almost by default. I've used the Mirage CS5 to grind the Mirage 4000 for some days now. Based on that, it has the Matra (Dorito missile), and the scary thing there is it also has a very good radar. Even when you go super low, the Dorito still has a good chance to knock you out, always get your radar missile off faster than the Mirage, ALWAYS. Further, the Mirage has the Magic 2 which I call "TADAAAA" because with it's IRCCM it's very hard to flare and if you don't pay attention will really live up to it's name and make you disappear. It's just that one plane you don't wanna be in front of. Also be careful trying to gun run Mirage's, they are delta wings and can easily make you overshoot, whatever you do you DO NOT want to overshoot in front of him, he has 30mm DEFA's and Magic 2's. J8F I have no experience with (yet), but it has HMD, Chinese Magic's and some really whacky Radar missiles as well, at the very least I would treat it with a healthy dose of respect. Meaning, first and most cowardly chance you get to knock one outta the fight, do it.
BR9+ realistic:16v16 only the large maps. 100 tickets per team .3 runways per team. Two runways are fighter spawns and fighters are distributed evenly on opposite sides of the map. The middle runway is for strike aircraft, 4 per team. They must carry a strike load preset; planes such as jas37 may carry fighter load outs and spawn as fighters. The strike planes role is to destroy several marked SAM sites across the map. 7 minutes into the game,AI strategic bombers (5)will spawn. If SAM sights remain, the AI will be destroyed. If they destroy the enemy base they lose 50 tickets. Each enemy fighter or strike plane lost loses the enemy 2 tickets. Each bomber destroyed loses 4 tickets. For victory enemy must reach 0 tickets(1 base destroyed, 5 bombers killed, 15 enemy planes destroyed or some other combination. Or, all player aircraft must be destroyed. Players have 1 respawn until the 10th minutes into the game at which point respawn is disabled. Strike fighters should respawn as interceptors is SAM sights still remain in order to destroy enemy bombers. Fighters may only enter the strike plane sectors once 3 enemy fighters are destroyed in their sector to stop strike planes being instantly killed.

AAM-3s yes, 4s and 5s no. There was one testbed that carried AAM-4 though, so possibly an event vehicle or prem in the future?

Percentage sounds a bit "German", but vs non-gunpod F-4's, in a pitched fight, it's noticeable.
