Hurricane Florence In North Carolina In September 2018

Video of hurricane Florence affecting coastal North Carolina near Wilmington and Topsail Beach from September 13-14, 2018 in and around New Hanover County and Pender Counties. The video shows the strong winds and high surf / heavy rains in hurricane conditions as hurricane Florence struck the area, making landfall on Wrightsville Beach. The video shows the strong winds, rain, and storm surge / high surf during the storm, as well as some commentaries by myself and meteorologist Derek Sibley who was with me. I know a guy my dad fixed his house in in between Whiteville and Lumberton and his house got ripped up from a tornado from this storm and he was in his house for 15 days without food or water and he was so thankful for my dad he was in his mid 70s

Yeah newport was completely flooded for 3 days and you couldn't enter or leave Morehead during that time. It was wild.

Had a few friends that rode this storm out,which is wild,cause many other structures around them were seriously damaged (like Grinders..which was a few blocks from some of them and their former college house was 4 places down) one of them rode out on Carolina beach (his parents beach house two rows from the beach made it through with minimal structure damage) and another on Beaufort.

I got 3 days off of school because of flooding, i live about 20-30 minutes away from downtown. There was mainly minor wind damage where i live though.
