ive just begun my last year of highschool and I just can't believe that this journey is coming to an end. your speech on growing up and having to eventually leave your childhood home and your family hit really close and made me cry. I can't wait to be independent and have a life of my own but still its so scary and truly sad. anyways I wish you the best, you're so comforting it's like talking to a really close friend.

Growing up really is both terrifying and exciting. Your video is calming and lovely as always, and I just wanted to say that if you're thinking about moving out already and how that will affect you in the future, then you will definitely be cherishing the moments spent with your family and friends as you are now until that time comes, and you will be okay. Take care 💕

the thing you said about lockdown is really true. Our mental ages were the ones that we started it all with. We were shielded from reality in a way and that made it hard for us to mature and grow up. it's actually pretty crazy.

As someone who's just entered their second year of uni, It's kinda mad how much you evolve as a person in just a year of living independently. For me, being forced to have to provide for myself was the push I needed to better understand myself and my own needs, but it can also be overwhelming. It's also an opportunity to have and be in control of your own space. Wishing the best for anyone moving to uni. :)

I’m 17, too. This vlog catched the mine eye really suddenly and I’ve just realized that I’m 17 and this video perhaps has a right relation to me! It means, that I am a person, who’s going to pass exams, who’s going to apply to university, who’s going to dance with somebody on the graduation party. My school life has really brought me so much; and today I even don’t want to go to school. I mean, some things have changed for the last two years at school, and I got as a so much well, as I lost something pleasant for me. Today I’m preferring the education. And the cost of it is the reduction my friendships’ bolds; I pretty rarely can see my lovely friend, although we’re living in two steps. She prefers studying, too. I’m glad that we both appreciate that and try to understand each other. On the whole, I don’t regret, that once made a decision and decided to study( I don’t think, that I learn to exhaustion), besides, I could study and improve my English skills till that moment, that I can really communicate with someone and I always get a real pleasure from it. I choose to pass English exam, while my native language is Russian. I’ve always been in the last rows and I’m grateful my parents, who always maintain me and give me the faith in myself. It’s hard for me to believe that, but I’ m telling my own story on the language, which always brings me only a sense of shame, which I promised to never study in former times and right now I’m disrupting all the my principles! I just wanna say thanks to my destiny for all the opportunities, which it gives me all the time.

И если честно, я считаю это правильным чувством! as someone who is in their third year of uni but actually living alone alone, with 0 flatmates, for the first time this year - there is something beautiful about your individual journey into adulthood. no two experiences are the same, so try and not get too caught up in comparing your journey to others.

I am now just starting my first year of uni and I just have to say that the growth you do in that one year is absolutely insane (at least it was for me). Try and think about where you were last year and how much you’ve changed since then. That much change and more will happen in this next year! I promise you’re going to be fine and I believe in you! It's a very sweet and sour concept because theres so many new things i'll experience but it also feels like i'm leaving my childhood behind, like leaving my family and saying goodbye to my friends that i've had for the longest time.

Everything you said about growing up was so relatable. I´ve also just started my final year of high school, I´m turning 18 in November,
I´ve never lived anywhere other than my childhood home and I have no idea where I´ll be this time next year. As much as I love my home, there is this part of me that really wants to leave and see more of the world. But at the same time, the thought of leaving can be terrifying because there´s just so much I don´t know yet... Anyways, it is so comforting to see that other people are going through the exact same thing right now :)

It's really daunting to me that I'm on the tail end of my time spent with my parents, my brother, my grandparents, my childhood friends etc. As a kid you spend nearly all of your time with them, then when you go to school, it slowly becomes less and less, and next year when uni starts and I move out It might be that I only see my family every couple of weeks. That means I've probably spent about 85% of my time with my family that i will ever spend, it's really confronting to think about. At the same time, I'm excited to finally have a go at making a change in the world, being respected a bit more, having the independence to live where I want, do what I want etc. I wasn't the type of person that loved school but I always understood that it's a time where I always have a safety net made for me. Now I have to make my own safety net, learn to climb on my own. I'm excited for the future, and excited to try to solve some problems in the world.

the way this was filmed, edited, ... chefs kiss. i turned 18 a few months ago and uni is kicking my ass. i haven't moved out yet (it's not super common in my country for first years) but i'm slowly becoming ready to go but it's going to be heartbreaking having to leave my childhood home

i love your home and the place you're living in. to me , i had to leave my parents house for study and it was really hard ; lot of days i cry because i miss them; and i miss being taken care of as a teenage girl; but im trying my best to enjoy this time and work better and learning how to love my self and do all what it takes to be there for her especially the last year of highschool and for me in my country ;this year this exam can really draw my future so im working on that!!

thank you my love so much for this video. i felt so alone with these confused thoughts about what i should be doing with the upcoming of leaving my childhood home and fending for myself too. It's nice to know we are all kinda living with this uncertainty and i suppose it's our choice to either embrace or fear away from it

I've been thinking the same thing about going to uni next year. The thought of living alone scares me soo much. And the thought of being away from family makes me happy and sad at the same time.

I actually had/have the opposite mindset. I’m 20 now but I always wanted to grow up and move out etc. I just moved into my first apartment and I had a bread down the first month. I did NOT want to grow up. All I wanted was to be back in my home with my mom. It’s really weird Lol but that’s just my mind. It is fun but I really don’t like growing up now that I’m an adult (almost 21). Just enjoy every moment until you move out!!

so weird. i was just thinking about how weird september is and how nothing makes sense somehow haha. this year in particular was one of the scariest i've ever experienced in my life while at the same time i've already been feeling lost for like almost 2 years... everything just came flying at me and now that it's september it feels like the year is going to finally end (even tho that doesn't mean that this hard time ends) but at the same time i am so sad bc i feel that i couldn't really live this year and enjoy the moment. i miss summer. i miss feeling happy when the first flowers start blooming in the beginning of spring. all these things i couldn't experience or they just flew past me bc of bitter worldy circumstances. but new flowers grow and bloom every year despite of the struggles you face in life.. idk september is weird. and it's 2am i need to sleep.

Same here, I just started my first year in university 2 months ago. I left home for the first time.I was excited at first but then turned to be upset. I have to live in dormitory, so I’m always wondering how it feels to live alone. In my point of view, living alone can absolutely help you to deal with your own business and stick to your own plans without others’ interruption😢.

I left this summer. Found an apartment thankfully with my sister but it’s 4 hours away from my home and I transitioned from a small village to the second biggest city in my country. It’s scary I’ve had many panic attacks but honestly it’s a nice adventure.

I was in grade 11 when we went into lockdown so when I graduated last year, it felt weird. I remember thinking “this isn’t how graduating is supposed to feel”. Now I’m 19 and turning 20 in less than 2 weeks. Growing up is uncomfortable yet beautiful

I'm 18 in two weeks, and like... what? I remember my first day of highschool, my first sentance was 'I can't wait to be 4th year and get out of here'. Bzt now I love my highschool. It might put crazy academic prrssure on me and got my mentality bit shittier in that field, but also I learned so much, also my hs has loads of good programs and fun things and like...I want more of it. I just got out of lockdown last srmester and...It was so fun! We had 100 of celebrations and school clubs and we have a thing where at April, there is a week off classes and the whole week is filled with different activities (minni footbal, basketball, some more sports, us drama club make a huge play and our local theatre lets us perform it on their stage, biology club makes expreciments, literature club makes everyone write poems, cooking competition and last is HUGE competition between classses in with one has a best costume- something like halloween in america). Plus some more things, but it would be too much to write it. And...Because of corona, I experienced nothing of it. I never went to the grade school trip, I never had a reaserch presentation in classes I haver had that fun part of school that made it easier to be in. I was also locked up as a freshmen (15) and lost all of my school experience and I won't forgive that to a Universe.
