@carlabonesso Don't agree with that at all. He can sing perfectly with bands, even full orchestras. The problem is the sound levels in general, plus you need to remember this song is his, he has sang it 1000s of times, each time his own particular way. Now he has to sing it with a 'band' and his own song must sound alien to him in some ways. That can't be easy. Considering that - I think he does pretty well.
+He's singing well this version of "Rent"!! But I admit there are some songs he has (nowadays) some difficult to find he right tone..They are studio masters ..and no one can take this title from them...
In Neil's defence, he and Chris never toured with a band, so there was no need to sing over electric guitars, drums, etc. His voice appeared to be nearly drowned out at times, given that Suede isn't exactly low-keyed and can really pump up the volume.
Always thought the guitar playing on this was spectacular.
Wow! Pet Shop Boys Rock'n'roll!
I really love this version and how open-minded Neil is.
Neil grew up listening to the Beatles - that's the reason. Just listen to his solo tracks, produced before the PSB came out
@@mash198464 What has this to do with the Beatles tho?
@@ChainNonSmoker Suede was very guitar-based like the Beatles
How have I never come across this before and it works!
Wowwww!! Two of my all-time favorites! 🤍 That guitar line when he sings "I'm your puppet" is amazing.
I don't mind that the band is so strong, if you are a true believer, this song will move you every time! Neil is a babe, no matter what!
Neil is the cutest
Richard is such a phenomenal guitar player.

I LOVE YOU NEIL TENNANT I LOVE YOU
I love this style very much too!!! Lovely and great Neil!!
WTF!!! Just came across this. Genius combo.
In this song, Neil did ALL the singing, verses and choruses.
It woulda been nice if Brett would have sang a little on it!
Wooooow
SUEDE 😍😍😍😍 no lo había visto
I Love this song
"Neil Tennant!.....big 'and!"
Maravilloso
uma parceria genial. pik, maneirissimo!!!

I would have loved to have heard Brett's vocals on this song
Two of my faves 😁
Wow,thanks for uploading! I like this version, very different from the original. Both are great.
brett should have done a verse.
suede coulda been as big as the smiths.
ah well.

cute Neil
they were.

Neil is such a baby
where's Brett?
@PaulinaPlazas ME2
No. Never mix
@carlabonesso Thats funny, as I find his voice awful. Like a cheap David bowie impersonator at a cheap pub.
Pet Shop Boys : brilliant songs ruined by Neil's voice.
There's a karaoke for this.

Wtf?!
It's due to bad mixing not due to Neil Tennant's lack of ability. Hear the post-produced version found on Spotify it works even better.
perfecttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
