Your skin looks better in the "before" photo tbh !

I worked with a skin therapist and she said 'lines our like a fold in paper once it's there you can't get rid of it totally, best to stop the lines in the first place with botox/fillers'. So I just use products that hydrate and plump my skin and spf every day, without falling for all the hype and I don't want to use botox or fillers.

Thank you for this video Karen, I was dying to try the serum and waited for your review before I took the plunge. It just goes to show how these big companies reel us in doesn’t it xx

This range has worked very well for me. I tried a cheaper serum (elf) when mine ran out, and I broke out! Thanks for updating this review, appreciate your channel x

Doesn't surprise me. I don't know why anyone buys into No7. It's overpriced hype. Korean skin care does far more for my skin than any highstreet brand has ever done. Great honest review, Karen, and probably the only RUclipsr that's honest these days.

Thanks for this, Karen. Your results are no surprise to me. I tried the whole range. Total waste of money! And my make up slid off it in lumps. Just awful products for me. I keep getting sucked into claims for new skin products offered by companies and I’m done with it now. I’m sticking to what I know works for me in the future. Patience - ended! 😂

I've stopped falling for the hype that these products promise. Nothing is going to remove lines and wrinkles apart from procedures which I can't afford. I think a good skincare routine and using sunscreen is all I can do.

I've been using it for 6 months and my daughter asked me what I was using. She said both she and her husband! Said my skin looked plump. I love the serum but will pass on the day cream as it makes me so shiny so that I have to wear foundation and powder if I go out. I'm 69 and ive used tretinoin for four years and my skin just keeps getting better. I'll keep using the serum.

Hi Karen it's unsurprising there wasn't a massive result tbh. I've never really got on with No 7 skincare and have had reactions to things I did try, so the products were given away to friends. At 51 and fully menopausal nothing topical is going to get rid of lines/aging and I'm ok with that tbh. All I really ask from my skincare is that it doesn't flare my rosacea (or eczema) and makes my skin feel hydrated/moisturised/comfortable. I get results from my retinoid and azelaic acid on skin texture, but lines no not really. I do thinks retinoids have helped a bit with my skin feeling firmer, but lines not so much. I'm not all that wrinkled for my age really, as I've used skincare since I was a teen and as a fitzpatrick one skintone I always practiced sun safe behaviours in Summer here in Scotland - I think both things helped a fair bit with preventing some of the aging I would otherwise have. Some of my friends who were sunworshippers have a lot more visible aging, but I don't think any product will reverse aging as such. I'm ok with the lines - I have an expressive face and they were caused by smiling, laughing and the occasional frown. Texture was more of an issue for me and that has improved with what I'm using, so that's a win I guess. I didn't have high hopes for this product doing anything miraculous, so I'm not surprised you see no difference in the photos. I'm tend not to believe this type of marketing anyway, but I am sorry you feel there is no difference at all after buying it and using it daily. Best wishes.
ps hope you're throat infection is healed up.

No7 has been working for me, I've enjoyed everything I've tried. Just wish they would not stop making them. Had a fab eye one, with a Roller. No warning just gone. XxX Hope Watson is good ❤❤❤🦮🐾🐾

I've been through more product than I care to admit, and the more I try, the more I've realized that there are really only a few cornerstones: hydration, antioxidant, retinol, moisturizer, sunscreen. That's it. If you have a specific concern, like hyperpigmentation, sure try something targeted. But for general aging? I'm just not tossing out my money at every new hysterical release. Nothing is magic. And the more you throw at your face, the more chance you'll irritate your skin and set back the process.

You don't need any antiaging creams/serums; you have beautiful skin.

I saw they have a body serum and wonder if this is any good for anyi aging ? Effective anti aging body products are quite rare. I have been lookjng for a body retinol that is at an effective dose or lerhaps some other proven ingredients that do more than just hydrate.
    Any recommendations? 😊

I think this review is a bit misguiding. They have clinical studies, showing that it works. You did get a lot of sun in the after picture, so obviously this would make any wrinkles more pronounced. Nevertheless your wrinkles look the same, which actually is a sign that it is working! Also, yes sometimes you need to wait 6 months to see full results. By the way, you can use is as an add-on to your retinoids. The scientists behind the product mentioned it in an interview, I believe it was on the honest channel. Personally I like the product very much, it makes my skin plumper and less irritated (don't have any wrinkles yet, working on keeping that state ;))

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick  9 месяцев назад +2

They don't promise that my wrinkles will be the same in 4 weeks, they pretty much promise that they will be gone! So this is NOT proof that it worked, far from it. I'm rarely in the sun - only with a cap on, spf50, and we specifically walk in the trees to avoid it. My background is medical research and what they did is NOT a clinical study and certainly not one that would be considered credible as it's not independent or blind or with enough people. Hope this helps.

Tretinoin, which costs pennies, will actually reduce wrinkles. They won’t just stay the same.
I wouldn’t expect anyone to age drastically in 6 months. I’d call it a flop product
