Example let a side of a cube is a=100
Then surface area A = 4×100×100. (since A =4a^ ^ is 2)
=40,000
According question edge increased by 50%
I.e side a =150
Surface area of a cube is A=4a^. (^ = 2)
A= 4×150×150 =90,000
Increased in area = 90,000 - 40000
= 50,000
Therefore increased % = 50,000÷40,000 ×100
=125%
