Because those are the only schools remotely consistent. And the south Carolina team in the conference usually runs away with it. The worst team in the SEC west could literally win any other conference or division.
You can't use the ranking of the team when you played. Clemson isn't Clemson this year, Arkansas keeps losing and Kentucky hasn't played anyone worth a damn besides Georgia. And this is coming from a Georgia fan. We aren't overhyped but we also aren't unbeatable. I think Bama, OSU and maybe even Oklahoma could give us a run for our money but we also haven't seen our best cause of offensive injuries

For real. I’m impressed Kentucky managed to score at all. Looking forward to the probable ‘Bama v GA SEC championship. Where GA wins.
Scores at halftime this season: 7 - 0 vs Clemson, 35 - 0 against UAB, 26 - 6 against SC, 38 - 0 at Vanderbilt, 24 - 0 against Arkansas, 17 - 3 at Auburn, and 14 - 7 against Kentucky. It seems like we are doing pretty well in the first half.
This is the most Dynamic Georgia I think I've ever seen Special teams are on point, O line is great . They have 3 OBs that can Start for any other team. And on the top of all that their backup QB is just as good as the starting QB, the defense will stop anything in their tracks. But the main Goal is always the SEC Championship and Playoffs

As a BULLDAWG fan I’ve shedded tears of joy with this game. Not only because we dominated on all cylinders but the defense is what made me emotional with this one. The tenacity and sheer will to not let up. The DAWGS are too loaded. This is the year we won’t choke against Bama! Go DAWGS!!! 🐶

Georgia’s offensive line is the real winner in this game. They were opening holes you could drive a super duty through. 2:28 I also think they will sneak Bama late.. turn the tables on them.
I've been around long enough to remember 1980-1984 with Vince Dooley, Hershel Walker and the Junkyard Dawg defense under Erk Russell. Kirby Smart has built a what appears to be the beginning of an heir apparent to the Alabama Crimson Tide. We're all beginning to see some of the skills Kirby Smart picked up from legendary coach Nick Saban. I wouldn't bet against this being the norm level of play at Georgia for a while to come, year in and year out.

@@romanwagner8709 Our QB and top 3 receivers are out. We had 5 receivers and 2 tight ends out against Clemson with a hurt QB. When our offense heals we'll be a little better, but the injury list is like a black hole.

I am not a Georgia fan but I believe the biggest difference in this team over so many teams in the past that have fallen short of expectations is their defense. It is ELITE in my opinion and I think this could be the year they win it all.

UK wasn't ready. They completely took the factor of Chris Rodriguez out of the game. 7 carries. Keep building and doing your thing fellas. This year has brought some eyes to the bluegrass for football, which has never been a thing. They just got met by THE defense probably of the past decade and this one going forward.

The unit I'm most impressed with is the Georgia offense line. They gashed Kentucky in the run game, and Bennett had ALL DAY to throw. Very impressive.

All Kentucky fans knew we weren’t gonna win the game but we scored two TDs so that’s a win lol. Arkansas didn’t score anything while the media hyped up both games. All UGA fans can rub it in our faces all they want bottom line is we’re not a football program, so going to a bowl game and let alone a New Year’s game as it stands is an achievement for us

Agreed. Kentucky's defensive injuries plagued them, (not discounting Georgia injuries). If Kentucky executed a little better, this game could've been 13-23, or even 17-24. You have to respect Kentucky for coming into Athens and putting up a decent game. No team in college football is going to be able to beat the Bulldogs this year. Their defense might be the best defense I've ever seen in college football.

UK had two good drives the entire game.(And Levis actually fumbled on the second one.)
Meanwhile UGA had it's most complete offensive game of the season against that defense.
@@kevinscott59 I am not trying to say UGA is not good. Levis did fumble, but they called it dead. Kentucky had three good drives. Their o-line didn't play to par, and caused two block field goals (PAT, and 30 yarder). Also didn't decide to try and recover a fumble, that was right infront of them. If they execute better that game, it was going to be a 1 or 2 possession game. Also I wouldn't say most complete offensive game. Bennett had a slow first half, but played well the second half. Props to Georgia's run game, they torched Kentucky's d-line.

If anything they could've stopped UGA from scoring another td. *Also refs helped them on the last td, but the first wasn't (hand gifted), ion know why you are hating. I am a curry fan, but I guess some fans are just really ignorant.

@@will-i-am386 this season two of the top 3 teams are in the east, but the west has Arkansas and Ole miss and Bama, so it's pretty even somewhat this season, but it's really leaning in the east favor. The west has been better for the most part last so many years. I mean Georgia is usually the best followed by Florida then Kentucky past few seasons. Except this year it's Kentucky behind Georgia, Tennessee can be slowly building a good team an I mean damn man there are sooo many good teams in the sec in football this year. I'm looking forward to Kentucky eventually getting to Atlanta and to do that they will have to get past GA. So maybe next season after all them beasts leave for the NFL lol
