Pisses me off I haven’t heard this song before. I hate mainstream playing crap instead of stuff like this. Oh well I’m 11 years late but I’m here. I’m 47 years old and dig this kind of music. Wow I’m finding out this song came out over 30 years ago???? Damn shame it’s 2021 and I’m just hearing this now.
Hey Man, I was so lucky to have run into a kid from England in the early 90s or would have missed this as well. If you dig it, look into 'shoegaze' music. Lush, Pale Saints, My Bloody Valentine, Catherine Wheel, Stone Roses, Chapterhouse, Dandy Warhols (especially their early stuff), Brian Jonestown Massacre, etc. Soul crushing good stuff, boss. Cheers.

I wish i could hear it for the 1st time again :)
It's getting on for 30 years since I first heard this tune and it still send shivers up my spine. Ethereal
How they combine guitar and drums into strings is a work of art on its own..❤
Ride, every single time...This song one of the most beautiful ever made, perfect vid. Lord how I've loved this band
RIDE Vapour Trail
First you look so strong
Then you fade away
The sun will blind my eyes
I love you anyway
First you form a smile
I watch you for a while
You are a vapour trail
In a deep blue sky
Tremble with a sigh
Glitter in your eye
You seem to come and go
I never seem to know
And all my time
Is yours as much as mine
We never have enough
Time to show our love
It's "thristy for your smile"
Ride - Nowhere,
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless,
Slowdive - Souvlaki.
Agreed. The best shoegazing albums ever. The Verve's A Storm in Heaven slightly falls short, otherwise it's also a great record.
try eyedazzler from Alison's halo, especially "Leech". just underrated
Robin Bristault
Yes, this song is absolutely brilliant. I like Slowdive - "Blue Skied an' Clear" too. These songs put our mind to another dimension, I love it so much.
French Films - White Orchid
Galaxie 500 - On Fire
My Bloody Valentine - You Made Me Realise, Isn't Anything
JAMC - Psychocandy
Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas (more dream-pop but an incredible and extremely influential album)
to all the readers of "perks' let this song stand alone in it's majesty. do not attach it to another work of art, do not attach it to yourself, but feel it deeply for what it is... a masterpiece,... a vapour trail.

I love perks of being a wallflower but I didn’t know this song was mentioned in the book nor movie
Finished the book in a few hours. All I have to say... wow. Incredible. This is the perfect song for the book in my opinion. And this is comming from someone who never reads. Thank you Charlie. I feel like im a better person just by reading your letters. My life is forever changed. Thank you.
I am on the part where this is one of the songs Charlie has included in the playlist. Love this book till now. I am going through some shit but this book has helped me a lot. I hope my life changes as well.
@@amaykataria8004 it will. the shit will shape you and turn you into an even more amazingly beautiful human.
What is the book?
Which book?
What book was it?
I loved Ride as soon as i heard this track. It took them a long time to release their second album Leave Them all Behind and alot of people slated it at the time. Even i wasnt convinced at my first listen. It is now one of my fave and most listened to LP ever. Forever Shoegazing❤
The music and vocal really give the vibe of nostalgic nuances. It feels like getting back to younger years.. ;-)
One of the bestest, bestest songs ever, when them drums come in, oh my god, the tingles xxxx
Masterpiece.
not just the song but the video; amazing! I feel lucky, what a piece of beauty
I never get sick of this beautiful creation.

Voltando pra dizer o quanto AMOOOO essa música ❤❤❤
My buttons are pressed well with this song. Love RIDE!
Cheers.
Charts stuff is all crap!!! If you're searching for great, real good music (listen here!) in days like these you have to dig very deep, so very very deep.
Now go straight to Leave Them All Behind
この曲めっちゃ好き💖
The music from my youth. Much simpler times, but they were great.
This song is pure beauty💙
this is my favorite song of all time its so beautiful
Been listening to this since I was a teenager...still my favourite outro of any song. Tune.
Watching and hearing this particular tune from the past just gives me goosebumps and mini-flashbacks.
Beautiful track. Echoes of the past. Nostalgia dials set to maximum.
This is my 83rd favorite song of all time!
I just ran across this song through someone's Spotify playlist...never heard it before but I love it! So dreamy...takes me away!
A perfect winter song..
it is for sure one of the most beautiful songs ever.
First you look so strong, then you fade away
The sun will blind my eyes, I'll love you anyway
Thirsty for your smile, I watch you for a while
You are a vapour trail in a deep blue sky
Tremble with a sigh, glitter in your eye
You seem to come and go, I never seem to know
And all my time is yours as much as mine
We never have enough time to show our lov
This song still makes me teary but they are happy tears :-).
Was introduced to this song and it's album almost 20 years ago while peaking on some absolutely fantastic acid with a group of my best friends and bandmates. Quite a beautiful experience I will never forget and these sounds are seared on my brainpan forever. So good.
great, great song! reminds me how good was discovering music especially in the early nineties! ride are still a treasure that not so many had the privilege to taste!
