I hated how they always have us several shots in each arm, then we would go do push-ups. "Push the soreness out Troops!!". Gamaglobin shot meant sit-ups and a run!! 20 yrs of deployments and I think each one was a little bit different. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅
As a medic I went through the Operational Emergency Medical Skills (OEMS) course before deploying to Iraq. The training was about a week long and on the final day we had to keep a pig alive as long as possible.
The thing I remember the most was the damn malaria pills that gave you crazy ass dreams.. and we found out later that the pills we were taking werent even for the kind of mosquitoes that are in the middle east smh
what happens before a Deployment in the Marine Corps, you have a normal day, then you get deployment orders, grab your ruck, get on the boat or plane, and off you go on deployment.
My buddy was in the Navy. He said before he deployed, he would get his gear together, decide what guns he wanted to take and if they wanted explosives on the deployment. He said when they were walking to the airplane the song "Let the bodies hit the floor" would be playing really loud over the PA system regardless of what time it was. He said after the deployment they would get back and open a beer. My buddy was also a Navy Seal and he said they were allowed to do almost anything they wanted to do.
Hi Chris! Can you discuss a little bit about what we can pack or bring to deployment? How’s about the internet connection in Iraq or Afghanistan? Can we make a phone call sometimes? Thank You
Tbh take the bare minimum on hand, whatever is required, along with laptop, wifi puck, those kinda things. But go out and buy a tough box, leave it with someone you trust back home, and have it filled with the good stuff you want and have them mail it to you that way you dont have to carry as much.
I got to Guatemala as non combat for hurricane relief we didn't do weapon qualifications. We did rail training and rowpu's training and was the interpreter for our squad that went.
We done more refresher courses, Calling Arty, Going over pass-words (funny papers??) And learning what the extreme heat would do to our tank sights (We were stationed at Ft. Bliss, we trained at White Sands Missle Range McGregor Range was in the desert,????????) I didnt understand that shit. But right after we were told we were deploying to Saudi Arabia I went to a battle buddies room and he was inventorying his TA-50, I said what the fuck are you doing, He said his father told him "When you dont know what to do, Do what you know"
Chris: you need to update your Will me: a'right will, i need to get a new one Will: oh man, we've been friends for 15 years! Me: sorry Will, i gotta get a new Will, the army says so....
This is a very good scenario of what goes on behind the scene before combat deployment, I hated those booster shots, except when we deployed in Desert Storm in 1990, we had no NTC training, no cultural training and we didn't get a little booklet with common Arabic phrases, when we hit the ground it was all mission focused destroy the Iraq military and we got it done.
I use shukran and afwan thank you and your welcome.with local small businesses. I hated small pox shot. Another thing I hated having to load vehicles at the rail yard
I’m new to my unit haven’t processed yet fully or have my gear and I’m reserves but I was told the unit I’m with is going to deploy soon they just finished their annual training and one of my Sargents said it’s a high chance I won’t go but my 1st Sargent is working on the list of who’s going. I haven’t done a drill no one knows me I haven’t processed and don’t have gear do you think I’m going ?
My girlfriend's son is in the Army Reserves. He says he got deployment orders for June, and it's January. Do they tell you when you're actually going to leave? Appreciate the video. And thanks to all who serve.
I have a question I just got to my unit the day I got here there were doing their SRP for deployment in Kuwait so do you think I will get deployed or do u think they will keep me here for training?
Sometimes they have some required training that you might need to complete first and then they send you to meet up with the unit. So you could have to wait a month or 2 before you get sent or they might not have that requirement and you go when they go. Your leadership should give you a heads up if you are going or not though. PS.... Kuwait deployments are really easy.
NTC frickin sucks, it was worse than being deployed. Went back twice as a trainer, that sucked a lot less, but that first time was so mind numbingly boring and stupid. I’m not an idiot, I know how all of this works… it’s going to be hot, nifty story guy. What the f do you think you’re teaching me? Was a damn test in patience more than anything. Did sneak away and get drunk in Vegas though, so I guess that’s something.
It goes with you. Either in your duffel bags or a conex. Anything that is not going with you will be stored by the Army at no cost to you and then delivered to you when you come back.
Yes as long as the site will ship to APO addresses. I was able to order a guitar online on my first deployment and have it shipped to me but I remember on my second deployment Rockstar energy drinks would not ship to APO addresses.
Well, first of all, if you are going into combat zone, no matter what rank are you, there is still a chance you will get into fire fight. Obviously there is smaller chance that a major will be in that situation then for example private. Officers for example may have extended cultural course to make sure they will not insult local authorities with some gestures that are normal for us but insulting for them. They may have revision of skill they have learned in academy but they didn’t use much in their unit.
Hi Zach! Try not to think of it as "will my MOS get deployed" because that's wrong thinking. Think of it as "will my UNIT get deployed". Teamwork my friend is the army way.
I never deployed but a male buddy of mine highly advises that before you deploy, you have as much sex with your wife as you can. Reason being that he once deployed and was away for 12 months and once he came back, his wife welcomed him back with her newborn baby.....😅
Not for deployments because deployments are temporary so family can not go. If you were stationed overseas for 2 years or more then you are often allowed to have your family go too.
2 NTC rotations before deployment.Remember when I deployed all assembled in a gym. Ended up sitting in gym 8+ hours before a 16 hour flight to Kuwait. @chrishtopherchaos where in Baghdad where you at and when

Yep. You often know ahead of time because you train for it and also need time to make arrangements for family if you are married and a lot more.
@@christopherchaos thanks. His weekends at training are now Fri., Sat. and Sun. He says they do a lot of cleaning AR-15's now.
