Just the thought of two people as incredibly amazing as Pete and Carrie being together (romantically or otherwise) makes me so ridiculously happy! They're both so brilliant and deserve everything wonderful in the world and more! xxx

you have got to be my favourite youtuber in the history of youtube, carrie! you're always so positive and your enthusiasm is inspiring. AND YOU'RE GORGEOUS. you're the best. keep it up!
It really shows how amazing you are that so many people watch your videos just to hear you talk about everyday stuff, you don't rely on sketches or makeup tutorials at all :)
One day holiday from working in the theatre. Goes to see a show. You, Carrie, are doing it right. And I just wanted to tell you my family and I are going on holiday to London next week (from the Netherlands) and we're going to see Les Mis on friday! I know pretty much the whole soundtrack by heart and I can't wait to see you preform my favourite song! :D
I am so envious of you!!!! I haven't seen wicked since I was 7 and that was eight years ago and I want to see it now that I wil actually be able to understand more. it is one of my favourite musicals ever!!!
You've got My Naughty Little Sister books too! I have them all from when I was little; 19 years on I feel like I need to keep them forever...So good! x
Dear Carrie and fellow hopefuls. I'm looking for some advice! Over the last few years I've got really into musical theatre and I've played a few characters (biggest so far being the witch of the west in the wizard of oz) but yesterday I was given the role of Nancy in Oliver, who has been a dream role of mine for so so long! I'm obviously over the moon, but now I'm also terrified! The thing is... I get so shaky when I sing because of nerves and I don't know how to stop it or soothe the shakes a bit so I dont sound too strange singing As long as he needs me and oom pah pah ;) any advice would be great :) xxx
First of all, nerves are a good thing! I don't think anyone performs better than when there are some nerves involved...but when you're on stage, because of the lights, sometimes it can be hard to see (or even remember!) that people are watching you! It will get easier with time - but ultimately, just believe in yourself, you can do it, and good luck!! Everyone has to start somewhere :))
Congrats! First off, nerves are totally normal. Don't try to fight them, it'll only get worse if you're constantly thinking ''don't be nervous, don't be nervous''. What can also help is breathing excercises. My vocal teacher told me about heart coherence. The idea is that you breathe in 4 sec, breathe out 6 sec for about 5 minutes every day. It's good for your heart and stresslevels. If you do this every day and just before you go on stage, it will help you be more calm :) There are also different apps to help you do this, I use paced breathing.
Hey, congratulations on getting the role, well deserved I'd say, and if I can offer anything, I would say enjoy it. To enjoy it fully you must be comfortable with it so do your homework. No winging it. Learn your lines fast and that will allow you (and the director) lots of time to work it through so you can enjoy it so much, it doesn't matter what other people think. Kind of like an inner confidence when you wear a fancy dress - initially it feels weird but it does become more normal ;) that being said some buzz before a performance can be good but I don't want to down play the nerves here, they can be awful! Here your acting comes into play - I had fresh practise of this just on Sunday doing some performance poetry. I just acted my socks off before I got near the stage - going through the motions of someone as calm as a mill pond somehow works backwards for me and helps me shut down scary thoughts and keeps my breathing normal in particular. These are 2 things that can run away and if you can control them, then you're on your way. All the very best fellow Hopeful and if all else fails, keep practising. fake it till you make it. :)R
The exact same thing happens to me, except for when I'm on a stage- I assume the reason is because there's stage lights in my face and I can't see the audience! :P But nonetheless, I feel your pain! Basically the thing that helps- is to sing in front of people more. Before your showtime ask if you can sing at your church, or if you don't attend one, look around for other places! Karaoke nights, singing before sporting events (is that only an American thing? Are we the only ones who sing our anthem before we play a sport???), just getting up in front of a group of your friends and singing a disney song you have memorized. Also, Practice your songs for the show daily! I know you will be AMAZING, so go out there and show them what you've got! And if you're still scared, before you walk on stage just think to yourself that you ARE Nancy, and what her emotions are that are causing her to sing. :D Break a leg! xxx
I just got back to the US from a study abroad trip in London (I actually saw you in Les Mis and it was lovely) so this is just making me miss it even more.
Hope you had a load of fun at Wicked! It's my favourite musical, and it must have been even more enjoyable with a friend of yours in one of the main roles! You're fantastic, Carrie, I kind of want to be you when I grow up (even though you're only a few years older than me)!
I bought like 4 books you recommended really cheaply and so far I'm really glad I did! I'm 19 and I'm going to try to read 19 books in a year - on track so far - you're such an inspiration :)
Definitely agree about the yorkshire pudding being the best part of a roast. I have to make them at work every weekend for sunday lunch and they have to be especially big so they are quite fab really!
I'm going to see you in Les Mis in February and I am so excited I might cry! I've never been in London before, but the old sweetsshops sound so nice :) does anyone know the name or location of one of those shops?
Carrie, you're not the only one who likes pub name facts, I borrowed a book from the library a while ago that listed all the stories and legends behind the names of British pubs. It was actually pretty interesting, as sad as it sounds! :)
You are going to wicked!!!! I love wicked I watched it online and am finally going to see it this year! Please tell me if this years is as amazing as the rest! I love you carrie :)
I mrt you at stage door on Wednesday 18th February and I was so excited because that was the first time I had seen the whole show. I love your hair by the way.
Only just had chance to watch you're video and it's awesome, as always! It's funny that your favourite pub name is the three arrows because I work in a pub called the three arrows, and it's not too far away from where Danny Jones grew up! Just thought you'd like to know that fun fact.
this is a great video! Some really funny moments, especially the pub-chat - a break from a hard physiology essay possibly made it more hilarious ;) If I may, I might 'borrow' the sliding the glasses up the nose when doing the great 'anorak' voice, flippin' funny! Well edited to be sharp, interesting, fun and punchy. Well done - and really lovely to include those folk at stage door! :D R
I came to stage door last Monday and you were so lovely when I was a babbling mess (I had the hogwarts t-shirt on) so thank you for being so lovely when there were like 15 of us out there! You were the best Eponine I've seen and I think I've watched every Eponine there's been in the last ten years!!!
You could get clove drops here in the states..and they are so good..and also I love Cadbury's from England(and the one from the states taste too sweet and not creamy, the one from,England are so creamy and delicious that my mouth is watering)the only place I can get those are from the Indian grocery store,so I am very lucky. I love your videos..btw did you go to the Doctor who theme park? See you soon in one of your videos..sorry for the rant...
Yeah but they manage to get it through because it is shipped from India..we do technicality really well, and technically they can ship it from them..okay we can't do chocolate, but Hershey's taste really good...
Wicked has just come to Brisbane, and there are currenty huge witch feet in the city because of it. It's fabulous. My aunt hasn't seen it, so I'm hoping she'll want to and I can go with her, although I saw it in London for my birthday a couple of years ago :)
I've been subscribed to your channel for a few months now and I just realized that you're on West End! I love musical theatre and I always wish Broadway/West End performers would have a RUclips because I love backstage videos and Broadway.com VLOGS and stuff like that. I think it's so cool that you have a RUclips. Do you have any dream roles?
::raises hand:: I have honey on my bedside table for that VERY REASON. Nothing worse than having to trudge back downstairs to correct your honey-tea ratio after you're already cozy in bed with a book or snuggled cat. =P
I didn't meet you whe I watched Les Mis last December :( I'm out of London now. It's also my first time to watch Les Miserables musical. You're really really good!
My Éponines: Sofia Ragavelas and Carrie Hope Fletcher. Both were excellent, but because I was only 12 when I saw _Les Misérables_ for the first time, I got a lot more from it when I saw it again in September. =)
I'm from Brazil, and I learned English from a British School, so I learned the world "Gosh". I didn't know that it wasn't the whole world that said that until I was on tumblr like 3 year ago. Oh Gosh...
Watching this with a half-cup of cold coffee that I'm only drinking for the caffeine. I absolutely love tea and, when I have the day off from any sort of work, I typically also drink 4 - 6 (more? Probably more...). I'm Canadian, though. Mini-British, I guess.
Carrie, I'm thinking about starting a book collection but for every book I own I wanted to get the audiobook for it too. What do you think about audiobooks? Specifically on audible, my professor said reading a book while listening and looking at the words can better my writing skills. Thanks for your input :) xx

Don't worry Carrie Winnie the Pooh also has honey on his bedside table so you ain't the only one chum 😊
And the award to cutest comment goes to-
Love this comment

Nerves are amazing things just keep practicing and really get to grips with your lines and songs you could sing it in your sleep before you know it!

I'm so happy that I wasn't the only one.

Omgawwsshh, it's so good! You should read it!
Eyeliner on point!
Awesome vid as always
Watching this whilst drinking a cup of tea, I join you in a moment of patriotism! X
I started whistling along to Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life, I think I found it a bit to fun.
CARRIE ARE YOU CRAZY!!! Who only has stuffing at Christmas😳 we have stuffing with every chicken roast and maybe the others too! 😍
I've seen chocolate and plain Digestives here in the states but I've never seen chocolate and caramel! Those sound lovely! x
The girl goes to my school and ive seen alfie perform, he's so good!
M playing Elphaba in my groups wicked bit xD
It's only the first twenty minutes but I love it and it's amazing
I have never heard of cockney rhyming slang before! It's really weird and cool. I love it.
The English-accent-version of the word "chocolate" might be the most glorious sound in the world.
You're wearing the top I gave you!! Argh- hope you love it xxxx
Tea is life, there is no such thing as too much tea!
Watching this with a half-cup of cold coffee that I'm only drinking for the caffeine. I absolutely love tea and, when I have the day off from any sort of work, I typically also drink 4 - 6 (more? Probably more...). I'm Canadian, though. Mini-British, I guess.
Definitely agree with the Yorkshire pudding!! Can't have a roast without!! And I have stuffing all year round so just go for it ;) xxx
Thanks for fixing the link! :-)
I love the drawings you put at the end. Kind off like AmazingPhil's draw Phil naked, just not... naked ^^
Carrie, I'm thinking about starting a book collection but for every book I own I wanted to get the audiobook for it too. What do you think about audiobooks? Specifically on audible, my professor said reading a book while listening and looking at the words can better my writing skills. Thanks for your input :) xx
I went to see wicked about a month ago. it was awesome :)
SO MISTER SIMMS? XD nice video carrie x
You're not alone on your honey obsession. My mom always carries this package of stevia drops (I have no idea if you even have those in Britain), and I already saw the future-me carrying a honey tube everywhere I go.
We have stuffing with every single roast we have, it is definitely the best part.
we always have stuffing with our roast dinners, we just make it in a seperate dish to put in the oven!
Lol about the honey! But that actually is really interesting about pub names I had no idea
We always have stuffing with our roast. It's doesn't have to be in a bird :). Cooks fine in a shallow dish in the oven. Thanks paxo! Haha
