Day after day I come back to this jam track. I absolutely love it. Scarlet is the warmup for me. When Fire starts, that’s when I really take off!

Wow dude I'm impressed!! You answered my request and it sounds so authentic! By far the best dead ( & phish) backing tracks in RUclips. Plus the lesson , tabs, scale maps and chord shapes you really can't beat what you are doing for teaching all of us these great songs!!! BTW did you do Dark Star yet?
Thanks Daniel! I'm putting so much into this channel that sometimes I get down on the slow growth, but hearing those things helps fuel my fire! Also, things have been taking off better the last couple weeks, so hopefully that continues. Definitely going to do a Dark Star. I'm holding off for now though because I'm trying to get better with each video and really want that one to be good. Dark Start 2019!

This is such a good backing track, man. Excellent job. You think you could do one like it for other Dead songs? Your tracks are by far the best Dead backing tracks I’ve come across. Maybe do China Cat/Rider next? Playing In The Band with a nice minor jam section in the middle like the boys used to play it? Those would be awesome.
Edit: I see you’ve already done China/Rider. How about Help on the Way/Slipknot!/Franklin’s Tower? That would be awesome, one of my favorite Dead tunes to play along with.

Jeff! I love your tracks. So grateful. I have to say that I think there is something off in the timing of this version of Scarlet. In the verse it seems to sit on E too long before going to the B. The bridge also seems off to me. Maybe I'm wrong but take a listen if you have a chance.

Jeff- love these backing tracks! Just wondering if I’m hearing the “ain’t often right” bridge section correct, but it sounds like there may be a few extra beats between the changes. Once again love your stuff!

Does anyone else like mixing in major and minor pentatonic over mixolydian/modal stuff on Dead songs?
what is the chord progression starting at 4:09? I should prob be able to to this by ear but im noob. is it e/a/b?
Really just revolving around B. What's referred to as 'modal' jamming. In this cause, B mixolydian.

It’s dope bro but once scarlet gets to the f# section it should be a 2/4 bar each time going into the E where the lick fills are instead of staying 4/4 the whole time

Hello sir I was wondering if you could give some info on B mixolydian I’m kinda new to scales I get all the chords I’m struggling to understand the all the different things on the B mixolydian scale parts Also I’m 16 just trying to learn a lot of the dead live stuff so me finding your channel is very helpful thank you

It’s the same notes as an E major scale. Just emphasize the B note as your root note.
do you use an amp sim? if so which one?
The guitar is going through an amp and then into a Universal Audio Ox Box. Bass directly into it.
