  • A 10-minute long backing track based on Jack Straw by the Grateful Dead, designed for practicing the E Mixolyidan mode. Created by HighCountryGuitar.com using Garage Band. More vids on my RUclips channel, more lessons at the website!

This is a great graphic. So much to see how everything connects. If you are a guitar player and can see how these all fit together then you are 80 percent there

This has been very helpful. A video explaining the CAGED system would be great. I have yet to find a really insightful exposition. Thanks.

Marty Schwartz explains it pretty well. Why do you need it?

Sorry allergies are putting me in a brain fog. Basically it's just a way to think about moveable chords on the neck. Each chord C. A. G. E. D. are all moveable shapes like power chords if you think about them the right way. In fact the A shape is the moveable power chord along the A string. The E shape is the moveable power chord along the E string.
