Northern Arizona Wind & Sun has been supplying and installing solar power systems for over 40 years, since 1979. We can design almost any type of solar electric system. We do water pumping (submersible well pumps, pressure pumps etc.), grid tie solar, off-grid power systems, battery backup, cathodic protection, and many other types of solar electric systems.
Northern Arizona Wind & Sun would love to send you a price quotation on individual components or an estimate for a complete plug and play system. Let us know what you're looking for and we'll send you a quote within 24 hours (Monday - Friday).

The description in the video says "Wiring & Configuring" you should just change it to Configuring you just did about 5 seconds of a pan over the wiring and didn't say a word about it, the rest of the video is configuring. Your video was helpful though, thank you for posting.
That is basically wiring the inverter/charger the bulk of the wiring on with and typically closer to battery area
@@Sea1fly That made no sense whatsoever wish u did video before I buy one
Super helpful while setting up my multiplus inverter! Thank you so much!
Ty so much for this. I got a MP2x120 with error lights on and config a total wreck out of the box. Not happy with victron right now. Cerbo GX is looking like i need to do this to it to.
Just happened to be camping in Flagstaff, my turd Renogy inverter/charger croaked and called up Norther Arizona Wind & Sun; they were just down the road. They got me this very Victron, helped me with a few questions and were available by phone to help with a couple more questions. Cool to see them here as a top hit on RUclips for this controller. Thanks guys.
So glad we were able to help you out!
thank you this was helpful
Thank you for watching!
Getting a couple of these next week and have to configure for first time. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment!
I understand how to make the cable connections into the Multiplus, both the DC positive and negative connections,,and the AC input and output connections. What I am unclear on is how to connect the RV ends of the AC input and output connections. I think the RV side AC output goes to the main 30 amp breaker in the breaker panel, but I haven't a clue as to how to connect the RV side AC input. Any help is appreciated. I will likely have an electrician do the connections but I want to make sure I understand where everything gets connected first. Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.
James, What happened to the wiring portion of the video? Where do the sensors plug in, and how do you wire for 6/3 cabling? We have a 50 amp RV, I'm lost
Michael, give James a call and he'll be glad to help you out: (800) 383-0195
Do I have to use the MK3 interface module, and not just the VE Smart Dongle via bluetooth?
I was excited to find a video that said wiring & configuring for a Victron inverter, but aside from a few sped up seconds with no explanation, there was not much about the wiring. Do you have another video that covers this in more detail?
Is this suitable 30 solar panels and each is 100 watts total 3000w?
Hi Saluuhi - this question is a bit more nuanced and requires more detail, you can reach out to our team via live chat on our website 8-5 M-F MST and they can assist you!
Hey that is not as scary as I thought (Thanks) John Morin in Milo, Maine
Thanks for the comment John!
I am assuming this was for the VEbus system?
I want the Inverter to take Power from Solar in the morning and charge the battery as well
Could you tell me how I can do it?
I want to prioritize solar and not the battery
What about saving your settings in the Inverter before you update? You Do NOT mention that WHY? Cause you LOOSE them when you update the Inverter???
Any way to configure this via cerbo gx and vrm?
Have it hooked in and it is reporting up; but looks like veconfig and usb is still only way to configure?
Hmm weird mine doesn't show the v465 or the update. Just says v430. Aah figured it out, gotta be in the Enabled Settings first. Otherwise the 3 dots just shows the version.
Can you please tell me which generator is compatible with this multi plus.?
Hi there, we recommend using a generator that is at least 1200W, single phase 120VAC output. Remember to adjust the AC input current limit according to the wattage of the generator. Hope that helps!
i got a similar one installed off grid (48vdc), no indicators lid up after 3 weeks, how can i troubleshoot this problem with a multimeter? i suspect the faulty charger/inverter was affected by lightnings...any clue?
At 5:30 in the video, why didn't you change AES type from Modified sine wave to Pure sine wave?
Modified sine wave is supposed to be an AES setting mode that (slightly) reduces power consumption from the Multiplus unit by not constantly outputting a pure sine wave when idle. I got this information from a Victron Energy video in the following link: ruclips.net/video/UPfUn5ki7OM/видео.html
What about the Virtual Switch settings?
Are these settings the same for the MP2? Or is there a video about setting that one here on YT somewhere? Thanks
OK, you don't link or show or describe the victron USB or bluetooth dongles, nor their capabilities.
Can you do this please?
Hi Guys, are you able to tell me what the lowest value you can set for the AC input limit is? Thanks!
Hi Tim, for this specific inverter the lowest value is 7.5A, or 900VA
Would you use the same settings for LiFePO4 batteries?
We recommend you use the battery manufacturer’s recommended setting which may vary from the represented example settings. If you purchased batteries from us, one of our technicians would be happy to provide these values for you. Otherwise you should contact the manufacturer or consult their manual. Thanks for the question!
someone donate that inverter we don't have the password how do we update it and also when we start generator it does not charge the battery it also function via grid power please advise
Hello! You would be best served by contacting the manufacturer of the inverter for assistance. Without knowing the equipment involved, how old it is, or where it was purchased we are limited in what we can advise.
can't you use the bluetooth phone app to do the programming?
When connecting over bluetooth, using the VE.Bus Smart Dongle, only status data, voltages, and other information can be read. And it can be adjusted: switch between On, Off and Charger-only mode, and set a Shore current input limit. It can not be used to change settings and perform firmware updates.
An MK3-USB is required to change settings and perform firmware updates and settings. And, as that requires a USB port, it is not possible to change inverter/charger configuration or perform firmware updates on a Apple iPad or iPhone. Hope that helps!
@@NAZSolarElectric thanks you would think you could do more... but I guess they want to ha be spend more money and buy the Dongle
Why do you leave the setting at 50 hertz when are we using hydro that is 60 hertz ? Not sure but here in Canada it is 60 hertz ?
Hi there, we didn't leave it at 50 hertz. It defaults to 60. Thanks for the question!
Can you hook up a generator to this?
Why does inverter use modified sine wave, rather than pure sine?
By default the inverter is pure sinewave. If you wish to make the inverter consume less standby energy during no load conditions, you can configure the unit to reduce the wave steps under no load conditions (making it modified sinewave) which inherently reduces the inverters stand by consumption. As soon as the load exceeds max threshold it will go back to pure sinewave. It’s completely configurable, one doesn’t need to activate this setting. It’s just a cool option.
with three 100ah 12v battborne lithium wired in parallel with 3000 multiplus 12v - in low "dc input low shutdown" I also changed that to 12.0v and inverter immediately went to low battery warning even though it read 13.3v. oddly, I could not turn the inverter back on until I raised that 12.8v!? just like this video, it goes into low battery warning when the battery reads13.19V what this guy lowered the "dc input low shutdown" to 12v - what gives?
Anyone know rhe default password? Can find it anywhere.
@navsingh2566 definitely call your rep/whoever you bought it from to be completely sure. But often it is set to "0000" at the start.
no crimp ferrels on the wiring
i still do solder tinning and heat shrink; shrug... Old habits
Password can be zzz or was on my new one.
Maybe NAW&S has a newer video but this one is way way too vague. I suppose if the guy had 7 minutes to explain it, what could we expect.
What about the wiring. Shouldn’t your title be how to put a cable in a connector
whats the default password? you know it will take me forever just to call them for password.
ZZZ
Please use a script. I don't feel confident with your explanations.
Change the title. This does not discuss wiring in any detail at all.
