Hubby and I watched the back to school vlog yesterday and I just said this. How is it 5 years already? Hannah was so little, and now she's so grown up. Grief is so odd; life goes so slow, yet so fast at the same time. I only learned of you while she was passing, and I binged so many videos to learn more about her. I know she's so, so proud of you all ❤
Part of me thinks Andrea sent baby kitty your way as a sign. While I'm not religious, I 100% believe in signs. You were there at the right time and now it's safe with you guys ❤

I could not give the kitty up. Thank goodness you saved her. We took in a cat that showed up at our door. She is so precious.

Tom, I’m so sorry and I understand loneliness. I lost the love of my life, the best man God made, when I was 27. Five years later I remarried and he passed away 43 years later. Believe me! There’s much worse things than loneliness or not being married. I felt I knew him so well but he turned 180° about 10 minutes after we left the church. Turned out to be a narcissist and what a miserable marriage I had. No sign of anything but positive goodness while we were courting. Stay strong, trust God, maybe the person you could be very happy with isn’t even available yet. Gods timing is perfect. In the meantime, be thankful for your precious children and God’s blessings, love and trust God completely, you won’t be sorry! I’m thankful you were able to rescue that sweet kitten and bless it with such a good home!

Tom is right hard to find someone when u have a large family. The woman are all done with that, there ready to move on to the next step. Stay within 30 miles with less troubles. You would need a much bigger house.
If you're looking for names... She looks like a Freeda . She is absolutely gorgeous ❤. My mum found a kitten in a rubbish bin many years ago, because of that, I am always on the lookout for dumped/lost kittens. I am glad to say I have not found one so far.
I would name that precious kitten "Angel"
Would you consider putting Hannah in school? She has a personality that is a good match for school life. With her sisters in school, she’ll be a bit lonely.
I hope she goes too. What grade would she be?
I’m single again (my husband passed away 4 years ago) and even though my son is heading off to college next year, I’m absolutely open to dating a man with younger children. God placed it in my heart that it would be wonderful to bless him with siblings. He has autism and may never marry so I don’t want him to be alone when I’m gone. So, they are out there. And worth waiting on. Don’t settle.

U need to feed a kitten many times threw the day and. A good kitten soft food I have 3 kittens at the moment they need for then hard food look for a kitten soft food👍💕

Please take it to the vet. Could have a multitude of infectious things she could pass on to Cornelius or the kids (ringworm, fleas). If lethargic and legs don’t work could have a tick.
You are so sweet! If I were a young woman and not in love with my husband I would chase ya down! Finding good men like you is not easy. So women better wise up and get you before you are taken. I have a wonderful guy. I met him in 1987 when I was 31. He just got out of the military and he was 24! 😯 I already had 2 kids from a bad first marriage. I always knew I would marry again though. This second marriage has been what I hoped for and you will...find the right lady. That kitty is too cute for words. Bless your heart for finding her! Big hugs and my prayers go out for that special woman for you. 😀🙂

I remember when my grandma died. I got a call from parents saying the hospital had just called and Mona was not good and probably about to die. I raced to the hospital to try and see her before she died but I didn't make it in time. The nurses told me that they often wait for a quiet moment when no one is around to die. I wonder if that's what happened with Andrea.
Oh Tom! I love watching the old videos of you and Andrea date night and shopping they are great. Where do the boys get their silliness you and Andrea . you have done an amazing job with the children ,your time will come God just has other plans for you.
I have a “ ginger cat”( orange/white)Yes my cat comes when I call him.He’s very smart. I ask him if he wants a snack, he makes a noise,follows me to kitchen then runs & jumps on couch to wait for his snack.😂Temptation “ licky sticks” .Your little kitten is adorable!!

You mentioned you found the kitty in a shadow, I think you should name the kitty Shadow.
Maybe this kitty will connect you to someone that will be the next love of your life.

I love the idea of calling the kitten, Kitty. Or (to honour Andrea's grandma and your Mom) how about Kitty-Willow. (Kitty-Fern doesn't quite work, but Grandma Fern was as strong as a Willow in my eyes, which is why I chose that name! I realised it didn't make sense otherwise!)
The feminine version of Quintus (5th) is Quintina, which is a bit of a mouthful, unless you shorten it to Tina?
If the Vet recommends milk, get goat milk - much easier to digest and closer to cat milk. I suspect they will recommend waiting at least another 8 weeks for her to be neutered - they can do it once they reach a particular weight, but she's way too little. Also, as I have rescued a mother and her kitten recently, make sure she gets quality food, to avoid allergies, bone and tooth malformation and digestive issues. My two are both suffering because of calcium deficiency - she was not even 6 months old when she had him - and the diet and care they need isn't cheap. Essential, but not cheap. They are doing really well now.
Lastly, God has a plan for you, Tom. I know it's sounding like a broken record, with everyone telling you that, but I do feel that He still has a work of healing to complete in you, so that you are whole when you meet and take a new bride. Forgive me for asking, but have you dealt with any anger at Andrea's death? Forgiven (okay, it sounds odd, but that's how the human mind can work) her for leaving you, and yourself for not being able to 'fix' her? I ask that because (I married a widower) my husband had to face those issues and ask God to help him reach that point, even though he thought he didn't feel that way. Just throwing it out to think about. Ignore me! xxx

I remember that Andrea once mentoned that she like to snuggle to you and breathe in the smell of "Tommyness" (I think she said it when she was talking about making a beard oil). The story of the kitty wanting to snuggle into your arm after smelling you reminded me of that

I remember being woke up at 1 am from a phone call from my dad saying my mom passed away. I knew it was coming and thought I could handle it, but it still made me almost pass out. Death is so hard whether you’re expecting it or not. 😱😓😭💔

I lost my husband 8 yes ago. It feels like ut was yesterday. It stinks big time!! I still feel like he is going to walk thru the door. it's very hard not having him around.
The kitty is probably in shock from the terror it went thru. Poor thing is so cute😸😻
Most likely somebody dumped it on the road side. It also probably had heat exhaustion. Hope all of it works out at the vet!!😸😻

Love your sweet kitty. Here are some name suggestions for you. You said her meow was echoing, so what about the name Echo.
Or maybe it's a little gift from Andrea. ( After all she was wanting a cat)..so maybe "Angel" and last suggestion is "Haven" since you are now her safe haven. A suggestion for some cat food is the Sheba break aways. My vet recommended them for Gracie when she was little. The best ones for young cats are the ones with Gravy, not Pate'.
