Holy moley, the finish on that cu24 is STUPID. The contrast within the flame is just 🤤 To me, the big comparison with these will be vs. the HFS and vintage bass. Decades later, that set is still my benchmark. If a pickup set can stand up to those in clarity and midrange substance, that’s when my ears start to perk up. So far, they sound great
@@fenderdude0bob109 I actually somewhat agree with this. I’ve been so spoiled by my HFS, vintage bass set, the 85/15s just really cut it for harder rock in the same way. They don’t have that same, thick, vocal midrange at higher gain settings. They become a bit “single coilish” as the gain piles up…
Sounds amazing!
Damn...I love these guutars
It's like an 85/15 and a Gretsch Filtertron had a baby.

Sounds like old Opeth!
Exactly! That dissonance chords
How do these compare to the 85/15 pickups?
There's a video of Ish guitars comparing the two. Or you can just compare between the demos on the PRS channel
Hopefully better. I absolutely detest the 85/15 for hard rock.
@@fenderdude0bob109 Agreed!
@fenderdude0bob109 You're playing SE 85/15s aren't you?

How do these compare to the DGT pickups in terms of tone profile/sonic character?
