Great game and well done women! Without the long term investment in the womens game here in England they still managed to come out winners. Yes the game is played at a slower pace because physically we know they are not as explosive as the mens game but thinking that takes away in any way shape or form the enjoyment or indeed the skill is just moronic. Any mens England player would have loved to have played that Walsh pass or the Toone finish, absolute quality football skill in a Euro final under immense pressure in a stadium and crowd none of them would have experienced before. Incredible performance.

Say what you want about the quality of the football played throughout the tournament but you simply cannot deny that the attitude the England women showed absolutely embarrasses that of the England mens, not to mention how pathetic it makes Southgate look with his cowardly approach to every game.

Too much ego on the men’s side. What made the Lionesses team work is everyone accepting their role. Can’t imagine someone on the men’s side being okay with just subbing if they score goals - which is what Alessia and Ella have done.

When did you hear that women were saying that they are as good as the men? Frankly only whingy men appear to be making the comment.
Firstly women aren't looking to play or replace men's football.
Secondly boys, men are naturally more physical, faster etc so it's a non starter and have been playing the game professionally for over a 100 years.
Thirdly, the women's game is slowly maturing at a professional level it is literally in its infancy so the standard will improve, the athleticism will increase and the girls will make it their own, they are in parallel to the men not in competition with the men.
I re-watched the final on 2 x speed and it was surprisingly watchable... for a Sunday League match.
