    A good transcription of a great solo. Two comments : First, the tune is Darber The Redd Foxx. Second, the great J. Moody played an even further better solo in this tune in the album Dizzy Gillespie and Friends: Concert of the Century

      Thank you Jose for that additional information! It was from a live concert here on RUclips, and Dizzy really just introduced it as 'Mmm Mmm", and also the youtube search indicated that it was a tune from James Moody. But thanks for correcting, I'll update the title.

    does anyone know if you have to tongue every note in the double time lines for flute?

    • @to6341
      @to6341 4 года назад

      to me it sounds like double tongue also triple tongue on the triplets..

    • @alanhaynes418
      @alanhaynes418 Год назад +1

      You really need to articulate each individual note at these speeds - sluring just doesn't cut it.
      So yes - double and triple tongue it is.

      @SharpElevenMusic  4 месяца назад +1

      www.sharpelevenmusic.com/transcriptions under the "saxophone" section, as James Moody has also saxophone solos and I didn't create a complete new section for just 1 flute solo 😀. Look at alphabettical order on M from Moody.

      Hi man, yes, the communication is not clear here. I have to say that after more than 250 transcriptions we published, a change in how we can share the transcriptions gives quite a challenge to change all manually.
      But to be clear, this is a bootleg, so in the end it is only available on our Patreon, which will be much cheaper than they would price it on Music Notes, and you get acces a ton of our older transcriptions too.
      You can join us on our Patreon on the 3$ tier for this transcription: www.patreon.com/sharpeleventranscriptions
      and unsubcribe at any moment. So if you only want to get this one (and a few others on the feed), you could potentially just download what you want and unsubscribe. You'll have to scroll deep into the feed to around the date this video was published. If you can't find it for any reason, just send us a message and we get it manually to you by mail.
      Cheers
      Jorre
