    Just a tip for when you are changing from the gas burner to the wood baffle. You do NOT need to remove the screws. Just loosen them enough to be able to slide the burner or baffle up so that the big holes at the bottom of the slot line up with the screws. It's then just a matter of pulling off the burner or baffle with the screws still attached to the oven. To put on the other cover just do this in reverse... line up the round hole with the screws - push the cover in place and slide the screws down the slot until it is being held in place. Then re-tighten the screws and everything is back in place without removing the screws... Loved your stretching and cooking with the Karu. I have yet to try mine with wood/charcoal but I am keen to do so. Thanks for the video!

    You don't need to unscrew totally to change gas/wood. The pieces are made to be placed / removed with the screw still attached to the body ;)

    Just a tip keep the airflow shutter closed.
    When open the air escapes to quickly and takes forever to heat up to the temp you want. Also put 2 fire lighters in first then wood. Don't over pack the tray otherwise it may put the fire out.

    hii. nice video. just a question. if we are doing continous baking of pizzas then how do we maintain the fire. the grill will get choked with wood

    • @kneadingwithfranco
      @kneadingwithfranco  3 года назад

      The best way to maintain the fire is by looking at it. After each pizza take a look at the fire and see if the flame is still powerful enough, if not , take a look at the temperature in the centre of the oven. If it goes below 420, then add immediately another kindling, if it’s ok then I would suggest to add the kindling straight after you launch another pizza in the oven. Because when the pizza is inside it needs a full flame to cook properly 🙂 I hope that makes sense ?

    You don't need to take the screws all the way to remove the gas unit. Just loosen them, then lift the gas unit up and out. Reverse order for the shield to use for the wood.
