I got two of these from you guys a few years ago. I really like the resonance it provides in combination with the really thin walled flutes of yesteryear.
Now, I just need a set of JS gold pads. 😅
Double-blind test please!
The kindest flute shop channel. I am curious about how this actually works and long vs short term benefits. Does it come with a rod?
Thank you! It’s a much weightier option than cork, and it’s believed that this is what has the biggest impact. It comes with a tool to install the stopper and to measure that it’s in the correct place.
@@justflutes thanks for the response.
Interesting
Glad you enjoyed! We’ve added videos for the Seidman stopper and Celestine Rexonator too, which you might enjoy!
Good presentation and demonstration. How does that alternate stopper affect tuning? As it doesn’t extend as far into the tube as a cork assembly, there must be some tuning consequences, yes?
The end of the stopper is in the same place as the cork plate would be - the extra space is created at the top of the headjoint (between the top of the cork or stopper and the crown), which has no impact on tuning - it’s actually thought that this larger chamber of air increases the resonance of the flute.
