Really fun play through! My youngest also likes to hold onto his races until they’re spread thin but maximizing points. I’m also eager to turnover and try new races - cult of the new. Sometimes it really pays off to stick with one if it’s a powerful combo!
Thanks Mike! Fun playthrough to watch. You sure bagged a nice combo with those Wizards. A good investment of your coins! The solo version looks fun for an occasional game but not sure I'd get full value that way, as you said. Got the Steam version of Small World. Played it once and wasn't that fussed by it tbh. Maybe I ought check it out again.
You can also use the AI rules to play 2-player as a 3-player game (basically you take turns having the AI on your "team'). It's a nice way to fill out low player count games. But yes, if you'll never play competitive, I'd stay away ;)
I think you forgot to count your crystals when counting your VPs with the sorcerers. Not that it would have effected your playthrough, but something to note.
Crystals? They are only worth bonus points for the Wizards. Sorcerers have the power to turn a single unit into a sorcerer. They don't get a bonus for crystals, unless I'm misunderstanding what you meant!

New race combos are more fun, even if you lose 😅

Great fun little playthrough!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The main limitation I see is the AI skipping out on the faction bonuses, which is the main advantage of Small World over similar games.
Oh for sure. This is just a quick bit of fun! Competitive is still where the variety is at.
Hey! Nice video. Btw the links are dead :(
So I found the new page for the variant… but there’s no download option on the page for the rules. What the heck!?
@@OneStopCoopShop i dunno 🥲

@@OneStopCoopShop oh my bad! I totally thought they both counted the crystals. I have no idea why.
@@rambler209 Well, they are both quite wizardly ;)
