Guys.. it's called "8 Drum intros every drummer should know", *not*, "The most important 8 drum intros every drummer should know" or "The only 8 drum intros every drummer needs to know". If it's a missing your favorite intro, get over it!

Terry, I love what you're doing here. Great playing but more importantly, you're very funny in a very genuine way (meaning - you don't seem to be trying to be funny, just being yourself). Keep doing what you're doing. You are providing a great service to all drummers and some much needed "lightness" in an often much too serious world.
Thanks again! You made my day!

There was a famous ad in Modern Drummer back about 15 years ago where Scott Travis claimed that he could play Painkiller with one foot so long as he was utilizing the Iron Cobra pedal. This of course was a joke... but then again I wouldn't be surprised if Jojo Mayer said he could do it. There are videos of him playing quad strokes with one foot that might be fast enough. This guy in the video, maybe not. But I never said he couldn't use his other foot, just swap pedals out.

Great stuff, I love your vids, particularly I enjoyed your knowledge/expertise on Paiste.
Something I recently became aware of regarding "Murder By Numbers" --- the bass drum is playing on the "back beats" (if you count in 6, the BD is on 4, the side stick is 2, 4, 6 and the hihat on 123456 ) and the first side stick is on the second 8th note. I saw a transcription of it recently and it blew my mind!

I love this guy !! Like that you touch everything to stop ringing even when they were not being played ! I also like your honesty and I like the way you play apart from the fact you have only one volume ....LOUD.

Some people don't mind unpolished and unedited. It's more real cause realistically everybody makes mistakes. At least he isn't afraid to show the good with the bad.

Educational and hilarious, as usual! Give yourself some credit, man: You got the measure count correct the first time on Walk This Way. The intro is five full bars of the pattern you played, which is exactly what you did. It is toward the end of the sixth bar where they break as a lead-in to the vocals. Keep up the fun!

Looking for a shoe and comes back with a boot.I couldn't operate a bass pedal with that on,it would constrict my ankle movement,I either play bare footed or I use my very flexible black shoes if I'm playing at a venue, but that's just me..as they say "whatever floats your boat",BUT,great video and keep it up.

Your energy level is inspiring. Thanks for doing what you do and sharing it with us. Ability to concentrate within and across intros is really challenging. Fills can be tough but intros are essential. I always hesitate to do them when our leader looks to me. I have decent, OK very good timing and sense of that for a song, but it is still a challenge. Thanks man, Ed

Haha, I watched it right to the end. I like the uncut version hahaha. If you lived in New Zealand we'd be buddies, I love Bonham, but I think either Pictures of home or fireball deserves a spot on your list :-) I would probably put Regatta De Blanc in over Murder by Numbers as well what do you think?
La Grange? Who do you love (that Bo Diddly beat - grooves might be a good topic for you to cover next, if you do be good to see the Bernard Purdie shuffle, fool in the rain, no quarter?
    Thanks for sharing. Really interesting
