Only Togashi could come back from a long hiatus and drop a chapter with just dialog and its an absolute banger. The 2 reveals alone open up so many more possibilities that its crazy.
Great discussion guys, And my boy babimyna looking more and more important So the 13 th Prince Marayam being the son of beyond theory is in one of the chapter 12th prince Momoze says that Marayam is not fit to be king's vessel ... So she might be judging him for not being the biological son of the king And how her mother don't care about her... Marayam was always the main focus And Momoze got fatigue after using so little of her Nen beast but Marayam's nen is keep growing and he is just a child and no sign of fatigue... This would be explained if he is Beyond's child and has a lot of aura
Woble She makes a lot of sense story wise based on focus and context clues that makes her potentially a big player. First off, Woble has the most mystery to her abilities and being held off for something end game. If Beyond started his plot to have his children infiltrate the royal guard with every new prince then it makes sense that he would do that before even having a child. He essentially prepped for the succession war 30 years back by placing his children soldiers in the guards of every prince with nen curses. My theory would be that Beyond is the one who released the chimera ant to the NGL when he was ready for the expedition and by extension the succession war. He was the one who forced the V5’s hand for the expedition. He was the one in Kakin persuading the King to go along with the expedition. I wouldn’t put it pass Beyond to bet that the Chimera ants would push his father to use the little rose in his chest. Woble also has ties to Beyond via Bill who wants to escape with Beyond’s help. I doubt it’s coincidence that Bill is paired with Woble. I feel Beyond likely set that up so when the time is right Bill will age up Woble and reveal that she knows nen, spiritual beast is now unknown late game, and can fight back. This may be silly, but Woble is present when the guards are showing their divination. Maybe she’s learning in the process? She is the biggest unknown, so she has the biggest room to speculate in. Last thing with Woble, I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out Beyond did something to make Oito forget or perceive Beyond as the King. I feel a man who would have children just to curse them in order to have a child as king wouldn’t have the morals to stick with consensual sex if it led to his goals. Marayam I believe that he most likely may be Beyond’s child. Firstly, his mother since the beginning prioritized him. She says her son’s safety is more important to the point she stripped her daughter of her guards. She seemed kinda sad at the results, which seems like she felt strongly about his survival over anything. It feels like there’s a reason for that and not just that she’s an asshole. Her protecting Marayam because she knows that he’s Beyond’s son with his backing to become king makes sense. Secondly, Marayam being Beyond’s son brings up an interesting wrinkle to Longhi’s contract that I believe Togashi would setup. Marayam’s room currently can’t be entered, so even if Kurapika finds out he or Longhi can’t enter. Now that can lead to Kurapika asking Biscuit and Hanzo to help investigate, but that can lead to them being attacked by Marayam’s spiritual beast. It can also lead to Babimiya stepping in and potentially revealing he’s also one of Beyond’s children soldiers. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he had a blank face after seeing Longhi and Kurapika have an extended conversation especially if he knows that Longhi is his sibling.
Who would have thought that Prince Camilla selecting the Have Nots as a personal army instead of a regular Royal army would lead to Longhi discovering her true origin and purpose as a living sacrifice? I love how Togashi starting to link up these semmingly different events little by little and how it affects the main plotline. This chapter drops a reveal that I would have never guess in my lifetime lol. Nice review.
I BET MY LIFE, IT'S PRINCE MORENA (BEYOND'S CHILD PRINCE). I mean Togashi coloured Prince Monera's hair black and she used her cover twice in different chapters, coincidence? I THINK NOT!!! It has to be her.. 💀
i would love that , but morena is not considered a prince unfortunately .. due to being an illegitimate daughter. so if beyond actually has a son/daughter it will be one of the 14 we know
Waiting so long for new content is rough, but it has been so worth it. When someone as talented as Togashi has extra time to think about the story and isn't required to meet weekly deadlines, he simply can't miss. The GOAT is back, and it's glorious. Also, I just wanted to say I've really enjoyed all of your videos. I've been waiting for the chapter discussions, and it's so great to have incredible new chapters and people talking about them in long-form discussions. this is a very minor comment, but to respond to the thought that Nobunaga killing Kurapika wouldn't be very thematically relevent; I largely disagree, because Kurapika was the one who killed Uvo, with Uvo being one of the Spiders who heartlessly slaugtered the Kurta in the first place! love the videos btw!
I love the idea of Wobble being the prince Beyond is related to. Eventually putting Kurapika in between Wobble and Beyond. What if it's not the case that Beyond is the father of a prince, but instead is Queen Oito's father. Longhi did say it's inconceivable that he would go through all the effort for a prince not related to him. Being Oito's father would fall in line with Longhi's statement and still give us the tension we want for Kurapika.
To piggyback off my initial comment (missed the deadline). The whole point of Kurapika teaching nen to each princes’ guards was to force a stalemate. Now, knowing there’s 10+ people who have the ability to kill a prince, Kurapika has to establish another stalemate by having these children identified and restrained. It’s funny because this chapter ended with the last guard entering to the nen test lol.
I think that buddy still knows who the Silent Majority user is. I think he was questioning why the meeting took so long to figure out if she was the user or not. Basically he’s wondering if Kurapika knows it’s not her
Theory on beyond’s child: Beyond’s child being assumed to be a prince is a red herring. The true child of beyond is oito, who is most definitely younger than 30. This means his true goal is to foster woble, who is his grandchild. This explains silent majority: it’s one of beyond’s team, maybe even the doll girl, who is protecting woble from any assassins. This could also explain why beyond put so many of his underlings with woble, as well as the strange nen that kurapika felt from woble as well. Since beyond knows about the succession war, my guess is he knows about nen beasts and the powers they hold. Given that woble is still a child, perhaps her nen beast type could help him with whatever he plans to do on the DC
Seems like Silent Majority is working hand in hand with beyond’s curse since it is targeting the guards only. And maybe there is a child that beyond did talk too who does not mind enacting his role as a curse, the opposite of what Longhi says.
First thing I thought about when they brought up baby's with nen and how they develope zetsu made me think that gon had his nen activated maby but then he would of had to reopen.
On the topic of Longhi not being the Silent Majority user. Furykov is the only one with suspicion of her. I think it's easy to assume that Furykov is wrong about her, and he's overthinking the situation. But, we also don't know the limits of his nen perception. He might be seeing something in Longhi no one else can. I saw the theory somewhere that Furykov is actually right about Longhi being the assassin. In the chapter, she denies being the Silent Majority user BEFORE Kurapika pulls out the Dowsing Chain. We never learn if that part was a lie. She shows off her contract ability to prove her ability isn't SM, but she's talking to someone with a literal five abilities that are only loosely connected to one another, so it doesn't necessarily prove her innocence. Also, if memory serves, she had no way of knowing Kurapika had a lie detecting ability until AFTER he gave her a warning in this room. So she would have been comfortable with lying freely before he showed it off. There are plenty of holes in the theory but some interesting food for thought for sure. Curious to know if you guys buy into any part of it. She could be connected to the killer in some way, or a red herring. Keep up the great episodes!
Honestly no one really looks like the king his children at first it didnt really matter because there was no reason to think otherwise, so i was thinking what if the king knows no one is his kid so thats why he has all those coffins because he just want to use them and since they are not his he kills them.
