flounder down here in texas are hard to catch, they dont bite they kinda just swim with it. and when you set the hook it just comes right out of there mouth.
Just like your old long lost first love girlfriend, you don't know what you got till it's gone! Back in the 60's, I used to think flat fishing was the most boring thing. Now, I would sell my boat to find a good falttie spot! Gov regs are limited to 2 fish per angler in CT. But flats are making a comeback, quietly. We are getting flats here in LI Sound by accident, fishing for Porgies and Sea Bass. Got to get rid of those Cormorants!
It is great to see winter flounder fishing reviving.
Thanks Kip! God Bless and Tight Lines!
Now I know not to put my measuring marks on the SIDE of my boat, haha. Great video.
Did excellent up in Quincy this week, one of the last holdouts of those things

what time of the year did you go?
BTW, 'Winter flounder' refers to the species, not the season...
Terrible place for your ruler!!! Get that thing in the boat!! Great job with the fish though.... I haven't caught one in over 20-years also!!
It might be winter to you but here in Scotland we'd be glad of your weather in summer. Good fishing though.
I know this is seven years late but the name of the species is Winter Flounder. They aren’t talking about the season.
Get it back in the water
