Those trails are money! That video is a perfect example why I don't like riding with dogs. They want to run ahead of you, but then once they're ahead they'll slow down unexpectedly. I definitely don't need my attention split between focusing on the trail and focusing on what the dog is going to do next.
Yup trails were great! Yeah it’s a different focus when the dog is there. She’s in training and learning to go behind - in front definitely doesn’t work! She’s coming on tho and nice to be able to take her out at the quiet spots and get some good exercise. We just accept the riding won’t be as good as we’ll be keeping an eye on her!
Yeah really good spot! I found the climb ok until that top push which was a killer! That said tam hooked me up on his ebike for a lap 😅. Keen to checkout glen Devon sometime. Have been walking there before and saw a few of the trails but yet to try! Will keep that one under the radar when we do as believe some trails there are on the quiet 😁
Geez the top bit was like the Battle of the Somme or something. Great vid though. The trails through the trees looked like good fun and Roxy seems to be coming on nicely as a trail dog 🐕. Do you know if they've ever actually held an enduro event at Dollar?
Cheers yeah I believe there was a lot of felling. Really fun place to ride and clearly well maintained trails. She is, learning quickly which is good for us and our safety 😂. I think Steel Flares has answered the enduro event - none I know of 👍
Dollar is more natural and raw in places I find but I’d say if you can ride one you can ride the other. What we rode here wasn’t too steep but there are steep ones out there too!
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB nice thanks for the reply. Had a great afternoon there on Friday. Top of the hill was wet as. Got our wires crossed and started on the Heritage Trail LOL certainly got the adrenalin going. Thanks to your heads up on the wee gap managed to clear that first run. The entire Hillfoot Hill trail from the tree line down was running so sweet. Thanks again.
And that’s fair for busy riding spots or official places where we don’t take her for that reason. She goes to quiet shared use forests on quiet days. You’ll notice there’s no other riders around apart from the odd dog walker 👍

Stunning trails! And I loved watching Roxy having a blast, she seems to looove it! Looking forward to seeing more of you three! :)
Yeah trails were great. Ah awesome, she really does! Always gets so excited when she sees the bike!
Nice video guys, that place looks good fab fun 🤘. Although looks like those narrow ruts need a bit of concentration!
Thanks! Yeah the trails were good and definitely kept us on our toes 😅
I remember this place! such a shame they felled the trees, but glad they managed to rebuild the trails. for sure these trails need respect! 👍👍
seriously tough customer these ones!
Yeah absolutely! This was our first visit so never rode it before the felling but saw many vids and it looks a different place!
Dollar is awesome, climb is savage. Living near Stirling Dollar is really handy for an evening ride(in the summer) 😊
When we were there a few months ago the top had been felled but not cleared. You need to try the othe side of the hill at Glen Devon.

As gnarly as always. Dollar scares me!
Yeah there was a lot more to it than we realised! Pretty sketchy in bits but in a good way 😁
Great vid guys n well done Laura x. Looked gd guy's 👏👏🤪🤗
Thanks! It was a blast 👊🙌

There's never been an enduro event here, no.

How does this compare to the Golfie in terms of tech and steepness?

Been riding there for about 7 years, “riding this place blind is pretty tricky” it’s still just as tricky when you know the trails 🤣🤣
Haha I believe that 😆 they were fairly techy! Lots to catch you out especially in the wet!
Weather permitting gonna go up during the holidays, where do you recommend parking?trails seem quite far apart on trailforks
Laura, what is rattling on your bike !?
possibly chin of helmet hitting the chest mounted gopro
Ah it’s so irritating isn’t it! It’s actually something silly that I’ve sorted since filming this - just the water bottle tapping the frame!
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB the zipper on my gillet was hitting the gopro one day, who knew it could make such a noise
A potential location to ride, thanks for sharing guys. Roxy is fairly coming on 👊
Yup it’s a good one. Very different style to the valley etc. She really is, great to have her with us in the quieter spots!
How did you break your neck? I ran over my own dog 😂
😂 sounds about right haha it has been a pretty sketchy learning curve with her 😆
Why not the sensible for all other riders on trials and leave the dog at home.
