I dont normally leave comments on videos. But as an ex-tech reviewer, I must say, your content is highly researched and very thoughtful, easily better than 99% of the other iPhone 13 vs pro videos that I saw. You guys are special. Keep the good work up.
This was the exact question I was considering, and you answered it perfectly. The side-by-side comparisons were very useful, and since I couldn't really see much of a difference between most of them (aside from the telephoto shot), I guess the regular 13 is for me. Excellent review!
@Torri Knouff well if battery is your priority than getting the 13 pro Max will do justice. There is not much battery difference between 13 & 13 pro so getting the 13 pro Max will be a better deal.
I had to do a similar choice between 13 and 13 Pro, ended up taking the 13 because 1) I come from a 7 that I kept 5 years and the upgrade is in any case massive 2) the 13 Pro was noticeably heavier in my hand! To me a phone must remain a very portable device that you don’t notice in your pocket. If I want a heavy device that makes good photo I can get a dedicated camera. 3) I’m sure once you get used to 120Hz you can’t go back to 60, but in store the difference wasn’t so noticeable to me. 4) heavier phones are more likely to get damaged when they fall on the ground. My 7 fell like 20 times (with rhinoshield) never had a single serious issue. 5) finally, the price difference does not seem much on paper but is actually 30% more which to me is a lot, I prefer to invest it elsewhere (MagSafe charger to start, a good protective case, …)
@@scythe8609 that was my debate too, but I went for the iPhone 13 because of the battery, and I don’t regret it. But if you like small phone to use with one hand and fit on your pocket super great, then you should go for the mini but overall both fit great on your pocket.
This is the best video out there that will actually help you make a decision instead of leaving you more confused after watching a comparison video. Thank you.
Love the conclusion! Upgraded from Samsung s7 to iphone 13 in starlight. I love the extra features on the 13 pro, but the regular 13 is more than enough for my daily usage especially when I have a windows pc (dual moni 165hz). I don’t play games on mobile but I do read a lot so my screen on time reaches 9hrs lol. Even the 13 was kinda heavy for me, imagine getting a 13 pro and holding it all day. Would upgrade again in 4-5 yrs, either a samsung or an iphone ;) The review made me realize that you should buy a phone according to your needs and well, wants(if you have extra$) but really.. needs.
Thank you! 'Needs' is always the sensible way to buy a phone. But there's also nothing wrong with buying something every now and then just because you 'want' it! I just want to give people all the information so they can make an informed decision 👌🏼

An excellent review. Explaining why upgrading a product isn't always necessary to the average consumer is why Inside Tech is one of the best reviewers on Tech. Far too many influencers on RUclips, receive a kickback from the reviewed product to promote the upgraded product. Do it right or don't do it at all.
That's awesome to hear, thanks a lot! I'll never promote a product for the sake of it, i'd rather lose out on a collaboration than do that. The point in making these videos is to help people out, so I appreciate the feedback!
An excellent comparison video with sensible, level headed reasoning. On many comparison videos I often feel more unsure after watching but this video really gave me a definite answer.
This is the best video I’ve seen thus far that juxtaposes these two devices effectively. Well done. I personally went with the blue iPhone 13. I didn’t need the extra features of the pro, and the 13 is a fantastic upgrade from my iPhone X.
Hi Mitchell. I did the same thing you did last week. Going from I phone X to regular 13 in starlight blue! Very happy so far- noticing a big difference in battery life and camera is great too!
I helped my mom choose between the 13 and the pro. She held my 13 promax and needed a easier phone to hold. the price on the 13 was great but she only liked the Sierra blue and overall luxurious aesthetic of the pro. its also great since its only $13 a month with a trade in.
Your iphone comparison videos are so good. It felt like i was watching an "iPhone Buying Guide" made by Apple themselves, like seriously it's that good.
I’ve had the 11 for a couple years now. I’m eligible for an upgrade and I’ve been heavily thinking about getting the 13 pro. I think it’s gonna be huge upgrade for me, don’t get me wrong the 11 is still a great phone but I’ve realized after a while the speakers start to go out on the 11 & the phone is super slippery because of the curve design and doesn’t hold as much weight like the newer aluminum design
my problem with the 11 series is the display is lcd and the black look washed out, when in a case looks bulkier... 13 pro is amazing and the 120hz is fire
The speakers on the 11 are fine. And the curves are actually ergonomic to the hand rather than the straight edge on the 13. But other than that, everything else go to 13
I just upgraded to the IPhone 13 pro max from my IPhone XR, the difference is actually incredible. I noticed the 120 hz refresh rate instantly, the main reason I chose this model was for the battery life which is actually kinda crazy, I can use the phone for 2 whole days before the phone runs out of battery. Overall I’m so happy with what I chose.
I had been in this dilemma since last few days as I was looking to move up from iPhone 11 and since this is like my every day work phone I think the 13 would be fine for me
Thanks for your in depth review! This definitely helped me decide whether or not I wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 13 Pro or not. My only thing is the camera, the sleek style , refresh rate, storage, battery and the few extra features that the 13 doesn’t have but all in all there’s not much of a difference so I might stay with my 13😭 the only thing tempting me is the sleek design, camera, video quality and battery. The only thing not tempting me is my pink iPhone 13 because I love pink 😂 if they had that for the pro version I’d totally go for it
Pro motion, and the build quality feeling more sturdy is the main reasons why I go with the pro version this year. Plus the extra camera stuff is a bonus... Even if I'm not what you would call a professional photographer. I do use most of the camera features on the pro. But I think the 13 regular is definitely the best buy for most every day people. My wife loves her pink 13 iphone.
Don’t know about others but I’m happy with my 13. Complete package I’ll say. Talking about Pro on the other side, Pro’s really a Pro. Better refreshing rate performance at it’s fullest and many other things. Can’t be underestimated though.
Me too, Sir! Actually, I'm currently using iPhone 6s for almost 6 years and I am planning to upgrade either 13 pro or just the regular 13. Since I saw this video comparison, I bet the regular iPhone 13 is good for me because of the reasonable price. The camera looks good too though iPhone 13 pro is more advance.
I really loved this comparison! Great channel, which unlike other channels actually had a really detailed description + actual photos with the cameras. However, im still not sure which one to pick. I use my phone a lot, watching youtube, netflix, scroll on instagram and also play some games. But i have no idea wether i would notice the 120hz. Other than that, i like making pictures of landscapes, and sometimes also night photos. Currently have the Iphone 7 plus so either way its gonna be a huge upgrade, but just cant decide which one. Thank you! If you’re not sure…you don’t need the Pro. The 13 would still be a massive upgrade and you’re not going to notice the display since your phone is also 60 Hz. It’s cheaper, and gives you scope to upgrade to a Pro in future if you ever wanted to. Once you buy a Pro, it’s hard to ever go back down. So getting a 13 not only makes sense but also gives you more options in future!
@@insidetechltd Wow thats gotta be the quickest reply ive ever gotten. That only gives me more reason to sub to your channel. Going for the 13 then, thanks for the advice!
@@insidetechltd got the regular 13, and so far it has been a blast! Really big difference with my iphone 7 plus, especially with the camera. On another notice- do you have a screen protector and phone case that you recommend? I hope more people will find your channel and see the quality of your videos!
Thank you so much! This video helped me realize I didn't make a mistake by getting the 13 after having some buyer's remorse over the lack of a macro/telephoto lens. I've been impressed by the phone's cameras, which were among the most important upgrades to me coming from a 7, but started thinking that maybe I should have gotten the Pro since it has so much better cameras all around. Seeing how little difference there was in 90% of situations despite the better Pro specs(even the digital/optical zoom comparison wasn't nearly as rough as I expected, honestly), and remembering how much I disliked the massive weighty Pro camera bump, really helped me reaffirm that I made the right choice after all.
Wow, this i must say is one of the BEST comparison videos i have watched of 13vs 13pro. Kudos to the team 👏👏 I myself is super confused between them :) I currently own an One plus 6 and been an Android user for past 10years. I have definitely decided to enter iOS world. Here are my thought process: 1. I don't like the glass back of iPhone 13 - Totally like the frosty material of the pro - But i would anyway throw a case and wont ever use the phone without it - So not a big deal. 2. I don't mind about refresh rate - except for the point of even lower priced android phones these days offer higher than 60Hz refresh. Not really sure if this would be a bummer in day to day phone experience say 2 years down the line. 3. Am not someone who uses phone camera very often - Its all just casual personal family pics / videos once in a while. So am happy with what 13 offers. Dont even bother about telephoto or wide angle stuff. 4. next, i wish 13 had the stainless steel sides, as i mentioned, its gonna be wrapped in case - shouldn't be an issue for me. 4. Finally unlike the price difference of 200$ in US, in India the price difference is atrociously high - Rs. 45000 ( 590$). Still unsure which way to go ! 😀- Appreciate responses from folks who had the opportunity to observe both the phones - through friends / family. By the way am not gonna wait for iPhone 14 / 14 pro - as their launch prices would very likely be higher.
Thank you! So you've pretty much described someone who needs the regular 13 and not the Pro. Like you said, the phone case rules out points 1 and 4, you won't likely need the Pro's camera and don't forget that iPhones have very smooth displays even at 60 Hz. Definitely go for the iPhone 13!
Great video. The iPhone 13 is good enough and for me that £200 difference is just something I won’t benefit from. I’m sure a lot of people come to this conclusion too which is why the standard non-Pro iPhones are so popular.
The reason why I watched this video was to decided which one should I need. Now thanks to you I decided to buy iPhone 13 because the differences does not mean anything for me. Thank you for your amazing comparison, EXCELLENT!!!
i would still get the pro due to following: better zoom range, not just up to 5x only [if non pro iphone in future gives more than 5x zoom then can reconsider] macro photography apple pro raw aka taking raw photos which gives more flexibility to edit [editing raw photos doesnt degrade photo quality] 120hz screen better battery life
I wonder though if one is better of at this point getting a real camera...its a tooon of money for a camera (phone) that is half as good as what you could otherwise get, no??
@@AnalogFlava A camera doesn't take phone calls or browse the internet though, I think that's the idea. Of course a dedicated camera is better at taking photos, but people are paying for multiple features at once
I like the pro better and think it’s worth the extra $200. To me the biggest negative of the pro is the weight and balance. It’s definitely top heavy and out of balance. My concern is that I’m more inclined to drop it
Thanks for your review. Definitely the most imparcial and relevant to the common user. Me iPhone 12 pro for damaged and always wondered wether it was worth paying extra money for all its features. Luckly, after watching your review I realized pro versions are definetely not worth it for me.Thanks for helping me decide going for the the iPhone 13! All the best and keep up the excellent work!
@@insidetechltd thanks! Exactly why Apple offers a variety of iPhones to choose from this time around- to fit the different demographics of their customers. Just like cars, nobody needs the fully loaded model with all the bells and whistles.
What would you recommend after some time with the 13 now? I can get the iPhone 12 pro for similar price to the new 13 and would really appreciate thoughts. I am just std phone user - browsing, family pics and odd game
Is the camera on the 13 Pro more prone to breaking because the lenses stick out more than the 13? We bought 13’s but thinking about returning them an getting 13 Pros. We’ll be using Otterbox cases. Cheers!
@@insidetechltd I appreciate the reply. That’s good to hear. It sounds like the 13 Pro might be worth the extra money because we will probably keep the iPhones for the next three years. Cheers!
Hello Brother - Great video with the use cases. Can you help in deciding between iPhone 14 (not pro) and iPhone 13 pro considering they’re around the same price point and hardware. I am usually a simple user and use my phone for atleast 4-5 years.
I can't tell you yet until the new iPhones come out! I'm making reviews and comparisons to the 13 series so hopefully those videos should help you out 👍🏼
The regular iPhone 13 offers better value and it is lighter which is nice 👍🏾. However, I like the zoom, better night imagine quality, macro lens and zoom capability of Pro model :-(
Me too, can't decide which one to buy! The good thing about the 13 here in my country, is that it's not sold out. The iPhone 13 Pro is currrenctly not in storage many places here.
Went for GREEN iphone 13. Thou pro is amazing but i dont know if i could use all of its features since i am just a casual user. I am an android user and its my first time to have ios phone and it was amazing.
I have to say finding the right iPhone 13 for me has been a challenge. I too came back over from Android. I already had a full specced 2017 iMac and after getting an Apple Watch for Xmas, I decided to go the whole hog to Apple. Again. I started with the 13 pro. The Mrs has the Pro Max and it’s way too heavy and big for me. I previously had the Xperia 1 ii which itself is a huge phone but does not have the weight. After some time, I found even the 13 pro too cumbersome and heavy. I then tried the 13 (normal) and 13 mini. Neither are perfect. The dimensions of the 13 are just too big in my opinion so I have kept the mini and use an iPad for everything else. A phone of the dimensions of X with Pro features would be ideal (minus a hideously large camera bump) and would be my perfect device so let’s see what the next line up brings :)
guys, we have had 60hz phones for so long now, 120 isnt that bigga deal. if u can afford it, go for it! but personally, the 13 gives every single feature of the pro and is worth the money. its basically an improved 12! i say go for the 13 😌
I wish they would just move the on switch a bit further away from the usual finger positions when holding it in hand I keep accidentally pressing it when listening to youtube
Thinking of switching to iphone 13 from Note 10 plus wanting To try out Apple for sometime and I love taking basic instagram photos still thinking if this to save money or go for pro max
Taking photos is something I've always wanted to do but lightning conditions in North East England tend to ruin that. With the Pro I should be able to take photos and actually be able to see detail amongst the greyness
Love the video!! I upgraded from 12 pro max to 13 pro reason size I got tired the big display phones and my carrier was offering good deals on iPhone 13 pro and pro maxes and I got the gold 256gb and I love it!! And my bill is way cheaper because the promotions they offer
Hello, I also doubt between the 13 and 13 pro. I am a little photograph fan and i like the macro function. But how often do you use it? On the other hand i live in Holland and one of my hobby's is fishing. Also in the dark and nighttime. The pro 13 that way better for the price???
This was a great video and probably the best one I've watched comparing the two! I wanted the 13 pro but settled for the 13. Great phone no doubt but I really do like the design of the 13 pro so I think I might buy the 13 pro full price like I did my 13 and then sell my 13 after the pro arrives. I don't NEED to do this because I do not care about the 120hz or ProRes at all but rather the look and build of the pro.
Bought a 13 but thinking of taking it back and getting the pro as I’ve seen so many people say it’s worth the extra money for the pro. I don’t game and use the camera sometimes but I don’t use it to its full extent. I mainly use my phone for social media and like watching a lot of videos and sports and movies on my phone so do I stick with the 13 or upgrade to the pro? I have no clue what to do?
Stick with the 13! Of course people who bought a Pro are going to tell you to buy a Pro. The only reason to upgrade (the only reason to ever upgrade) is if you aren't happy with what you have. If people telling you get a Pro is making you unhappy with the 13...then sure I guess you can upgrade if that will make you happy. But I don't think you need to, especially after how you said you'll use the phone 👍🏼
@@insidetechltd yeah your right, I’ve only had the 13 a week or so and was going to send it back and swap but maybe I just keep the 13. On another notice- do you have a screen protector and phone case that you recommend? I hope more people will find your channel and see the quality of your videos!
Such a great video mate, very detail and helpful. Im going to change my 6s plus for 13 then!
Very comprehensive review, thank you
Thank you!
amazing video review. after a lot of time saw a good tech comparison that talks business!
Thanks a lot!
Such a clean and well-made video!
🙌🏼🙌🏼
I got 13 and I'm pretty happy with it.
Glad I could help!
Exactly the same for me here haha
Wow, this i must say is one of the BEST comparison videos i have watched of 13vs 13pro. Kudos to the team 👏👏 I myself is super confused between them :) I currently own an One plus 6 and been an Android user for past 10years. I have definitely decided to enter iOS world.
Here are my thought process:
@@insidetechltd Thanks 😀👍🏼
The better battery life on 13pro is due to its LTPO variable refresh rate display.
Many battery comparison tests confirm the same.
Great video, I like the look of the regular 13 blue color the best!
It's my favourite 13 colour 👌🏼
Thanks for the detailed side-by-side comparison :) Seems like 13 Pro is not necessary for 90% of people. Better to go with 13 to save some money!
Yeah I reckon 90% is pretty much right! Thanks for watching!
Thanks a lot! 🙌🏼
the biggest deference between them I think is the higher refresh rate display I can’t imagine using a device that only provides 60hz in 2022
i would still get the pro due to following:
better zoom range, not just up to 5x only [if non pro iphone in future gives more than 5x zoom then can reconsider]
macro photography
apple pro raw aka taking raw photos which gives more flexibility to edit [editing raw photos doesnt degrade photo quality]
120hz screen
better battery life
I agree, if the non-pro iPhones get slightly better zoom in future, I think more people would get it instead of a Pro
My concern is that I’m more inclined to drop it
@bobD he probably lives in latvia or somewhere in europe bc my country has the same 200€ deference
Purchased iphone 13, 256gb today on sale for 69k inr. Still feel it's worth the price.
conclusion: if you are budget sensitive, go for the 13; if you are not, go for the 13 pro.
Thank you very much! 🙌🏼
Awesome comparison. Doubt cleared now!
Thank you very much!
Very well made video!
Thanks a lot!
Went from a 12 pro max to a regular 13. It’s good enough for me and I was tired of the stainless steel bezel getting scratched up so easily.
dude that was more downgrade to me, the stainless is so beautiful and tough, you literally only get the cinematic mode
@@11cesarrenato I know I “downgraded”. I literally said the 13 is good enough for the type of user I am.
I think there are enough upgrades to make it worth it (but all that matters is that it works for you!)
Well explained. Unbiased review!
Thank you 👊🏼
Pro is for zoom close up pictures… If you don’t use it, it is useless… then regular Iphone 13 is good enough.
Amazing review! I’ll be going for the 13, although the dog was looking at the pro camera
Thank you!
Excellent, simple video. the Regular 13 for me then. Thanks again
Thank you 🙌🏼
Manifesting 13 this year ❤
Great review! U are a PRO!👍
Thanks a lot! 🙌🏼
Great review
Thanks a lot!
Very meaningful evaluation 🙏
Thanks a lot!
Was about to get the pro but now have just ordered the 13. Thanks for the advice, you saved me £200!👍😎
My pleasure!
Amazing video, as always. Thank you!
👊🏼👊🏼
i upgraded from the iphone 6s+ to the iphone 13 in pink. there was definitely a huge difference between both and im so glad im able to upgrade
Nice 👍🏼
Is the camera on the 13 Pro more prone to breaking because the lenses stick out more than the 13? We bought 13’s but thinking about returning them an getting 13 Pros. We’ll be using Otterbox cases. Cheers!
No, the cases cover up the lens so it's the same for both models
@@insidetechltd I appreciate the reply. That’s good to hear. It sounds like the 13 Pro might be worth the extra money because we will probably keep the iPhones for the next three years. Cheers!
No problem. I hope you enjoy them!
Crystal clear video
Thanks!
Brooooo please make review on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 pro. You're the most underrated tech reviewer in RUclips.
That's awesome, thank you! 👍🏼 Not many people watched my Pixel videos in the past, but if enough people want to see Pixel 6 videos then i'll do it!
@@insidetechltd Pixel is hot right now especially the 6 and 6 pro. It deserves a review
i have the regular 13 and i can confirm that yes i don’t really need the pro
Hello Brother - Great video with the use cases. Can you help in deciding between iPhone 14 (not pro) and iPhone 13 pro considering they’re around the same price point and hardware. I am usually a simple user and use my phone for atleast 4-5 years.
I can't tell you yet until the new iPhones come out! I'm making reviews and comparisons to the 13 series so hopefully those videos should help you out 👍🏼
Thank you. I’ll wait for you to post your review of the 14’s.
Good review 👍
Thank you 👊🏼
Anker has really worked their way into all of these tech guys videos lol
Good analysis
Thanks!
thanks for making such a wonderful video. Iphone 13 is good for most users and I only wanted to hear that from someone to confirm my argument.
Thanks for watching!
Great video, i think i'm going to chose the pro simply because of the refresh rate being faster
The regular iPhone 13 offers better value and it is lighter which is nice 👍🏾. However, I like the zoom, better night imagine quality, macro lens and zoom capability of Pro model :-(
That's pretty much my view too!
Me too, can't decide which one to buy! The good thing about the 13 here in my country, is that it's not sold out. The iPhone 13 Pro is currrenctly not in storage many places here.
True but for really great photos I have NIKON SLR digital camera :) On regular basis I don’t need what 13 Pro offers in terms of photography.
big billion are awsm,
Went for GREEN iphone 13. Thou pro is amazing but i dont know if i could use all of its features since i am just a casual user. I am an android user and its my first time to have ios phone and it was amazing.
Nice!
Agree with the color choices. Spot-on!
The best this year 👌🏼
13 it is, thank you for the review!
Nice 👌🏼 Thanks for watching!
very helpful ,thank you
Great review! I upgraded from Samsung S7 to the 13 Pro. question - at 3:36, what game is that?
Thank you! It's Pascal's Wager - one of the 120 Hz games on the app store
Do you really feel a difference between a 13/13pro and an iPhone X? Talking about dimensions
Thank You Man, I was initially confused but now I'm sure that the iphone 13 is more value for money than the pro one.
You're welcome! Here to help 👍🏼
What game is played at 3:36?
Made my choice as 13. Thank you for the video!
Nice 👌🏼
Can you do tutorial on iphone 13 pro how to change keyboard style like
guys, we have had 60hz phones for so long now, 120 isnt that bigga deal. if u can afford it, go for it! but personally, the 13 gives every single feature of the pro and is worth the money. its basically an improved 12! i say go for the 13 😌
update: i ended up w the pro max for the bigger size LMAAOAOAOAOAOOO
I wish they would just move the on switch a bit further away from the usual finger positions when holding it in hand
I keep accidentally pressing it when listening to youtube
I still accidentally screenshot to be honest so I feel your pain!
Nice video. What game is in the video?
Thanks! I expect you're referring to Pascal's Wager - it's one of the 120 Hz games on the App store
Rehular 13 user. Amazing review!!
Thank you very much!
Thinking of switching to iphone 13 from Note 10 plus wanting To try out Apple for sometime and I love taking basic instagram photos still thinking if this to save money or go for pro max
Go for it! If you don't like it, can always go back to Samsung 🤷♂️ I've always liked iPhones for social media
Would love to upgrade to the regular iPhone 13 from the iPhone 11 if they included the ProMotion display.
Taking photos is something I've always wanted to do but lightning conditions in North East England tend to ruin that. With the Pro I should be able to take photos and actually be able to see detail amongst the greyness
Living in England troubles...
@@insidetechltd They really went all in with the grey filter haha
Love the video!! I upgraded from 12 pro max to 13 pro reason size I got tired the big display phones and my carrier was offering good deals on iPhone 13 pro and pro maxes and I got the gold 256gb and I love it!! And my bill is way cheaper because the promotions they offer
Thank you!
All of that and not one , impressive
Hello,
I also doubt between the 13 and 13 pro. I am a little photograph fan and i like the macro function. But how often do you use it? On the other hand i live in Holland and one of my hobby's is fishing. Also in the dark and nighttime.
The pro 13 that way better for the price???
I almost never use the macro feature personally. I don’t think the Pro is that much better for the price
How you do rate Vivo X70 pro vs iPhone 13 pro for photo and video both considering long term usage. Which would be a Best Buy ?
I'm sorry, i've not looked at the the X70 Pro yet!
Aw! that Dog in cinematic mode is supercute
Ah thank you!
I really appreciate that, thank you! If you prefer the design and build of the Pro, that's a perfectly legitimate reason to go for that instead!
@@insidetechltd for sure!!
Great video great quality
Appreciate it 🙌🏼
I’m going for the 13 and 13 pro this month 😊 I want to see the difference for myself 🙂
Please give me one when you are done testing the two.
Is there a big difference or any in quality of screen in terms of like when watching movies will I be able to tell the difference in quality? I’ve moved from the iPhone X so it’s a big upgrade kind off.
Screen...definitely not. Unless you're stood outdoors in bright sunlight trying to watch movies, you'll literally not be able to tell a difference 👍🏼
@@insidetechltd yeah I don’t think that will be the case much, I guess I’ll just keep my 13 then as £250 extra is a lot to spend when I don’t need to really. Thanks for the help!👍
Keep the 13!
