I LOVE LOVE how you structure your videos they are applicable to everyone, no matter what play style, level of gamer, level of game, and most importantly, NOT SEASONAL. This game is not going anywhere for at minim 5 years so more is better and eternal is still the main game mode I'll be playing!

I havent touched the Seasons yet, as I am yet to get to lvl 100 and every body else is putting out builds for seasons, which is of no use to me yet. Keep up the great work!
Nice post. The only problem is that the rogue is extremely squishy, so this build is ONLY good for lower tiers which your video has clearly shown as you are only doing a tier 58 NM Dungeon. I found that doing tiers above 60 with my Lvl 100 rogue, that a lot of times I get one-shot, so thorns do not do much good for squishy builds and are only good for tanky builds as it must be able to handle the damage. I loved the video though because I had no idea that the Skyhunter could cause crits on thorns. Thanks for the post!

Hi. How do you think about Vulnerable stats for this build? The issue is: You need to hit enemies to get them Vulnerable and if so, the won't get thorn crit trigger anymore.
Vulnerable will only work on the second hit, so if you focus on thorns damage alone, it is in fact negligible. One more reason why it has such a good synergy with PVP as you dont have vulnerable there anyway. But you will need it for your skills in dungeons, while farming or during world events, when you use your core skills.
@@T7PDM Thanks yea.. I didn't have a lot of vulnerable for the most part my build is pretty ridiculous for pvp. I tried this build out for pvp, pve melted everything in the zone except for the big boss at level 84... but pvp it was about as useful as using a dry mop to mop floors. I also found my survivability was pretty rough past tier 27 for dungeons and also struggled with single target like the bosses or heavy elites.. after getting wiped up by a barb in pvp I went back to my pvp build took out everyone in the pvp area and went back to tier 67 dungeons to level this weekend.

Only for Frozen, you use it to kill the remaining elites. If you increase your cold imbuement you can get the elites frozen in 2 shots and penitent greaves also speed this up.
The Thorns will not make them vulnerable, the crit will only work on first hit. To make enemies vulnerable in general you use the exploit glyph and the shadow explosions. The pure Rapid fire build is more tanky and deals more damage with your shots, so its better for dungeons, While this is better and faster for helltide and world events.
I’m currently just putting on razor plate chest piece onto my twisting blades rogue and got over 200k red seeds/ dust whatever it’s called in less than 2 hours. I didn’t even put the needle flare aspect on or change any other gear!!
Make sure you use the Skyhunter to make your thorns crit, penitent greaves might not work if enemies move too quickly, or use range attacks, but might be worth a try.
Awesome idea! However the paragon board wont work at lvl 100 unfortunately. The board with Efficacy in it has 2 issues. Rare node Knowledge requires 620 Intel and Rare Node Ruin requires 630. Im assuming this is because I am lvl 100? As nothing else makes sense.
You have to swap the boards and make the eldrich bounty your LAST board, and No Witness board your 5th board. The intelligence caps are 530 and 540 for the No Witness board. It was also clearly shown that these are active in the video. Watch it more carefully, it makes sense if you watch the whole video, and not stop halfway.
Does anyone know if the grenades dropped from aspects count as 'skills' with the aspect Explosive verse? I'm theory crafting a build involving exposure and resetting cooldowns, but it wont work if said grenades dont count. I made an awesomely fun barbarian build that uses all brawling skills and cleared all content in the game with it, and I'm trying to do the same with rogue by utilizing Exposure key passive.
Yes it is. You can remove the 20 points towards the eldrich bounty legendary node, and all the outer branches on the other boards and the no witness board.
The problem is not the damage, the problem is that by getting hit intentionally as a rogue you would die too quickly when playing high NM dungeons. This trick is insane for open world, helltide and even PVP with some adaptions, but not as good for nightmare dungeons above tier 70+. However in season 1 or future seasons with hearts, etc. you might push it further, but the main problem is that you usually dont want to get hit by those high level monsters as a rogue.

It actually works for anything up to tier 70 but best is for overworld. I managed to score some kills in PVP with a much weaker version of it, but I would recommend to use some different aspects, like the protection bubble.
@@msing6741 You can stack damage to close and chilled instead of the excess vulnerable and crit. Use Turf instead of combat for the Paragon board, gives also additional DR.

This build is best and fastest for overworld farming, helltides and world events. Nightmare dungeons can be run up to tier 70, but confortably only up to tier 60. The main problem is that the Rogue class is too squishy and the Thorns are not useful anymore, if you have to avoid getting hit in those higher levels. You will have to make it much tankier, which then would only reduce damage. Traps are not considered direct damage, plus poison traps are considered DoTs and not direct damage, thus they shouldn't break thorns mechanics with Skyhunter bow. Have you tested that out?
I have not tested poison traps, but the Skyhunter should work for any first damage you deal. This could be awesome. BTW: Thorns damage even with Skyhunter wont crit when riding your horse, for some reason.

The key aspects and everything else was shown in the video. Needleflare, Frostbite, Cheats aspect, inner calm, corruption, edgemaster, etc. You need the Control glyph and infusion, combat, efficiacy, exploit and depending on your playstyle and core skill either ranger or closer. Getting 9 ranks of exploit is important, and maximum damage to healthy enemies.
Broodmasters stinger is the only weapon I’ve seen that has damage to healthy enemies but it takes a while to get a decent item level. But thanks for the detailed reply
@@PoreikiJack You can get 175% damage to healthy enemies from your paragon, if you allocate the points as shown in the video. This massively boosts the damage. Of course also getting as much "all damage" as possible.
@@T7PDMI struggle to understand the frostbite aspect for this build. The Bonus ist only active against frozen enemys. The boots only chill them and if there is no second source for chill them again they dont freeze before the first hit. Can you explain how it works? 🙏🏽 Maybe i play it in a wrong way.. Thanks a lot !
@@michaelascher2693 That was a bit confusing, sorry. As you wont kill every enemy with your thorns, frostbite will help you to kill the elites with your core skills. Penitent greaves are for your Thorns + faster freeze, Frostbite is for finishing of stronger enemies with your cold imbuement, they will get frozen by the first hit, if they are already chilled.

@@T7PDM My bad, I recently switched from twisting blades to your build. Twisting blades with hearts packed a punch and kept me alive in high-tier NM dungeons, but I got bored of it. I'm still at level 89 and my gear isn't perfect for this setup yet. Plus, I haven't found penitent grieves. I'm hoping this build beefs up in the tankiness department as I progress. Anyway, got a few more questions for you: (a) Ever given Rain of Arrows a spin instead of Death Trap? Wondering if it that along with the unique, Word of Hakan makes this build bettter than Death Trap? (b) What's your take on Inner Calm and the base attack power change when you move? Considering you have to move around quite a bit as a rogue you think we get to truly take advantage of the additional damage? (c) Since I can't soak up much damage right now, I did a little experiment. Swapped out the accelerating glove for Grasp of Shadows unique. Now, I can roll with two core skills: Rapid Fire and either Barrage or Penetrating Shot. Perfect for dealing with those pesky ghosts and enemies causing damage from a distance. Lost some attack speed but got back most from the unique. With this change I can now handle enemies nine levels above me with ease, although I did run out of spirit a few times. Looking promising for now.
@@onemorethompson Deathtrap is better than rain of arrows, as deathrap also resets your imbuements and you want to use shadow damage anyway, so there is a great synergy for deathtrap. Grasp of Shadows is trash. The whole shadow clone stuff is not worth it. Rather get some gloves that boost both of your preferred skills and you still have 2 other perks + an aspect slot which is way better than grasp of shadow. Inner calm activates during your rapid fire shot, the second shot gets the boost and the thrid is even better if you just stop running round like a duracel bunny its totally worth it. It multiplies your "all damage". If you need to kill mobs use shadow imbuement to make everything explode instantly. You have to increase your armor and damage reduction to be more tanky and take more damage. health is way less important than armor.
@@T7PDM Ok, good to know more on death trap. I can't recollect if you mentioned this in the video, are you able to kill Uber Lilith with this setup? Also how do you do against the Butcher?
@@onemorethompson For Uber Lillith you need a stagger build. Getting hit by Lillith will not work well. ;-) Butchers will melt on same level with enough damage reduction and armor. But not on higher NM levels.
@@T7PDM yea i know but since death trap pulls enemy’s in you can stay in the death trap and do the thorns damage and if you can constantly put death trap down it will be better
@@KING_TITAN. Oh that sounds interesting. But the thorns will only crit on first contact, if the enemies get damage from deathtrap before the thorns wont crit anymore.
That seems like a bug since thorns isnt considered Direct Hit as enchantments like Frost bolt or Fire bolt that add to direct hit dont work. Can someone confirm that this might be a bug.
The Skyhunter is intended to make every first contact be a critical hit, as this is its unique powerful ability. It can only be used for Rogue, so any other class is missing out on it.
You can use the skyhunter, boots and razorplate and incorporate it into your PVP build! Its quite strong actually but some aspects and some perks should be different for PVP.
Looks like it was a combination, I never had these numbers except with this build. 9 ranks of Exploit, damage to healthy and the chill effects also played a major role. No seasonal content was used, btw, so if you add that ,it could go even higher. I have recorded a thorns hit of 2.4 million solely from thorns, it was also somewhere in the footage.

But you would need different aspects, like the escape artist and the protection bubble. And get more core skill damage maybe, but that wont affect your Thorns.
I saw you use swords. Wouldn´t it be better to use daggers because of damage to close enemys? U would loose 21% Crit Strike Damage but gain 60% Damage to close enemys
If you only focus on the thorns damage you could use damage to close, but you also want to use this for range attacks, except of you use a melee skill. For a melee skill you would be right.
Yeah ok. I play a Season Build and i want to test it with barrier and the aspekt of increase damage while having a barrier and focus on maximize the damage close enemy damage in combination with thorns. I would only play the bow for the first contact crit damage. I will try and if it doesn´t work i will try your build 😅 @@T7PDM
Goo idea, they have fixed the damage with barrier, atleast they claimed it. It wasnt working before last patch. Temerity might be a good 4th unique here then.
Little feedback. I give it a try with barrier but no matter what, i get almost instanly killed by elites in nightmare dungeons. I tried several different aspects and skills but nothing worked and i had so much items with creating barrier and even several damage reductions on a few items... disappointing @@T7PDM. Maybe paragon is my problem, i´m level 75. Any ideas?
You can do tier 60s to 70s with this build and the barber will be gone in 2 months. Nothing is faster than this build, when it comes to helltides and overworld farming.
Of course this video is recommended to me the day after I sold my 10,500 thorns chest because it’s done nothing but take up space in my chest for weeks lol.
It will melt him when he is on your level. This is not for higher level NM dungeons, its fastest for farming, world events and can be used for PVP. Nightmare dungeons are only viable up to T70 with this build.
I was excited when I saw the title of this content. Then I watched the video and was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!! Bro you have 3 uniques needed for this build, are you serious?? I’m lucky I got 2 uniques and I’m level 77 in season 2, this build is not viable, sorry man.

As long as you dont attempt high level nightmare dungeons and you have enough DR, you will be fine.

@@jamess2263 Vulnerable is capped at a very low amount in PVP, so be careful not to overinvest when you make a PVP build.

Tips for levelling up to 100?

The dropped grenades from aspects do freeze enemies for Rogues. The damage increase is independent from that and always works.

Pvp crit damage is maxed at 150% so that would be a huge knock

The mechanic can be integrated in a PVP build and from what I have heard, works great for it.
Thorn doesn’t do anything for DoT. Only the initial hit that applies the DoT

Getting 9 ranks of exploit is important, and maximum damage to healthy enemies.
Broodmasters stinger is the only weapon I’ve seen that has damage to healthy enemies but it takes a while to get a decent item level. But thanks for the detailed reply
@@PoreikiJack You can get 175% damage to healthy enemies from your paragon, if you allocate the points as shown in the video. This massively boosts the damage. Of course also getting as much "all damage" as possible.

@@T7PDMI struggle to understand the frostbite aspect for this build. The Bonus ist only active against frozen enemys. The boots only chill them and if there is no second source for chill them again they dont freeze before the first hit. Can you explain how it works? 🙏🏽 Maybe i play it in a wrong way.. Thanks a lot !
@@michaelascher2693 That was a bit confusing, sorry. As you wont kill every enemy with your thorns, frostbite will help you to kill the elites with your core skills. Penitent greaves are for your Thorns + faster freeze, Frostbite is for finishing of stronger enemies with your cold imbuement, they will get frozen by the first hit, if they are already chilled.
So I’m thinking about using some of this as a troll pvp build 😅

You have to use 2 points on basic skills, you can not have less than 2.
@@T7PDM My bad, I recently switched from twisting blades to your build. Twisting blades with hearts packed a punch and kept me alive in high-tier NM dungeons, but I got bored of it. I'm still at level 89 and my gear isn't perfect for this setup yet. Plus, I haven't found penitent grieves. I'm hoping this build beefs up in the tankiness department as I progress. Anyway, got a few more questions for you:
(a) Ever given Rain of Arrows a spin instead of Death Trap? Wondering if it that along with the unique, Word of Hakan makes this build bettter than Death Trap?
(b) What's your take on Inner Calm and the base attack power change when you move? Considering you have to move around quite a bit as a rogue you think we get to truly take advantage of the additional damage?
(c) Since I can't soak up much damage right now, I did a little experiment. Swapped out the accelerating glove for Grasp of Shadows unique. Now, I can roll with two core skills: Rapid Fire and either Barrage or Penetrating Shot. Perfect for dealing with those pesky ghosts and enemies causing damage from a distance. Lost some attack speed but got back most from the unique. With this change I can now handle enemies nine levels above me with ease, although I did run out of spirit a few times. Looking promising for now.
@@onemorethompson Deathtrap is better than rain of arrows, as deathrap also resets your imbuements and you want to use shadow damage anyway, so there is a great synergy for deathtrap.
Grasp of Shadows is trash. The whole shadow clone stuff is not worth it. Rather get some gloves that boost both of your preferred skills and you still have 2 other perks + an aspect slot which is way better than grasp of shadow.
Inner calm activates during your rapid fire shot, the second shot gets the boost and the thrid is even better if you just stop running round like a duracel bunny its totally worth it. It multiplies your "all damage".
If you need to kill mobs use shadow imbuement to make everything explode instantly. You have to increase your armor and damage reduction to be more tanky and take more damage. health is way less important than armor.
@@T7PDM Ok, good to know more on death trap. I can't recollect if you mentioned this in the video, are you able to kill Uber Lilith with this setup? Also how do you do against the Butcher?
@@onemorethompson For Uber Lillith you need a stagger build. Getting hit by Lillith will not work well. ;-) Butchers will melt on same level with enough damage reduction and armor. But not on higher NM levels.

Deathtrap deals the normal deathtrap / shadow damage. Its already part of the build.
@@T7PDM yea i know but since death trap pulls enemy’s in you can stay in the death trap and do the thorns damage and if you can constantly put death trap down it will be better
@@KING_TITAN. Oh that sounds interesting. But the thorns will only crit on first contact, if the enemies get damage from deathtrap before the thorns wont crit anymore.
That seems like a bug since thorns isnt considered Direct Hit as enchantments like Frost bolt or Fire bolt that add to direct hit dont work. Can someone confirm that this might be a bug.
The Skyhunter is intended to make every first contact be a critical hit, as this is its unique powerful ability. It can only be used for Rogue, so any other class is missing out on it.

Yeah some combination of all the CC effects with blast, there was also a sole hit of 2.4 million only from thorns.

how does it perform on T90+ dungeons and T100 ?
The Razor Plate makes you even more squishy as a Rogue, it is fun for Helltides and world events, but doesnt hold up to dungeons above tier 70.

You can use the skyhunter, boots and razorplate and incorporate it into your PVP build! Its quite strong actually but some aspects and some perks should be different for PVP.

Looks like it was a combination, I never had these numbers except with this build. 9 ranks of Exploit, damage to healthy and the chill effects also played a major role.
No seasonal content was used, btw, so if you add that ,it could go even higher.
I have recorded a thorns hit of 2.4 million solely from thorns, it was also somewhere in the footage.

I saw you use swords. Wouldn´t it be better to use daggers because of damage to close enemys? U would loose 21% Crit Strike Damage but gain 60% Damage to close enemys
If you only focus on the thorns damage you could use damage to close, but you also want to use this for range attacks, except of you use a melee skill. For a melee skill you would be right.
Yeah ok. I play a Season Build and i want to test it with barrier and the aspekt of increase damage while having a barrier and focus on maximize the damage close enemy damage in combination with thorns. I would only play the bow for the first contact crit damage. I will try and if it doesn´t work i will try your build 😅 @@T7PDM
Goo idea, they have fixed the damage with barrier, atleast they claimed it. It wasnt working before last patch. Temerity might be a good 4th unique here then.
Little feedback. I give it a try with barrier but no matter what, i get almost instanly killed by elites in nightmare dungeons. I tried several different aspects and skills but nothing worked and i had so much items with creating barrier and even several damage reductions on a few items... disappointing @@T7PDM. Maybe paragon is my problem, i´m level 75. Any ideas?
I’m using Temerity with this build and they sync well allowing you to push higher nightmare dungeons

Nope, you need a stagger build for Uber Lillith
Its good up to tier 70 for NM dungeons, and perfect for helltide, world events or farming.
I dont see a reason to do it, since all u can complete is tier 45 NMD.... just use barber build that can close any NMD
You can do tier 60s to 70s with this build and the barber will be gone in 2 months.
Nothing is faster than this build, when it comes to helltides and overworld farming.

It will melt him when he is on your level. This is not for higher level NM dungeons, its fastest for farming, world events and can be used for PVP. Nightmare dungeons are only viable up to T70 with this build.
I was excited when I saw the title of this content. Then I watched the video and was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!! Bro you have 3 uniques needed for this build, are you serious?? I’m lucky I got 2 uniques and I’m level 77 in season 2, this build is not viable, sorry man.
Everybody, who plays more than an hour per day, has these items. They will drop much more often at level 85+.
