I remember the Noid as a kid. I had no idea why he was removed till now. Very sad about the disturbed person with the Noid name. I'm glad Dominoes stopped the 30 mins or less thing, which was causing accidents.
The Pizza Wars largely passed us by. When I was growing up in the 80s, our town of roughly 7000 inhabitants had TWO pizza joints: Pizza Hut on the West end, and Ken's on the East End. Preference was generally dictated by which side of town you lived on. We lived West of town, so we almost always went to the Hut (which today I cannot STAND, and is the only pizza I despise more than Domino's) But we still got the Noid commercials, which I found amusing, primarily because they were animated.
I would say go check out the Keith Moon video I did and he pops up there too. However you have “animation” in your name so I’m scared to direct you to some terrible animation that I did for that video 😂
Weirdly the closest pizza place to me is Godfather's pizza, it also the newest and most expensive in the area. Yes it is still that Godfather's Pizza from the 80s.
I'm going to bet $100 that capcom took some underselling Japanese game, redid the spite work and ... a North Anerican Noid game was released. That how we got the North America Mario 2.

I grew up with Panago, which was called Panagopoulos back then. I think it’s regional to BC (Canada) or at least it was back then. The pizza still tastes identical to when I was a kid. I never liked Pizza Hut or Dominoes. I found them both too greasy.

I got Yo Noid for Christmas one year. It was pretty fun. There were a few stumbling blocks, but I eventually beat the game after a few weeks.
It was fun for the hour or so I played. But I’m also a sucker for a platformer :P

Dominoes changed the crust again and now it's gross. Pizza hut isn't any good either. Show biz pizza was so much better than chucky cheese.
