Lyrics: The Sun is the center of our solar system, as a giant ball of plasma its pretty hard to miss him, in its 30 million degrees (fahrenheit) , center you would see, hydrogen fuse into helium and release energy, magnetic fields cause solar flares and coronal mass ejections, and particles from these burst damage electronic connections, it's 100 times as wide as Earth, 93 million miles far, despite all of this its just an average-size star Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun And as such it takes the least time to run around it's orbit, its years is only 88 earth days. And the solar wind means that little has stays, on its rocky surface; barren and full of craters, with no atmosphere its temperature waivers From 800 Fahrenheit to minus 300 at night. But there is still some ice in craters away from the light. Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. Venus is the second planet from the sun, it's the same size as Earth ... give or take some. Venus is covered in a thick layer of clouds made of carbon dioxide which is effect shrouds The planet from losing heat like a giant blanket. So its 900 degrees due to the greenhouse effect, it's covered with volcanoes and is shaped by their powers. And yhe only probes that have ever landed died within 2 hours. Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. The Earth is the third planet from the Sun ... I gotta feeling you're familiar with this one, it's the only planet known to have had life in its history, Though just how life started is still a bit of mystery. 4 billion years ago 2 protoplanets collide, And our moon was formed when collision debris united, Earth's in the goldilocks zone, not too hot nor tomorrow cold, for liquid water to exist and life as we know it to take hold. Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and it's the place where our voyage to other planet's has begun The surface is covered with red iron oxide, and much of its atmosphere was blown away with no magnetic field inside. Early astronomers saw canals everywhere, And they thought perhaps alien's put them there, Thanks to telescopes, orbiters, and rovers we now know That there are no such alien canals, although Rivers, Delta's, Volcanoes, and Canyons, abound, there's little water left, but life on Mars may still be found, So we send space craft there, like curiosity To try to understand Mars geologic history. Between inner planets and outer planets they are billions of asteroids orbiting in a belt around our star sometimes they are knocked out of their stable orbit and they might collide with earth if they dont avoid it. Why the belt? Well it has to do with Jupiter, you see it pulls on the belt with its massive gravity, preventing asteroids from forming into another planet, but dont worry, a big one can't hit earth soon, or can it. Jupiter is the fifth planet and the largest one, bigger then all the others combined, but only one thousandth the Sun, its gas giant so it has no ground on which to stand, but that doesn't mean its surface is bland, The great red spot is a giant cyclone one it's surface, its centuries old and huge, bigger than the earth is. There are four big moons that with binoculars you can see, Discovered in 1619 by Galileo Galilei. Io has volcanoes, heated by the friction of its tides And Europa's is covered in ice with an ocean inside Ganymede is the largest moon we know exist And Callisto's covered in craters from the asteroid it hits Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun, in terms of beauty, I'd say its rings have clearly won, they're made or bits of ice and rock orbiting through the void and they may have been formed when a moon was destroyed. Saturn is the least dense of any planet known and the most oblate, its centrifugal force is really shown. Titan has methane lakes and a thick layer of orange haze. And Enceladus has water in liquid phase. Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun, And dirty jokes about its name are deserving of SHUN! Not much is known is about Uranus or it's Brother Neptune 'Cuz Voyager 2 was the only craft to go to them 2. Uranus has a rings, though not as great as Saturn's, And it's usually devoid of any interesting patterns, there's not much not more about this planet which i can say, but hopefully we'll send a new space craft there someday. Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. Neptune is the Eight and final planet from our star, The sun's .1% as bright because it is so far, it's similar to Uranus in mass, size and composition, and Uranus orbit predicted it's position. You may have noticed Neptune is a bright blue, the methane in its atmosphere gives Neptune its Hue, its the windiest with 100 mile-per-hour gusts. And triton has liquid nitrogen spewing from its crust. Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon. The ninth planet was Pluto, but its a planet no more, Because its roo small, its a dwarf planet, but this topic's sore, The planet's orbit close to a plane, but pluto does not, and more dwarf planets were found, That's what got this topic hot. Pluto's big moon, Charon, is Pluto's little brother, so big that Pluto and Charon orbit one another. Beyond the Kuiper belt is the Oort cloud And thats where debris from our stars formation can be found. Our Sun, and the planets, like Eartha and Mars, are not alone, just look at the stars. You see, most stars have their own collection of bodies, and that is what the search for exoplanets studies, And they are far more stars up there than you can imagine, Three-Hundred billion in our galaxy, And there are hundreds of billions of galaxies that we know! So think about how small you are, down here below...
I cant even explain how happy, nostalgic, and adventurous this song is. I remember listening to it on loop for hours with my brother when I was a young kid.. Good times. I'm sure you have realized this, but you have inspired thousands of kids just like me to make a change in the world, to make a difference, to hopefully venture deep into space, and uncover the secrets of the universe. If you are reading this, thank you, you have truly inspired me to do something in the world.
I remember awkwardly singing this song infront of my science teacher. I memorised the whole thing and now I still have it in my head, especially Jupiter. I will always remember that Galelio discovered Jupiter in 1610
I remember hearing this back when I was 6 and few years later this got me interested in space. This song actually helped me remember all the planet names back in first grade. The song is also so nostalgic and I have been singing it for years.
Thanks ^^ I've been pretty busy with my first year of college since I made this, but now that I have summer break, I hope to get out some more videos :)
After 10 years i still appreciate this song, this song got me interested in science im now in, highschool and im excelling in science because of this song.
I feel so warm and fuzzy listening to this, it never fails to give me nostalgia. I really have to thank my year 4 teacher for showing me this. Thank you for everything you taught me, Mrs. Glover 🫡🥲
I keep singing this song over and over and over and I’m getting nostalgic my teacher asked me what the channel name was and she liked the song I really liked it to! This is amazing keep doing this please
I remember listening to this song in, like, 3rd/4th grade. It really boosted my interest in astronomy. Currently in 11th grade, still interested in what space has to offer and still thinking this song is an absolute bop
The solar system is still a mystery, but is somewhat beautiful, although that probably took you a long time to practice to memorize the song in 4th grade- 500 Billion stars = Not found Planets till today.
I remember back when I was a kid, I always listened to this song (and barely understand anything since my English back then was still pretty bad). And now, RUclips decided to suggest this song to me again after years The nostalgic hits hard
The song is so nostalgic so catchy and so amazing I hope whoever created this has an amazing day this was literally my childhood and this started my small space phase
I seriously can't thank you enough for this song. I have been singing it for years and it actually made me smarter. (well, I think) Hope the things you work on the future are just as successful! Love you, dude.
Kbgjkhdhhs you make me a list and you made it safely to get a list for today and poem for today at the planets in our home get a chance can to get a chance can you send a picture to the lemmings and you make
@Goombalo10 i sing this for 69 years but im tired i sing it but i want go to my house planets are cool planets have moon planet have hot and cold i can go to space i going all of them and sun makes him hot planet

Ik it’s 9 years after, but this guy made me interested in space exploration and stuff along the lines of that. I remember when I was like 5-6 years old, and I used to get sturdy from this song. I just listened to the song today and the nostalgia it gave me.😢
This song honestly brings so much memories, back when I was a little 3 year old I would always watch this video with my mum before I fell asleep, it really taught me a lot about space and was one of the main reasons i love space :)
9 years later this is still nostalgic. I used to listen to this all the time when I was 6 or 7 when this first came out. I hope the creator of this is still out there and if you are reading this, thank you for being a really big part of my childhood. I remember listening to this and wanting to be an astronaut when I grow up. I just want to say one more time, thank you.
Best song on the solar system ever, I watched this back in 4th grade in class and came back to it after a long time to listen to it again, still the best song on our solar system
wow, its been 9 years. this song made 9 year old me fall in love with astronomy, cosmology, and any other space science you can think of, i can still recite the whole song by memory to this day! im currently studying to be an astrophysicist basically all thanks to you.

Nostalgia. Pure nostalgia. For Some goofy reason, I used to be traumatised about this song because of the asteroid hitting Earth parts, but now it's just a faint memory long ago! I think this is probably one of, if not, THE best Solar System songs my two ears have listened to! Me and my brain approve of this song AND your galaxy song! Thank you, Stefan! Also, 4:42 LOLOLOL FUNNY URANUS JOKE FUNNI HEHE
There is no word in the dictionary with which I can describe how good is this video! *Nostalgia literally entered the chat!* I remeber listening to this song 4 years ago when I was 10! Liked it the first time when I heard it... Now, I am Back here!!! This is just Outstanding!!!
This makes me wanna be a space scientist. It feels so relaxing and nostalgic and every time a planet is described it actually goes with it and for the most part, I cannot let go of watching this. I am just having the right to be sure that you make a song about each of these in singular videos :)
Oh my gosh this is throwback... i remember i was like literally 4-5 years old when i watched it. This was my absolute favorite back then, i'll make sure to come next year...
I don't like how catchy this is. I watched this in like 2017 and It just came back into my mind and knew every single word in that chorus. Thanks for the cool song.
I can't even try to find the right words to explain how chefs kiss and educational this is. Without this song, I'd probably end up quitting my interest in space science. Definitely seeing this used in science class somewhere.
Me and my friends sung this at a science class and our teacher was so impressed we got an A. We also had to do it infront of our whole school it was so good. Thanks!
This song is the first space video I watched while being interested on space, Most accurate video ever. I now like Geography, Politics and History, yet I am trying my hardest to get interested into Space again, which I am doing very well. I know a lot about space.
I've seen this song a year ago. This song is 3 years older than me, yet it would probably be one of my favorite one. Not only it's educational, it also a fun to listen to!
I remembered I was 5 and used to play this song over and over again. This is the reason why I love the solar system so much. Great job to who wrote this song!
I forgot this existed almost 3 years ago, but coming back to work now I still memorized the chorus! This screams nostalgia, and for a planet geek like me, this is super cool!
I'm so glad I finally found this again, I remember when I was like 8, just putting it on repeat, mindlessly singing along to it, and sometimes the karaoke version. I still remember some lyrics to this day o;
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars there the first four planets ROCKY LIKE OURS!!! Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune They’re made of hydrogen and helium gas, like a balloon!!
I remember when in second or third grade I Memorized this word for word and annoyed my friend by constantly singing this lol And I didn’t care Edit a year later: how the heck did this get 300+ likes?
To be honest I want to make my own animation of this songs the lyrics are so fast but it gave me an inspiration to make my own song of the planets, this channel rocks! Channels like you Hopscotch and Bemular give out a wonderful inspiration towards other people.
I realized it was rather fast and was going to slow it down a bit... but I somehow lost the original files for some of the planets, so not wanting to stretch the audio was stuck with it ;p
I remember when I used to watch this song over and over when I was like 4-8 years old.. now it's been 4 years since I listened to this song and I memorized half of it. This video is so nostalgic and this probably inspired thousands of kids, like me, to be all-knowing about space.. thank you for this song and I hope whoever reads this has a nice day
Imagine waking up and it starts turning day and night constantly, then look up and all the planets are spinning very fast, and worst of all, there’s catchy music
i watched this when i was younger, obsessed with space, and not good at english. this helped be become more fluent in the language, and now speaking english is basically as easy as dutch (my native language) for me. thanks for that mate, i will always have some amount of appriciation for this song, no matter what. this is truly one of the most nostalic things for me. ok, so this above was typed well before watching, and now im at mars' part, and im almost crying from nostalgia and of what this means to me, this might just be one of the most impactful video's on this platform for me
This song is what first got me into astronomy and I want to pursue a career related. I heard it 8 years ago and I’m crying tears of joy hearing it again. Thank you for putting so much effort into this.
I thought this was a little kids video that would immediately click away from but when I heard it I loved it good job best soler system song ever (Edit) wow the creator of the video liked my comment...
My sons absolutely love this song! My two year old can name all the planets, and my four year old can state some facts about each one, and other parts of our galaxy!
This is what made me become interested in space when i was around 6. Now planning to become an astronomer or more unlikely but more preferable to me, an astronaut. Thank You for the nostalgia and the amazing video.
The nostalgia is hitting hard right now bro 🥲

The Sun is the center of our solar system, as a giant ball of plasma its pretty hard to miss him, in its 30 million degrees (fahrenheit) , center you would see, hydrogen fuse into helium and release energy, magnetic fields cause solar flares and coronal mass ejections, and particles from these burst damage electronic connections, it's 100 times as wide as Earth, 93 million miles far, despite all of this its just an average-size star
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours
Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon.

Venus is covered in a thick layer of clouds made of carbon dioxide which is effect shrouds The planet from losing heat like a giant blanket.
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours
Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon.

There are four big moons that with binoculars you can see, Discovered in 1619 by Galileo Galilei.
Io has volcanoes, heated by the friction of its tides
And Europa's is covered in ice with an ocean inside
Ganymede is the largest moon we know exist
And Callisto's covered in craters from the asteroid it hits
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours
Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon.
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours
Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon.
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours
Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon.
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars They're the first four planets rocky like ours
Jupiter saturn Uranus and neptune, they're made of hydrogen helium gas, like a balloon.

10 years ago? Wow.
Now it's 11.
Heres the song
The Sun is the center of our Solar System.
As a giant ball of plasma it's pretty hard to miss him.
In its 30 million degree center, you would see,
hydrogen fuse into helium and release energy.
Magnetic fields cause solar flares and Coronal Mass Ejections,
And particles from these bursts damage electronic connections.
It's 100 times as wide as Earth, and 93 million miles far.
And despite all of this it's just an averaged-sized star.
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars
They're the first four planets, rocky like ours.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
They're made of hydrogen and helium gas, like a balloon!
Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun,
and as such takes the least time to run
around its orbit, its year is only 88 earth days,
and the solar wind mean that little gas stays
on its rocky surface, barren and full of craters,
with no atmosphere its temperature waivers
from 800 fahrenheit to minus 300 at night
but there is still some ice in craters away from light.
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars
They're the first four planets, rocky like ours.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
They're made of hydrogen and helium gas, like a balloon!
Venus is the second planet from the sun,
it's the same size as earth … give or take some.
Venus is covered in a thick layer of clouds
made of carbon dioxide which in effect shrouds
the planet from losing heat like a giant blanket
so its 900 degrees due to the greenhouse effect.
It's covered with volcanoes, and is shaped by their powers
and the only probes that have ever landed died within 2 hours.
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars
They're the first four planets, rocky like ours.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
They're made of hydrogen and helium gas, like a balloon!
The Earth is the third planet from the Sun
… I gotta feeling you're familiar with this one.
It's the only planet known to have had life in its history.
Though just how life started is still a bit of a mystery.
4 Billion years ago two protoplanets collided.
and our moon was formed when collision debris united.
Earth’s in the Goldilocks zone, not too hot nor too cold
For liquid water to exists and life as we know it to take hold
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars
They're the first four planets, rocky like ours.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
They're made of hydrogen and helium gas, like a balloon!
Mars is the fourth planet from the sun.
And it's the place where our voyage to other planets has begun.
Its surface is covered with red iron oxide.
And much of its atmosphere was blown away with no magnetic field inside.
Early astronomers saw canals everywhere.
And they thought perhaps aliens had put them there.
Thanks to Telescopes, Orbiters and Rovers we now know
That there are no such alien canals, although
Rivers, deltas, volcanoes and canyons abound
There's little water left, but life on Mars may still be found.
So we send spacecraft there, like Curiosity
To try and understand Mars' geologic history.
Between the inner planets and outer planets there are
Billions of asteroids orbiting in a belt around our star.
sometimes they are knocked out of their stable orbit
And a few might collide with earth if they don't avoid it.
Why's the belt? Well it has to do with Jupiter, you see.
It pulls on the belt with its massive gravity
Preventing asteroids from forming into another planet.

This makes me wanna be a space scientist. It feels so relaxing and nostalgic and every time a planet is described it actually goes with it and for the most part, I cannot let go of watching this. I am just having the right to be sure that you make a song about each of these in singular videos :)

Thanks!
Matt, me also, in science class, me and with my friends song this music, those not my friend got A or B, only me and my friend got A+

Learn about me,now.

I love space and know quite a bit actually about space
Space is so awesome
I've seen this song a year ago. This song is 3 years older than me, yet it would probably be one of my favorite one. Not only it's educational, it also a fun to listen to!

I remembered I was 5 and used to play this song over and over again. This is the reason why I love the solar system so much. Great job to who wrote this song!

This screams nostalgia, and for a planet geek like me, this is super cool!
U still alive
This is unreal, why is this so CATCHY?
I'm so glad I finally found this again, I remember when I was like 8, just putting it on repeat, mindlessly singing along to it, and sometimes the karaoke version. I still remember some lyrics to this day o;
Mercury Venus Earth and Mars there the first four planets ROCKY LIKE OURS!!!
Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune They’re made of hydrogen and helium gas, like a balloon!!
