I have relatives in Taichung so I ride bike share there a lot. Flat city which is nice. Buses are super cheap for retired folks like us, $3 from Taichung to Taipei. Transit in Taiwan is super convenient and cheap. Cost like Bangkok quality like Japan. Wow.
Hmm, from the footage it seems like you guys only passed by the edges of the night market, there’s much more next to the university! Not that you need to go in because the food you tried seems very good, too.
Ask for half sugar, half ice in your bubble teas like the locals. Use English and a hand gesture and they will understand. Else you end up with a full sugar, full iced drink.

We thought it felt a bit small considering it’s supposed to the largest but we couldn’t see any other vendors. We will need a guide next time!

一堆機車在夜市橫衝直撞 台灣超可悲 明明可以封路鋪地磚做成純行人徒步區 硬要人車共行看起來比越南泰國還破爛落後 好噁心的台灣 空有高昂發達的人均收入和世界領先的科技產業 生活水準跟第三世界國家一樣糟糕 一堆短視近利貪圖方便不願意改變的攤販跟機車騎士 還有過於民主的政府不願說服人民改變 可憐
