Great video, I went there in October, theres also a small greenhouse that also very humid and has massive lily pads in it, along with some nepenthes hanging from above, one of them was 'bloody marry' I think.
Oh that must be the “Lilly house”. It was closed for the winter unfortunately but I did have a peak inside, no Lilly’s and didn’t think to look for nepenthes 😢 maybe next time
i remember going for a school trip, it was kinda boring until we did a test on the giant leafs where someone stood under it and the staff sprayed a bottle of water on top and it fell all around my classmate
@TheFlytrapGarden >>> FWIW, this vid reminded me of something: I moved to N.E. North Carolina, USA from S.E. Florida, USA in 1995. I was serving in the US Coast Guard at the time. A few months after moving to North Carolina, I went on a week-long USCG deployment to Puerto Rico. A while after arriving there, it hit me: I MISSED SEEING PALM TREES. Florida has palm trees all over the place. I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, and my parent's property had two palm trees in the front yard. Here in N.E. NC it gets too cold for most breeds of palm trees to survive. I have 'adopted' NC as my home. The WRIGHT BROTHERS NATIONAL MEMORIAL is about an hour's drive away, and being the AVIATION NUT that I am I LOVE that. However, I will always miss seeing palm trees just a bit.
Such a wild ride! I felt like all was lost by like 5 mins in and 10 mins I was almost devastated, go back one day and make another video, however short it is!
@@TheFlytrapGarden I've been well. I start a new job next week so I'm excited about that. There's nothing like family. I don't know what I would do without my sister.
