The late philospher Robert Anton Wilson covered this field in detail in 1983. It was summarised in the excellent book 'Prometheus Rising' . Well worth tracking down.

His ancestor was a famous and highly regarded classical composer who wrote many symphonies, concertos, and operas during the Classical period in the 18th century. The composer came from a musical family and showed prodigious talent from a young age, composing complex works as a child prodigy. He went on to have a prolific career writing masterpieces that are still performed and beloved worldwide today. His innovative and pioneering compositions helped shape and define the Classical style. He left behind an impressive artistic legacy and significantly influenced later generations of composers.

While pronunciation may vary, what really matters is the connection and the person behind the name. Who knows, there might be unexpected connections and shared interests that go beyond just a family name. It's wonderful that you feel a sense of admiration for Thomas and wish to be related to him. Sometimes, the bonds we create with others can be just as meaningful as blood relations.

I really like Joscha Bach; it was a real pleasure to see him for the first time back then with Lex. I always enjoy listening to him.
From minute 16:44: It's an interesting idea to think about how a society would look if the fear of standing out were eliminated, where people just wore clothes that they felt expressed their personality. In terms of various costumes. The society would definitely be more colorful and interesting. What would be the disadvantages? Or would it be beneficial and also a sign of a more mature, confident, and fearless society?
We also see it in the pale cars and the monotonous colors of functional clothing. Peer pressure? Ironically, a man talks about how it's a shame that people no longer show off through stylish fashion and expression (Joscha Bach), and he's wearing a black sweater. ;-)
this is such a neat concept which from an egocentric pov really satisfies your own need to explain yourself why you dont (want to) belong to group x
It's strange we spend so much brain glucose contemplating things like this when we live in what is apparently a fully deterministic universe. I often think we are simply a four or more dimensional painting of knowledge through time.

I agree 100% with Joscha. Regulations/safety code for AI and LLMs should be removed (he didn't say this, but i'm inferring). Morality is built from the bottom up, not top down. If an AGI singularity occurs we have to trust in our training data (parenting)

When he talked about stage 3 and how he was a nerd that totally resonate with me. I had friends in high school but it was not until uni when i felt like i was able to truly connect with others. Its like i was just faking it in high school.

I think it is a well understood group psychology phenomenon. It is very important to be able to think independently, be humane, kind and humble, and be reasonable.
