I know this because of family experience.

About the lays and walkers situation, lays bought the company walkers, and to show it they changed the logo, but because it was in the U.K., they didn’t want to change the walkers name, so it’s the same logo and different name. Nothing changed except the logo.
You’re only saying that to sound quirky let’s be honest, the U.K version is super depressing and doesn’t have nearly a cast that is as likable as in the U.S’ version of the office.
@@DaManWithDaStuff well the US one doesn't have as good jokes Brits are known for comedy that's why the most famous comedians are British and the American one isn't as relatable the British one is set as an actual office with actual people the American one doesn't feel as relatable
@@probuddy221 ( hey man, I hope this reply isn’t too long) I wouldn’t say that the British are known for their humor, as much as they’re known for a particular style of humor, the dry, sarcastic, sometimes pessimistic type of humor. There’s this misconception that this type of humor is wittier or smarter than the U.S’ style of humor, a style that many people think is raunchy or loud, but that’s just U.S comedy at its worst. At its best, American comedy perfectly combines humor with endearing characters, that undergo development and ultimately, go trough very emotional character arcs. Essentially the humor in American comedy comes from the fact that these people are put in a very normal environment, but manage to get themselves in very outlandish situations, but at the same time, they’re making memories and have fondness for each other. This is why I feel that this type of humor fits the style of the office better, because they’re office workers that have relationships and aspirations, so you wanna see them make you laugh, but also succeed in life (there’s some form of conflict at times) it’s like saying, “they might be weirdos, but they’re my weirdos”. Don’t get me wrong, I love British Comedy, I just feel like it doesn’t fit the style of the office at all, the humor in British comedy comes from a comparison between the expectations vs the reality of a situation. It’s the opposite of American Comedy in the sense that it visualizes situations that should be very crazy and almost fantastical, but has them play out in very comically boring and awkward fashion. Shaun of the Dead is my favorite example of this, it starts off as a regular zombie apocalypse, but it ends with the military getting rid of basically every single zombie, while having the rest do basic chores for humans, (honorable mention to the Monty python movies too). The reason it works here is because it’s funny to see cinema tropes be crushed by the sad reality of life, but when you try doing the same thing with office workers, it falls flat because you can’t subject it to any expectations that we don’t have already. Office life isn’t fun nor exciting , and if you add the fact that most characters in the British version of the office never really achieve their goals, it just feels depressing and unnecessarily unrewarding.
@@SteakIsDictatorNotSigma well it's not relatable the British one is and also your a small minority of Americans beucase most Americans say that British comedy is the best

LAYS WERE WALKERS FIRST! sorry love you Americans!
The UK didn’t change the name of walkers, USA did- walkers were made before lays
In terms of history, Walkers was founded in Leicester, England, in 1948 by Henry Walker, while Lays originated from Nashville, Tennessee, in 1932 by Herman W Lay. Both brands have gained huge popularity over time to become household names today.

As an Irishman, the only reason why I would dislike a Brit more than an American is while an American insults you, for half the time he hasn't clue what he himself is talking about, while a Brit is usually fully aware on what he's saying to you and is calculating accordingly on what words would be most impactful.
I know this because of family experience.
Bro stop acting as if all British people have some undying hatred against Irish people. You are a person, and so am I, we are equal.
Edit: and what is this "family experience" you speak of? Because I am fully positive that I am not responsible for whatever happened. Same country, different people.
As an American who has ancestry from the British isles I consider this an L we should unite under one banner and dominate the world like we used to

Nope, born and raised in Britain.
About the lays and walkers situation, lays bought the company walkers, and to show it they changed the logo, but because it was in the U.K., they didn’t want to change the walkers name, so it’s the same logo and different name. Nothing changed except the logo.

The UK office is so much more funny and actually relatable
You’re only saying that to sound quirky let’s be honest, the U.K version is super depressing and doesn’t have nearly a cast that is as likable as in the U.S’ version of the office.
@@DaManWithDaStuff well the US one doesn't have as good jokes Brits are known for comedy that's why the most famous comedians are British and the American one isn't as relatable the British one is set as an actual office with actual people the American one doesn't feel as relatable
@@probuddy221 ( hey man, I hope this reply isn’t too long)
I wouldn’t say that the British are known for their humor, as much as they’re known for a particular style of humor, the dry, sarcastic, sometimes pessimistic type of humor.
@@probuddy221The British are the worst at comedy. American Office solos the top five shows in the world

Completely disagree on “The Office”.
The US one is schlock. Good schlock, but still schlock.
The UK version is a perfect self-sustaining masterpiece.
Lays and Walkers were both started in the 1940's, however in the late 1990's both brands adopted the same logo design as they were both owned by PepsiCo and the crisps were very similar
Fun fact: famous footballer Gary Lineker is the face of Walkers in the UK, Gary was one of Leicester City's greatest ever players and the Walkers headquarters and main factory is located in Leicester so the team up made sense
