  • Then we are at the final chapter 5, sailing the last miles towards back home to Haugesund. On my way I visited the beatiful island of Foula, west of Shetland before crossing the North Sea back home again.
Its been together a 2400 NM trip for a 5 weeks sail. And after this 6 months of constant editing to get these 5 videoes done. Ive learned alot on the way and I cant wait to use this knowledge in my next expedition wich will be revealed in my next video.
I really hope you have enjoyed this saga around the Norwegian Sea, and I hope Ive inspired you to see what is possible both sailwise and videowise, beeing all alone about everything.
    Until next time!

My sailing adventures pale in comparison Erik, but something that we do share in common is that sad feeling on arrival back home. There is an instant desire to cast off lines again on another challenge. You are absolutely right that sailing is good for body and mind. Looking forward to the next expedition!

I have a simple shower idea to share with you that is so simple and awesome. I learned this from another cruiser many years ago, take an empty two-litre plastic laundry detergent bottle, drill about 12 small holes in the lid, and one small breather hole in the handle. That' it. Half fill with cold water and then add another litre of hot water from the kettle. Tip over your head and wet down. Then put aside, soap up and then rinse off with the leftover water. Job done. Works every time! No moving parts or power needs! Best shower ever!

I usually take a month off every spring and hit the road with my truck camper and my boat. Staying and fishing in remote places. When I get back the first few days feel surreal. It's like two people are living inside of me. In 5 more weeks the other person gets to take the wheel again. I can't wait. This has been a long winter with way too much work and monotony. Great video Erik. Thanks for sharing.
