The drilling is not quite so easy on a 2021. There is high tensile steel under the rain channel. You will need a carbide masonry type drill to make the hole. It is a real struggle. The steel is hard!!
I ran into this same issue today on my 2019! The hardened steel is on the front portion of the roof. Probably why the drilling in the video was only shown on the rear. It would have been useful to mention this information in the installation video. I should have done better research. If you’re going to DIY install get some carbide bits and an extra carbide 17/32 drill bit, you’ll save yourself a lot of frustration.
I love this rack but how come you guys designed it with only 4 mounting feet? That's doesn't seem like good weight distribution across the roof. Can I add more if I wanted?

No, this is only designed to fit the 2011-2021 WK2 model.
Is gas mileage severely affected?
There will be some effect as you are changing the aerodynamics of the vehicle, but it's not drastic in our experience.
Is this the same install for a 2011 Laredo?
What is the weight rating of this? Can I support a 160 lb roof tent? I drive a 2014 Grand Cherokee.
Dynamic (road) weight rating is 200lbs. Static and jarring off-road weight limits are at your discretion.
