With regards to whether or not its ok to abandon a level: Finally watched a SimpleFlips video, he spent 2 hours looking for red coins in an uncleared level and fell asleep on the autoscroll. Great entertainer he is!
Christ I remember my first Jad attempt. Took 3 hours to get to him, when he spawned I started sweating bullets and my heart was going 120 a minute... missed the first pray switch and got one-shot lmao
Honestly just gotta get out of your head to do it. Just look at the safe spots for when he spawns and listen for audio cues to know the first prayer. Then just stay out of melee range and switch when he attacks. Took me three trys to get my first one but after that it’s more terrifying getting through the other rounds like Simple said.
i actually tried recently the first attempt i was still getting into rhythm when i spawned the healers and couldnt recover. the second time i tried to incorperate dealing with the healers but it was still a lot. the third(and currently final attempt) in wave 61 i ran through the 360(trying to kite the 2 meleers) and he hit like a 43 and downed me.
Gamma Net if you want to deal with the healers most people just attack them once and get aggro then just focus on Jad. I honestly just tank the healers because I usually have at least 4 or 5 brews and tons of restores left. I also use Blowpipe or Arma cbow for the most part because it does everything you need.
Ricky Gillett it’s just a lot to watch jad. Manage prayer. Manage health and also try to click a healer. And like it’s said. Every failure is another really really boring 90 minutes to try again.

That last level, god fucking damn. I have mad respect for the guy who came up with it, and think we need to conceive a new capital punishment specifically for this individual. Sitting through that same shit for a goddamn hour must've been heartbreaking, I'm glad you managed to clear it through all that, though, that level in particular deserves extra thanks, thank you for putting up with the kind of psychopaths who make Mario Maker levels, and props to the editors, all (can't check description anymore because I watch videos and make comments on mobile) two editors, Maff and Nowan. Mrab and Wowen? Grath and Goblin. Those guys.

I usual make hard levels but I just wanted to try to make something easy for the player mostly for my super world and yet this level is unclear still, huh.
@@Loskythecopydog77 It's an interesting idea when you explain it here, but you're working in the limited medium of Mario Maker 2 where you can't explain your level concept in text paragraphs. Levels need to be constructed in an interesting way that guide the player exclusively with the level-making tools you're given (and the level description, I suppose, but how much space is really there for text explanations?). I'm not trying to be mean dude, but not everything we make is gonna be 100% amazing and loved by everyone - it goes for everything in life, including mario maker. There are good and bad parts of your level, and if you look critically at why Simple/players found it uninteresting or whatever and take that to heart, your work will only improve in the future.

I was listening to this as background noise while playing Minecraft, and looked over to watch at 23:41, went back to Minecraft and almost booked it straight into fire to make myself take damage so I could fit through the gap that Simple needed to squeeze through. Great entertainer he is.
That firecape bit was perfect. Jad is not hard or scary alone, but an 30-60 minutes of build up makes it scary because you dont want to do that again / lose your slayer task right at the last moment.

Hi simpleflips the Mario maker 2 troll level community is actually very large and many of the creators make some absolutely amazing levels. The levels will psychologically torment you and they are funny to play. Give em a chance in a level you wont regret it.
You were definitely supposed to see that weird checkpoint under the launchers when you went by. Then it wouldn't have been so long and it would have been obvious to avoid cp2 after the text said cp2 bad. Still weird that you have to randomly excavate there though.

The reason why you avoid softlocks even if you haven't yet given the player a checkpoint is that if they are in the mindset of resetting every time they get softlocked, they might forget to stop doing that after getting a checkpoint.
