This is in fact the first appearance of Condiment King, yet another S-tier character created for this show!
I’m glad they were finally able to ketchup on this character.
Ugh, I can't Mustard that Character.
I, for one, relish his gimmick
He mayo be the most unique addition to the show.
Crime in Gotham can't escape his pickling gaze, Condiment King always dill-ivers.
I unironically love Condiment King. You need these kind of throwaway jobbers in addition to the heavy hitters in the rogue's gallery. They did that beautifully here juxtaposing this loser with the Joker.
They actually went and made him a real villain in the comics. lol
What I like about the Condiment King is that he's just a tragic byproduct of Gotham. In this, he's a victim of mind control and a pawn. In Batgirl: Year One, he's just a guy who's snapped and thinks he's a supervillain. He's not a significant threat to anyone (unless they're allergic) and is really in more trouble than he's causing. He really just needs help. Subsequent interpretations that have portrayed him as just a small time crook or wannabe supervillain loser kind of miss the point. The Condiment King isn't a villain. He's collateral damage.
So you all have now encountered the greatest criminal of all-time. "The Prince of Pickles, The Sultan of Sauce, The Conceptual Condiment King".
Condiment King is one of the most hilarious characters I've ever seen & this episode has been one of my personal favorites since I was a kid. Condiment King deserves more love in Batman media.
This is a classic Joker story. Yes, he has bigger or grander plots, but sometimes he just has minor silly plots like this one. He doesn't always need to be monster clown that tries to get the highest body count.
Make Em Laugh is the song from the musical "Singing in the Rain"
The Joker using a microchip attached to the victim's neck to wildly alter their personality...what an interesting concept. 🤔
For Arrowverse there's a brief reference in Batwoman. "Condiment King was mentioned as a villain defeated by Batman who confiscated his condiment-gun soon after. "
Honestly i kinda miss when Joker could just have some very convoluted plot to gain something as unimportant as some trophy. Dude is insane, of course he will sometimes just want something stupid, and i think its also why he is such a great enemy for Batman because he might cause mayhem and destruction without any "good" reason and create plots that cannot be prevented or predicted by anybody who follows logic. In a way it makes him more chaotic and dangerous villain than somebody who always have a big plan to uncover the truth about society/humanity/whatever
'It's gonna be one of those nights' -Batman, master of understatement
Naturally a very silly comedy-focused episode, though it does make me think about a motivation Joker is sometimes given in stories (including The Dark Knight) where he pushes other people towards mental breakdowns, hoping that they'll become villains so he doesn't feel so alone. All it takes is One Bad Day... or one mind control chip.
Pretty sure the female comedian was intended to be Roseanne Barr.
Yes, it's Roseanne. I came to the comments just to say this same thing 😂
I was really surprised to learn that Condiment King is from here and not from the Adams West 60’s Batman show. I mean, I know that’s kinda what they’re referencing, but still Condiment King really feels like he’s been around longer than the Animated Show.
Is time for the condiment king
YES! the condiment king!
You forgot that Condiment King appear in Harley Quinn season 1 as he was Kite Man "nemesis"!
The food segment was funny
He hath doth returned.
I love how they still let him hold the trophy as The Joker is being hauled away.
Y’all were arguing about arguing I love it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The current McFarlane toys build a figure for Batman The Animated Series figures is a Condiment King. :)
Calvin: If you have your hand on a pillow, and you smash it with a hammer, does it actually hurt?
Answer: Yes. Most definitely. Yes.
Condiment King is my liege, and HOT DOGS ARE A SANDWICH!
What a perfect birthday gift!
Check out thepandaredd's "Condiment King Dark/Arkham version"
Every time I hear someone ask something like "is a hot dog a sandwich?" all I hear is "is food a food?"
This episode always reminded me what Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker is based off of. comics might’ve done it first though not sure.
This is a top tier episode and a top tier thumbnail hats off to the editor lol
I hope you all can do Superman TAS and Justice League/Unlimited. Much more over arching stories and continuity.
blindwave met the goat known as condiment king
Makes me wonder why Condiment King never appeared in the Batman 60s show. Saw every episode of that and not once, did he at least appear in the adapted comics? (continuation of the 60s show). Mighty Mom...this was like way before the Fairly Odd Parents.
He was created specifically for this episode of the animated series.
@@infamousprime694 shoot always assumed he was an old school villain like Egghead or King Tut.
@@schowd31 He was purposely inspired by that show's silly villains. :)
Ketchup is definitely better on a hot dog
I do not want to get sprayed by hot sauce
Hi guys! I just made an Account on your Website and I was wondering how do I make aan Reccomendation?
The National Hot Dog Counsel says never use Ketchup on Hot Dogs.
Fuck the National Hot Dog Counsel.
Big government tyranny
Only 8 more weeks to go 😞 this series flew! 💜
Well they still have to the new Batman adventure 😊
@@batmanvideogamesi wonder if they'll do Superman the animated series first because Supergirl is in an episode of The New Batman Adventures.
These "season 2" episodes have been incredibly hit or miss. Emphasis on miss.
