Welcome to my first time playing Call of Duty: World at War.
Call of Duty is back, redefining war like you've never experienced before. Building on the Call of Duty 4®: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War immerses players into the most gritty and chaotic WWII combat ever experienced. Players band together to survive the most harrowing and climactic battles that led to the demise of the Axis powers on the European and Pacific fronts. The title offers an uncensored experience with unique enemies and combat variety, including Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks, Banzai charges and cunning cover tactics, as well as explosive on-screen action through the all new four-player cooperative campaign. The addictive competitive multiplayer has also been enhanced with new infantry and vehicle-based action, a higher level cap, more weapons, and a host of new Perks, maps and challenges.

This was back when COD had balls and told the gruesome horrifying truth of war
The most brutal and realistic Call of Duty that shows the horrors of war.
Realistic? Not at all, gory cartoon-ish cod game? Hell yeah
@icebreaker4354 the brutality of it is accurate as well as how gory it is. Its obviously not 100% accurate but there a historian that looks over clips of this game and actually gives an accurate scaling of how accurate this game is can't remember what he gave it though 😵💫
@@icebreaker4354wrong that’s mw2 2022 this is as realistic as cod will ever be and actually has an emphasis on brutality and the horror of front line combat and that is not cartoonish at all now if you mean it looks cartoony well the game is like 15 years old so what do you expect
insurgency sandstorm more brutal than mw2022@@Sp3cial0ffic3rD00fy
@@icebreaker4354Bullshit
It's right that you play this part, because this is partly the backstory of the Black Ops series
Hi Jonesy! This is probably my favorite cod game ever! Because it is one of the most realistic war games ever especially as WWII was one of the most brutal times ever in human history! 😭
One of the best CODs imo. I hope you're enjoying it so far. Good luck with the rest of your playthrough.
This game is defo a surprise that's for sure!!
Enjoying it so far 😊
Unapologetically, World at war has, without a doubt, the best campaign in the series! Unlike other cod games that seem to make us enjoy war in a Hollywood way, WaW never glorified it. Everything feels real, mature and respectful. Taking the mechanics of the original 3 games and adding realistic violence made this game one of the best ww2 shooters and put Treyarch on the map as they still go strong today. Also I know that it might be weird for some, but you are playing as the Russians and this game portrays them in a very respectful way. I know that people in the west do not like the Russians nor do they want to understand them, but thankfully I come from a country that has a similar history. It's because of the Russians and their heroic sacrifice that countries like mine were freed. Out of the 60 million people that gave their lives in ww2 , 20 million of those are Russians. That's why like them we never forget.
usa defeated the japanese, but the russians defeated the nazis
@austinzeagler2460 Exactly thank you.
@@austinzeagler2460Without American lend lease, the eastern front would have gone differently, or at least been much more of a stalemate.
You’re becoming a veteran at these games, you can be like uncle Albert now and annoy your friends and family with your “during the war” stories 😂
😂😂😂 Brilliant
Lmao 😂
Hey Jonesy I’m glad you’re going down the black ops rabbit hole, all i can say is you are going to enjoy it and Im glad Im going to be part of it. Have a great rest of your day
I've had the privilege of visiting the Marshall Islands' Majuro atoll on a medical mission. The contrast of the calm inner lagoon vs. the unrestrained Pacific on the outside. It's a gorgeous and unique place, but I can't imagine the misery of fighting in all that heat and humidity. Also made me think of my late grandfather who was with the Filipino guerrillas fighting the Japanese and his brother who survived the infamous Bataan Death March.
My fave game of the series as i love WW2 games, excited t see what you think. Also the main voice guy all i will say is 24 lol x
ITs IN the THREE! 😂
wonderful to rewatch, the game of my childhood! 😊
I can’t wait to see you play my all time favorite mission in cod history! “Vendetta”. And meet my favorite cod character ever rivaling Captain Price. ❤️😊.
1 of the best campaigns ever made
This game is my childhood !
7:04 Still loved the the fact that the achievement reference the movie Saving Private Ryan.
This was a horror game, wearing the coat of a WW2 shooter. And I love every single moment of it! ❤
"it maybe goes before modern warfare" I've never been so disappointed in somebody ability to analyze box art of a game and find it obvious what era it is depicting
The storyline for this Call of Duty series goes as World at War -> Black Ops -> Black ops: Cold war ->Black Ops 2
Oh, also, there's Black Ops 3 and 4, but Black Ops 4 doesnt have a story campaign, and Black Ops 3 is... well, it's definetly not worth your time.
If Black Ops Gulf War comes out before she gets to BO2, It will probably be wiser to play that , depending on the story. They blended Cold War pretty good.
@@sowhat249 Ah, thats true. They also blended the Black Ops series with the MW series pretty well.
I didn’t mind this one, Zombies was fun playing with friends. Awesome video 😀
The game that started the Black Ops storyline and Zombies. The main reason COD was big in the golden age
The opening montage always gives me chills.
That was certainly a wild, action packed first episode. Looking forward to checking out the rest of the game. Hope you have a great weekend!
Thank you 😊
I am really excited for this new Playthrough! 😊 This is is definitely proving to be more serious.. definitely setting the tones ect. 😊
Really enjoyed watching, out of all the original cod games this one is still my favorite one its a really good game.
There's a military shooter called Spec ops: the line...I suggest you play it. It's unlike anything you've ever played before
World at War has a special place in my heart as a Call of Duty player, as it was the first game I played in the series, and the one I was recommended to play first. This game is the reason I have the words “TENNO HAIKA BANZAI!” stuck in my head because of the pacific theatre; it does a very good job at showcasing just how bloody crazy, dangerous and frightening the Japanese were in WWII, and are among my favourite missions in the campaign. And that’s just the first course...next time, you’ll be entering the European theatre, which will be where you’ll meet your new best friend.
P.S: Get used to dying to grenades; I remember Treyarch campaigns having a lot of grenades lobbed at you. Though, watching you survive bayonet charges just to running a grenade going off is pretty amusing. Mind those pineapples!
I'm really enjoying this game so far. I love that it COD but is different to MW.
I better get some practice in in throwing those pineapples back 😬
As I'm replaying the older CODs, I'm on World At War(My favorite). Glad I found this channel and excited to watch your Call Of Duty series & other videos! Just subbed! 😁👍
Welcome Jake!
It took me 3 years to finish the game it gets harder and harder nice job❤
Another amazing playthrough Jonesy ❤❤😄😄.
Another great one was Call of Duty 2 and Call Of Duty 3. WW2 classics. But my god World at War was something else, nightmare fuel.
Great gaming Jonesy!
A siiiii el CARLOS OF DUARTE gran juego😂😂😂😂😂😂
I grew up on this game, arguably the best cod game ever
To let you know Jonesy, this cod and the Black Ops series were made by a different company Activision. Not Infinity Ward as they made Modern Warfare. 😊
The best CoD imo. Such a great game. So many memories online ^-^
Cheers
"MILLER! THE MUSIC IN THIS GAME IS FIRE! PASS THE AUX CORD, NOW!"
35:48 "I feel like it's just throw grenades everywhere"
Sounds like my Veteran playthrough, except I was on the receiving end lmao
😂😂😂
I found this over at internet archive and I love it!
Yeah, this Call of Duty installment is pretty much the closest thing to a horror game in this series. Gotta say, I love it.
The only game i can think of that has real footage of a execution in it. I love this games campaign its awesome
I love that jacket from 24 is in this game such a great voice great campaign
oh boy cod waw time this game is legit brutal with lots of gore of like shooting limbs off and exploding them as well.
Jonesy! Welcome to a new series 🫡👏 wait...that should be the other way round 😬
Really loving seeing you dive into this and all of its hectic chaos right from the word go.
This one definitely shares or borrows a lot from the Medal of Honour games, which were my first intro into WW2 FPS I think. This one definitely gets the balance right of drama and spectacle balanced with the horror and the reality, or as much as we civilians could ever understand.
Also, can we get some love for Kiefer? What a great performance.
Have a crackin' day boss.
This is one of the best cod, the trilogy from world at war to black ops 2 is inssane
Another one!? Blyme, someone really is hooked! 😄
Forgot how good this game is. I miss the intensity of older games like this.
I want to let you know Jonesy that I have two grandpas who served in the army back in World War II. One in the European Theater fighting against Germany and one in the Pacific Theater fighting against Japan. But both of them survived and they are still here in 2024. ❤️😊. And yes, my family is a military veteran family. 🙏
thats amazing
Thank you 😊
The M1 Garand rifle was called the greatest battle implement ever created by General Patton, and it’s not hard to see why. It was the only rifle of its kind that was standard issue for any military during the war. Everyone else had bolt action rifles as standard issue.
Last time I played this game was on Veteran difficulty on campaign and it was a nightmare for me but another fantastic campaign hopefully you enjoy the experience Jonesy !! 😃 great videos
Nice work playing on Veteran level!! 🙌
My all time favourite Call of Duty game. They don't make games like this anymore.
Brand new subscriber here!
This game is my favorite call of duty game ! Love your accent and you are beautiful but you already know that!
The true meaning of the horrors of war jonesy another great choice & is that your number one lost boy kiefer Sutherland🤩 take care & sending good vibes to all 🌻🐝💖🙏
Hello.
Un super gameplay bravo 😊
And this game is definitely scary on purpose!
Ahhhh I’m ready to watch this shortly when I’ve made my dinner......this lass is a geezer bird and thats a badge of honour to me, I love her and could sup a couple of beers with her anytime !!!
I love the fact multiplayer is still around for this classic
I love this game! you'll have a blast. friendly fire is totally set up here! goodluck jonesy!
ha thank you!
YES another person playing my favourite campaign game ever. The brutality and accuracy put on this game is insane I loved it.
thank you Mani, hope you enjoy the series
I played call of duty world at war so fun multiplayer is ok
This personally was my favorite ONLINE multiplayer for cod. Just loved the era and the maps... and the GUNS.
I remember playing this game. It was a fun game. There are some historical inaccuracies. Like the Japanese Type 100 submachine gun, there were only a few thousand built during WW2. U.S. troops didn't even encounter the Japanese Type 100 submachine gun until late in WW2.
There are some other historical inaccuracies, but it was a blast to play.
Commander jonesy, reporting for duty 🫡🫡 world at war was one of my favorites
YAY! Please Continue 😊
Definitely my favourite cod campaign so nostalgic. ;)
Its so much fun!
Excellent work soldier! 😎👍
Never got around to playing this one. Love the "Saving Private Ryan" reference. Good film.
The nostalgia.. played this when I was like 13 I’m 26 now 🥲
World at War was my first CoD and it’s still in my top 3 favorite CoD games. It’s one of the more brutal ones but still a great gameplay and a decent enough story. Hope you have as much fun with it as I did back in the day!
Thanks Eddy, I'm loving it so far!
That’s the best call of duty of all times the legend the put thata zombies on the map and the multiplayer to
Awesome episode, Jonesy. I didn't know if I played this game, I don't think I have. Very hectic game and darker, I think, because this is an actual war. Can't wait to see where else it takes us. Cheers ❤
Its super fun, I would defo recommend it!
I know I've said this many times haha, but this game like the others you played, was addictive when you were bored back in the day 😄
World at war was my favourite game.
This game brings back a lot of memories of when I was younger. I hope you enjoy the game, Jonesy!
Thank you, I'm loving it so far 😊
there was some big named voice actors in this one too, Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Oldman being the main ones.
"theres booby traps in this one?!"
hehe... "booby" - yes I'm a child 🤣
God this was such an amazing game, I miss old school COD sooo much, excellent video btw 🥰
Ah thanks fern.
If you're able you should defo replay these games. 🙌
@@JonesySpaceCat you're very welcome!
And y'know what? I think I will! I just got the platinum trophy on Assassin's Creed Mirage, so I could use another game! 😁
DO IT!!! 😈
(no friendly fire though)
Treyarch saga is absolutely amazing! Take this sub
I remember buying this game at a Sears for $29. Didn't know if I was going to like it like other FPS games. Turned out I did, played last year on my ps3.
I always wondered how did Activision get the footage from WWII? They must’ve ask someone in the archives to get it. 🤨
Back then? Probably. Today though, you can look up a lot of the footage itself on RUclips, archivial websites that deal with film roles, or even the National Archives themselves has posted several WWII pieces of media online for anyone to view.
I recognize many clips from the game. Several snippets of film actually do show the Battle of Peleliu, which could be reason why they decided to feature it in the game (though I think they were really trying to draw their influence from the book “With the Old Breed” by Eugene Sledge, the same Sledge depicted in the HBO miniseries, the Pacific.) They also sprinkle in footage of the Battle of Tarawa and other battles as well.
Hands down the best campaign in the COD series! Especially the Soviet missions!
That was so refreshing and memorable, you are technically a legend and that grenade kill was interesting, they tried to make the game more grounded and realistic in this one but that compass is a killer. Tips: none, maybe next, love u jonesy
Thank you Ashton 😊
Also you want to talk about voice acting? This game has the best voice acting in the series. Just to give you an idea of the talent present, you got Kiefer Sutherland as Roeback and the big one, the legend himself Gary, I can do any accent, freaking Oldman as Viktor Reznov. He is the second best character in the series.
I cant believe it has such a great cast!!
Amazing!
@@JonesySpaceCat Call of duty has some of the best voice actors and actors from any game.
Cant Wait for you to play Black Ops 2, for me the greatest Call Of Duty game
👍
My favorite CoD
I played this (call of duty) on ps2 and Xbox 360 as well.
Easily one of my favourite campaigns. It’s unapologetically brutal and really gets into the nightmare that was the Second World War.
This is one of the best cod games. I like American campaign!
Ah, pretty sure I died of the exact same things when I played this for the first time more than a decade ago :)
BANZAI!
😊💖 Jonesy and pretty.
Much a surprise! I played this way back in 2012 of the ps3 days. I had some haters downstairs at that time who got annoyed by it. 🤣🤣 Last time i played was 2016 due to being more busier. It truly showed the brutality of world war ll though often this era of war is more popular then world war l.
This was borderline a horror game and also one of the best ones to ever exist. This was basically the start of the modern CoDs.
World at War was and still is one of the darkest and bloodiest Call of Duty games ever made.
That saving private Ryan achievement is such a meme 😂
nice. can't wait for black ops 1
I'm looking forward to this one. While not heavy on story, it's one of the most gruesome WW2 experiences out there. No other WW2 game truly captures the horror and brutality of the war the way this game did.
Hope you enjoyed it Tyrannoid
Btw did you know there's a 'cheat' in Little Resistance? As you go up the beach you will see three puddles from right to left. From the right, step on the first two puddles for about 5 seconds each, then step on the last puddle on the far left until your screen shakes violently and a weird Japanese voice speaks. Statues will appear holding a laser gun in their mouth. It's a secret easter egg added to the game and it's very powerful, it can even destroy those tanks at the end! 😂
Also there are three type 99 machine guns lying in the front of the first MG nest, I suggest you ditch your garand for those, they are more fun to use and it mows down enemies faster.
W recommendation RUclips
😊😊thanks
😮deeeeeertoooo.
hi hold down the trigger for full auto fire mode plus pull the trigger faster for the m1 garad for faster shots
One of the best cod alongside BO2
OOOooo.... This is a GOOD one.
Enjoy it Jonesy!! ❤
thanks blow
I like the video
