So fucking amazing!! I'm so excited for this Saturday night!!! I finally get the chance to see MGK live in concert here in Vancouver just a mere 7 blocks from where I live. My only regret is that I have not managed to save my wife from the insidiously evil monster who has been drugging her since December of 2020. He has been using the devil's breath. It's a mind control drug used by thieves and rapists to prey upon unsuspecting women that basically eliminates their free will. Even with the drug and with me bed ridden by a life threatening leg infection it still took him almost 7 months to poison her against me to the point where she threw me out of our apartment, and a week later moved him in under the pretense that she needed him there to protect her from me. Anyone who knows me knows what a ridiculous crock of shit that whole idea is. I would never lay a hand on her in anger. As a matter of fact I don't think I raised my voice to her even once in the whole time we were together. I still love her with all of my heart even though she has ended every letter, text or email that she has sent me since September with Fuck off and go kill yourself. She has written those words to me more than 50 times. At first those words hurt more than you can possibly imagine but the more times she wrote it the more I realized that those words were coming from him and not from her. The one saving grace and the one bit of Joy I've had in my life in over a year is the fact that every time she sees me for a split second less than half a second her eyes light up in her face almost begins to smile and then the programming clamps down and she looked at me with hatred and fear and derision and has acid on her tongue when she talks to me and it rips my heart out every fucking time. So Colson, if you could dedicate Saturday night's show to Cassandra, Cassandra Elkin, it would mean the world to me. And maybe one day, it could mean the world to her too. MGK has something that most people dont and cant have and I can't exactly pinpoint what it is but something about the way he spits his lyrics. Comes out raw. He's probably been through and lived through a hell that most of us couldn't even fathom. He's lived, been at rock bottom and I can see that. Any talented rapper can read the same verse but cant deliver what MGK has. And to me, that is his spirit and heart. Imo a music video conveys a very powerful message sometimes, and maybe Kells felt that if he only used part of the song it would reinforce the message, as opposed to using the whole song, which may not fit into the theme of the video. MGK has been the most legit rapper/rock singer since he first came out. Eminem looses alot of credibility calling him a mumble rapper. MGK is one of the last best rappers of this generation.
I thought that at first too, but I think Em just had an inside track on Binge. Right after he says that he drops shit where he's not enunciating and slurring out words in a lazy ass flow, all mumble signatures. MGK been legit, but Binge most certainly wasn't.
Meme Iselfaneye I see what you're saying. Maybe he decided to fit in with the times since people have slept on his legit lyricism in the past. He said in that Breakfast Club interview how one of the reasons he responded to Em was because he STARTED OUT as real or straight hip hop so like he did it for the culture. So yeah he could be fitting in with today's rap culture or is influenced by it. That's funny how some people think he's one of these SoundCloud rappers that just came out recently. So he might gain new TEEN TO 20 year old fans off this EP like he's gained new fans in general from this beef.
Yeah, I could see people making that mistake with how underground he is, with Binge being their first major exposure after Rap Devil. I'm just hoping it was experimental, and not a new direction. While he's always been kind of shit at hooks (Rap Devil included), I'm a fan of his verses and flow, and would hate to see his solid lyricism squandered on half-assed tracks and a weak delivery.

Imo a music video conveys a very powerful message sometimes, and maybe Kells felt that if he only used part of the song it would reinforce the message, as opposed to using the whole song, which may not fit into the theme of the video. I agree it sucks that it's not the whole song but I think that's why he did it.

The hook (which typical diss tracks....do not have) was clearly taken from another unreleased song. It made literally zero sense and had nothing to do with the context of the track.
The only people who consider Rap Devil a better diss track don't understand the concept of what makes a diss track a diss track. I'll agree it's a better song....because Killshot is a diss track, not a song.

MGK has been the most legit rapper/rock singer since he first came out. Eminem looses alot of credibility calling him a mumble rapper. MGK is one of the last best rappers of this generation.
I thought that at first too, but I think Em just had an inside track on Binge. Right after he says that he drops shit where he's not enunciating and slurring out words in a lazy ass flow, all mumble signatures. MGK been legit, but Binge most certainly wasn't.
Meme Iselfaneye I see what you're saying. Maybe he decided to fit in with the times since people have slept on his legit lyricism in the past. He said in that Breakfast Club interview how one of the reasons he responded to Em was because he STARTED OUT as real or straight hip hop so like he did it for the culture. So yeah he could be fitting in with today's rap culture or is influenced by it. That's funny how some people think he's one of these SoundCloud rappers that just came out recently. So he might gain new TEEN TO 20 year old fans off this EP like he's gained new fans in general from this beef.
Yeah, I could see people making that mistake with how underground he is, with Binge being their first major exposure after Rap Devil. I'm just hoping it was experimental, and not a new direction. While he's always been kind of shit at hooks (Rap Devil included), I'm a fan of his verses and flow, and would hate to see his solid lyricism squandered on half-assed tracks and a weak delivery.
