      here's what I need to see at the opening of the Classic Monsters land:
      1) Ricou Browning is the Guest of Honor for the Grand Opening; he played the Gill-Man in all three Creature from the Black Lagoon movies (the swimming sequences, anyway); he's also the last living actor to have played one of the Classic Monsters
      2) a larger than life statue dedicated to Lon Chaney, Jr.; not as any character, but the man himself. He was in 10 UCM movies, more than any other actor -- five as Larry Talbot, the Wolf Man; once as Frankenstein's Monster; three times as Kharis, the Mummy; and once as Count Dracula (technically his son, but the title was passed down). He's the only actor to have played all of the "Big Four" monsters
      3) a smaller statue dedicated to Dwight Frye, to serve as a tribute to the various character actors who played supporting roles across multiple movies; he's most famous as Renfield in "Dracula" and Fritz in "Frankenstein", but he also had an uncredited role as a reporter in "The Invisible Man", and bit parts in four of the Frankenstein sequels (two of which were just uncredited villagers)
      4) Franchises and characters that need to be represented:
      Dracula -- Count Dracula (both Bela Lugosi and John Carradine), Professor van Helsing;
      Frankenstein -- The Monster (both Boris Karloff and Glenn Strange), Henry Frankenstein, Ygor;
      The Mummy -- Kharis, Andoheb (Egyptian mystic turned High Priest of Karnak/Arkam and Kharis' handler), Stephen Banning & Babe Jenson (twice defeated Kharis & Andoheb);
      The Invisible Man -- Geoffrey Radcliffe (I know that Jack Griffin/Claude Rains was the original, but Vincent Price just has a much more recognizable voice);
      The Wolfman --Larry Talbot, Maleva the gypsy woman;
      The Creature from the Black Lagoon -- the Gill-Man, Captain Lucas.
      5) even though he was overshadowed by Talbot, some recognition should go to Dr. Wilfred Glendon from "Werewolf of London"
      6) If the Phantom of the Opera makes an appearance, it should alternate between Lon Chaney, Sr.'s silent black & white version and Claude Rains' talking technicolor version (which was the only UCM film to win any Academy Awards)

    This is easily my most anticipated new land. I honestly don't care at all about any of the others. I hope they really go out with this thing and make it true to the original films. I cannot wait to go here! (In an ideal world the entire new park would be based on the classic monsters and each land would be based on a different monster)

    An Invisible Man Meet & Greet would be cool if done the way you describe, where you're in a room & stuff would be seen to move around (by animatronics or whatever), but it would be even cooler if they could somehow rig up an audio-system so that it sounds as though there's his disembodied voice actually there in the room (by hidden speakers or whatever.) You know, like maybe his voice seems to come from over there in the chair (where the cushions are pressed down by an unseen force), then over there, by the floating wine-glass or whatever. They could maybe get a live actor to do the voice & actually respond to & take questions from park guests, for extra realism. (Needless to say, it'd have to be somebody really good at doing improv!)

    • @gustavishmichelle3575
      @gustavishmichelle3575 3 года назад +2

      Loooove the idea of a live actor terrorizing the guests in the meet & greet! Similiar to the Donkey animatronic near the shrek ride. As a fan, i think it would be THE most memorable way to do so. They gotta have that iconic laugh down though!!

    Part of me says that one of the monsters would be "The Host" of the land, and be the one to bring all the monsters together into this village/part of the park.
    A story reason could be that this monster/person saw that due to the progressing times that they need to adapt to survive, and they are using the park area as a trap of sorts for the guests in order to get their money and eventually their lives.
    The merchandise is in-universe reasoning to fund the land to build more attractions to bring more guests in.
    And the rides could play around with near-death scenarios .etc. and if the riders survive (in-universe mind you, they'd survive all the time in reality), they think it was just a cool experience and would buy merchandise to fund more rides at the land.
    This is honestly why I think Dracula would fit as a host, he also has that host vibe and the planning mentality to make such a land as a way to adapt to the modern day, especially as an entity who has lived for hundred of years before.

    While a LOT of people think the main attraction will include all (or most) of the monsters, I think it would be better if it were focused on one monster (at least mainly). So a Dracula's or Frankenstein's castle dark ride or roller coaster would be my pick.
    About the dining options... Maybe they might have a more "generic" classy restaurant. Maybe set in a museum (an Egyptian museum or a museum of the weird). Or even the Prodigium head quarters from the 2017 The Mummy. Elegant vampires (or ancient Egyptians) might show up for having a ball from time to time.
    A cocktail bar MUST be themed to Dr. Jekyll
