Mele's Quieter3 is my main machine now. It gets hot but I really enjoy the compact, quiet machine and it runs Linux perfectly. It struggles a bit when I edit 1080p videos in Shotcut but I don't game on it so it's mostly ok. Hope someone releases a fanless machine or even laptop with an N300 chip (or AMD's whatever equivalent) cuz it's apparently more than double the performance of Quieter3.
I use the 3Q with HomeAssistant and tons of Dockers running everything I need 24/7. Bought for 200E on German Amazon in times when Pi4 hadn't been available for many months... All I miss is 2.5GB, but with WIFI 6 I get better speeds than with 1GB lan. I still woulnd't buy a Pi4 again nor the Pi5.
I suppose if the form factor is the paramount concern, then that can trump any other consideration, but if one can live with a 4x4 mini, there are N100 Beelinks (for example) for $180 USD with 500GB of nvme (though probably 1 or 2 lanes) and 16GB of socketed RAM, etc. And eMMC speaks for itself. Nonetheless, it was interesting to see the two units compared.
The Quieter4C is a different mini PC. This one is bigger with active cooling, while the Quieter4C is passive and silent but runs hot and has worse performance.
These mini PCs with modified Windows installation. Have you ever tried to erase the drive, do a clean installation of Windows on your own and see if they will activate as they should? This is clearly a better computer than the previous model. Hopefully the third one, (MeLe Sanity?) will come with non soldered storage at all and unmodified installation of Windows and an air cooled N100. Also, perhaps a nice bright orange color? Please? Good review.
How about just not usint the emmc at all? Just copy data using an external m.2 drve. Some come with acronis installed. plug the m.2 in and either disable format the enmmc.
OK, so this is what I want this for.. I want to keep it in my pocket and stream to my phone with using Bluetooth and a phone controller and play steam games. I know it might not play aaa games however I want it for indie games to play online. Is this doable?
If your using xbox cloud gaming should work, idk about on your phone though, im looking into portable computer screens and these type of computers myself to fit in my backpack like a laptop.
MeLe has instructions for this on their website. Good idea to follow it as can be a bit tricky. Several Howtos around as well, especially on Astronomy forums and sites.
I would like a recommendation for a mini pc. I currently have the chuwi larkbox x with the N100. I am looking for a mini pc, that has a little more power and not too high power consumption. are there any recommendations? sorry for my english 😏
I bought the Mele Overclock 4C and ran Furmark on it. I'm getting 5FPS at 1920 X 1080 and 2FPS at 3840 X 2160. I would have expected more. Did I do something wrong?
You didn't mention which one it was and what was crap about it. Maybe you're better better off following the other channels that provide all glowing reviews with no comparisons.
Thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Do you recomend the n100 version over the n95? I´m not sure why n95 version is more expensive

@@Robtech thx for the answer, but i´m talking about both Overclock4C models, there is n95 and n100 version
Okay, I had a look. That was just released. I likely won't be reviewing it.
Can anyone tell me which one would work best with a nexdock?
All of them can work fine.
Any kind of malware in default apps? As many chinese mini pc were shipped with malware software pre installed ?
No

@@LeChimp-jg6fh Or not have the emmc drive at all and have an nvme or at least m.2 sata drive there?
@@TrusteftTech EMMC is soldered on it, you will have to disable it
@@Basics_of_Gameology Beautiful. Few things are better than soldered crap storage solution.
:( missed out on the expired coupon

I suppose it would be possible to transfer the OS on the nvme drive?
Yep, but not sure if the Windows license would carry over. Can be iffy about hardware changes
@@Robtech Done this with two MeLe's, license is stored in firmware on the MB, so no problem.

2:58 Naw that's sketch AF. Y'all need to wipe these things if you end up buying these.
good rule of thumb for any pc really

Yes, you ran Furmark on an N95. What's the goal?

Test the n200 of these pcs
I've already reviewed two N200s. Both in the charts
@@Robtech were i can find those charts??? Thx

Soldered storage is a deal-killer for a lot of people. That's Apple-speak to me.
Why call it “overclock”? Stupid marketing.
I bought a mini pc based on your reviews about it and it was c.r.a.p so I had to return it after two weeks so it'll be hard to believe you now.
