I would love to see a streetcar or BRT line going from the Amtrak station through downtown and then off to the airport. It would tie all of the bus system together and link our two major transportation systems, the airport and train station, together and giving lower income folks and elderly folks more options to go around the city.
@@dewainfeller9332 I work for the New York City transit authority and I’m used to seeing buses run 24/7, I know Rochester might not have that sort of system now but from what I observed when I visited earlier this year were 2 and 3 busses running right behind each other. I think RTS could use on the road dispatchers like they do in NYC to make sure the buses are running at least 15 mins apart during peak hours, this way people don’t have to wait 30 minutes for the next bus. Not sure if you are in a position to maybe relay that message to some of the officials running the RTS.
@@dewainfeller9332 Got it, I thought that might have been the case that different bus lines converging on the same route. Well hopefully the new hybrid buses RTS got will alleviate some of that wait time. Hope to be back up this summer to see the town, it was kind of cold when I went.
