Thank you BristolRE for such good memory. I miss First london bus service and the old Plaxton President metroline bus with the staircase a little bit at the back
Bus spotting isn’t as fun for people who loves watching buses nowadays. every bus seen in this video is withdrawn and gone, we just dont see them anymore. Great Buses, Huge memories.
@zaidrim Thank You. As for cost effective, I'd say yes. Buses are not always busy throughout the entire route, all routes have sections where you are constantly picking up and then the majority get off at a prime location, like an Underground station etc and then the bus looks empty!
Are these double deck buses cost effective. I have not seen one full to capacity in the videos I have played. Yet I do see the articluated buses full. You have very good videos.
@punzi31 I am surprised you were told that the camera's do not record - they do. Every bus is fitted with a minimum of 8 working cameras and the Police regularly request CCTV evidence for court etc. However due to the data protection act, bus companies cannot simply view the CCTV at your request, it needs to come from the Police. Had you gone to the Police, they could have requested this on your behalf, located the offender & if that person used an Oyster card to travel with they would be traced
@zaidrim when these buses get full they get ridiculously that you cant even get out coz the bus driver doesnt know when to stop opening the doors for other people until he cant even close the door afterwards
i was in london in 2009 with my family and was robbed off our camera from our bag in a bus at hyde park, when we spoke at the depot and asked them to look in too the recording done from the camera in the bus they said they do not record.how safe is it to travel in these busses?

There's still the OMNICITYs on route 97 operated by Stagecoach.
There's still the Enviro 400s.
This was the first video I ever liked :)
Cheers - feel free to like many more of mine!

This is old wow!
Routemasters remain on two short central London sections of routes 9 and 15 as a tourist attraction, running alongside normal buses on these routes.

I like your video, although there is nothing but buses.
BristolRE was born in Nov 5 2005
instead of seeing buses, look at how each bus is different from another... Try to identify them.
I wished 10 was still operated by FL
