ngl life would be so much easier if adobe used the same names for same functions between its programs. If preserve transparency works just like a clipping mask in photoshop (the one program most ppl know) then just... just name both clipping mask....

But then I'd only have half as much to talk about :O

No, then Adobe gets too easy and isn’t it special anymore if you can use those programs.

i mean i think they all used to be separate programs before being bought by adobe but come on theyve had years to update them why cant they at least make the key to "play" what you're working on the same?? i hate switching between animate and after effects and having to be like "oh yeah, animate uses the enter key and after effects uses the spacebar" every. time.

WONDERFUL VIDEO BEN! My gripe with design content in general is how the editing is sterile and boring which in turn doesn't engage the learner, and this video obliterates that peeve with humor and "get-to-the-point" editing. Love to see what new content comes from you next!

Awesome video. I’ve never really taken advantage of “preserve underlaying transparency”
Gotta disagree on b tiering Overlay mode.
If Screen, and Multiply are A tier, Overlay is actually the combination of both of those modes, anything below a 50% value gets multiplied while anything above 50% value is screened anything at 50% value (808080) just disappears. It’s A tier for sure!
Place grain on an middle grey background (808080) then apply it to the comp using overlay and mix to taste with transparency.
    Amazing for textures.
    Cheers, thanks for the tips!
