Wow! I've heard these demo'd on another RUclips video by the Yamaha Corporation and I was quite unimpressed... WHY does your video sound sooooo much better??!
i noticed that the difference between the dtx450 and dtx400 is the silent bass drum on the dtx400k, what is the advantage of the silent bass drum pedal.. does it move forward that you have to pull it back ? or is it just alright. i am concerned with the price difference betwenn the two, but i am also worried with the 400k silent bass drum pedal.. what is your opinion.?
Great demo!! My son who is 7 wants to learn an instrument, he wants a drum kit but we live in an apartment. This would be perfect. Need to see if we can work out a deal ;)
@@PrantikNath I just hopped off literally after practicing for an hour. Unfortunately I don’t have any videos of me playing on this. I can tell you it is solid and robust. It’s a bit dusty but it is still going strong after ten years. To me the dtx402k is a downgrade from this version with the exception of a chokeable crash and the ability to record on the module.I think the sounds on thie 400 were so much better. They took the marching percussion off and I love that kit.
Tenho uma 450k e simplesmente o aplicativo não funciona segundo informações o app foi descontinuado e quem possuí o instrumento como fica ? Poderia permanecer sem atualização para os usuários alguém tem alguma dica
Great video and cool drumming! I think about getting the Yamaha DTX450K But i have one question is it possible to just use the hi-hat pedal as a hi-hat pedal instead of a base drum in the hardrock kit? Thanks!
You can change all the sounds in all the kits to whatever you like, check the Yamaha website, it has an overview of the entire kit, including the sound options
I'm still on the fence if I want to get the entire kit or buy the beaterless pedal separate to replace the old noisy one making too much racket in my apartment. Can the pedal featured in the DTX400K be used on all DTX series drum kits? I have an old DTXpress IV I'd like to wire it into. I play heel up and I'm wondering how natural or comfortable it feels to play.
***** Not 100% with how the pedal would be used with other ones, but getting the pad so you can use a real pedal is LOADS better, more realistic to play so helps when can't get on an acoustic kit to practice without having to lose the ability to train footwork properly. It also means you can switch in a double pedal, I know one of the "kits" comes with doubles, but then you sacrifice opening and closing the hihats!
if you have a usb converter to your phone or tablet that has the app on it, you should just buy a double kick pedal. I would recommend a dw, cheap and effective
How sturdy are these things.. I mean I'm sure they can be broken if you're really trying (which I wouldn't be) but I do tend to play hard... is a huge adjustment needed between this type of electronic kit and an acoustic set, both in terms of power and technique?
there is a 3.5mm aux INPUT but no output. if you would like to use headphones or speaker (and it doesnt come with speakers) you will need a 3.5mm converter to an amp input/output, unless the headphones or speaker already has an input like that. hope this helps!
its just my opinion, but i think that buy eletronic drums are just a nice way to say "I dont want to bother the neighbors"
+yago elias (Frigids) also space issues -.I have no room for an acoustic kit
Jared Dowty all that, and in my case Kids and Work keeps me from spending tons of hours setting up mics on a drum set properly 😜
"I don't want to bother the neighbors" is already a nice thing to say
His voice is gold
Had no idea Jon Snow could play drums so well...
Loool cracked me up!
+surreal99 Hahahaha!

With once I saw this man I thought that he didn't know anything. But boy was I proven wrong.
Jon Snow
Nice solo, man!
Your right
i just have a question about the 450k
does your hit affect the volume of the pad or it has fixed volume no matter how you hit it??
are the cymbals on the 400K choke-able?
No
Hey, it's Jon Snow from Game of Thrones!! LOL.
I have this kit , I did a freestyle and if enough people like it ill make videos of every kit and song
yes, you have to switch it to the metal-function on the pad :)
does the DTX400k come with headphones like the DTX450k?
How are you doing the bell sound for the ride?
Thanks for the video.
it it possible to play a dragon force song with it?
I have yamaha kd65 bass pad, if i buy DTX400K can i use that yamaha pad on these drums ?
hey can v add cymbals to the main set???
is it possible to combine the dtx450k with a double bassdrum machine?
This looks okay but the new Yamaha DTX502 is the one I'm looking forward to.

Are those drum sets compatible with rock band for the wii

can i plug this into a conventional amp?
Ay he was playing Aerosmith
Really interested in getting the 450k model but was wondering if there´s a huge difference from getting the 500k. Is it worth it ?
what is the price mate
this was the kit I learned on.
how long does this thing lasts?
@@PrantikNathI’ve had mine ten years never a problem with it and I hit it hard.

on the 450, can the cymbals be caught?
does the sound come from an amplifier/speaker or was recorded?
does any double pedal works for the 450k kit?
yes
400 is about $500 - It is a great buy!
can you do that ?
Sounds great! What amp are you running this through?

yep
no prob! :)
I came here for the drums and stayed because this guy is hot
Is the cymbal on dtx450 chokeable?
No not these.
The 402k series has a chokeable crash cymbal only.
Super bici
Is it possible to play on your own music with an iPod or some kind of thing?
yes you can. I have my set interfaced with my computer. Takes one cable.
It'd be really cool if you guys could answer the question that's been asked a few times now about whether the cymbals can be choked...
For the dtx450.. does the bass pedal produce a lot of vibration?.. I live on a second floor.. thanks for sharing!
Alejjo224 A bit late perhaps - but it does in my opinion. I built myself a simple platform for it to stand on, which absorbs a lot though.

ok, thanks man! :)
Hi, I'm buying the dtx450k and I'm wondering if it needs an amp? or I can play without buying a seperate amp with no headphones? please reply.
You can use a nomal speaker, but the "machine" itself cant produce sounds
Can I customize mine for Double Kick instead of Changing to Kit 3 ?
no i dont think so

have the yamaha dtx400k also a double base???
Yes
He's a good drummer
please do :)
is there an aux input?
Yup
hey james!
Can you catch the ride and crash symbol to stop them?
sadly you can't
I wish you knew how to set an audio level.
he didnt hit the floor tom on kit 8! it sounds so fucking nice. check out my vid where i demo all the kits

***** Awesome, thanks! I went ahead and purchased the 450K a couple of months ago and so far I'm really happy with everything.
Hello sir, i found out that my left kick sounds so low and subtle (3rd preset) on my DTX450K. Did anyone had this problem? How to fix this. Thanks!
me too
the hi hat pedal becomes a kick pedal and the hi hat stays open
want the 450 so I can add my iron cobra double bass anyway :P

How?
with the dtx450, are you able to choke the cymbals?
Can I customize mine for Double Kick instead of Changing to Kit 3 ?
Yes, you can customize any of the 10 kits that it has to your own.
It has like 150 sounds.
